Customer service was attentive throughout my dining experience.I ordered one plate of Shrimp and Corn Fritters as well as a bowl of Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Breast Vermicelli Noodle Salad. Each dish was enjoyable from the crisp exterior of the fritters to the mint in the noodle salad which complimented the char grilled juicy chicken breast. Though, the veggies under the fritters tasted better when combined with the nước mắm chấm sauce in the vermicelli bowl and the chicken definitely could have used more lemongrass as well as more fried shallots on top.The food leaned slightly more salty and savory. Lime citrus and any spices were mild. In regards to flavor palate, it would accommodate a wide range of guests. When it came to dessert, there were a few options. I chose one called, Bittersweet: fried dough sticks, vanilla ice cream, and Vietnamese coffee. I wished the fried dough sticks were not crisp all the way through. It would have been better to have some chewiness on the inside to help soak up the coffee and ice cream.
I came here specifically for pho, so it wasn’t delightful to hear that they were out of raw beef for the pho beef. Their pho doesn’t come with bean sprouts. Grilled pork in the vermicelli was on the salty side and tasted different from what I’ve had at other Vietnamese restaurants. The shrimp summer roll was fresh and tasty.
The service was very attentive as we were waiting for food, the waitress made sure our water cup is always filled up. Unfortunately they dont have vietnamese coffee but only espresso. We ordered the vermicelli lemongrass n grilled chiken x shrimp summer roll. Very good portion than I thought. Would def go back to try other dishes.
Is it every too hot for some Pho?! For pho enthusiast the answer is NO! After taking the kids to gantry park to get some of the rivers breeze and release some energy, we stopped into Cyclo for noodles for the kids. Everything was delicious, the kids ate everything and when kids eat things that means it’s GOOD! The oxtail broth was perfect not to subtle and not too overwhelming with the beef and fish sauce flavor, it was the perfect balance.
Super bad dine in experience. The pho used to be good. We did take out several times. But the lady in the front desk is very rude to us tonight. We just leave without ordering anything. She didnt apologize at all. Wont come back again.
Food came out fast, just like the service. The meat was good.
Ordered the vegetarian bành mi sandwich, spinach dumplings and banana rice pudding. We only had to wait like 10 minutes or so for our food. The dumplings and sandwich were mildly spicy. The banana pudding had a unique sweet flavor, I recommend trying that. There is currently only an outdoor sitting area but Id like to return to eat inside when were no longer in a pandemic
Great service, yummy food! Highly recommended the Hoisin Duck
Incredible food. Homey atmosphere. Generous portions. I would travel from any borough to eat here. Highly recommended!I would give more stars if I could!!!!!
Hands down the SALTIEST pho broth Ive ever had. Not to mention some what pricey. Would not come back for the pho and thats Pho sure.We ordered 2 beef phos and an order of spring rolls. The rolls came out first and were delicious. Naturally, we were excited for the noodles but it was the absolute worst. Would not recommend the pho.
The pho has wonderful broth and generous amount of meat. I’d recommend dine in because in this way the noodles are better preserved (in takeout boxes they may get broken into small pieces)
High quality Vietnamese establishment that is a local staple in Long Island City. Cyclo offers a variety of lunch and dinner specials, the service is swift and efficient (whether ordering in or take out).My partner and I are vegetarian and we’ve enjoyed the variety of options. Definitely check out the pho and banh mi (sandwich) options and the quail egg wontons (if you’re into trying that sort of stuff).
Food is good. Service is good. Nothing remarkable. Inexpensive. Outdoor seating area is off the avenue, so a little less hectic than those on it.
Great place. Get the quail eggs!
All the food ordered are so delicious! Perfect spot to have a meal. Great dinning environmental and excellent service
Long Island City has some AMAZING places to eat. Cyclo is no exception! Everything Ive tried has been very delicious and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!
Great Vietnamese food. Outdoor patio is really cute. Really fresh bread make for some awesome Bahn mi.Get the real spice
Great outdoor seating. Had the pho and pork spring rolls, so good!
Yummy food and drinks! Really fast service and very cozy atmosphere. Great meeting spot for friends or a casual date!
Pretty decent food at a great price. Ordered the grilled pork banh mi. No complaints here.
Great food ! We tried Roast duck with rice and beef pho!
The fried rice (spicy one w/ curry) is really good if you enjoy spicy food. The pho noodles are decent, nothing spectacular but not bad. The spring roles w/ shrimp were fresh and tasty. I’ve probably been here 5-ish times, and I actually like it more every time I visit.
Ordered a classic banh mi and it tasted overpoweringly like black pepper ground beef? Not bad but also not what youd expect getting a banh mi.
Growing up, there was always Gà Kho Gừng (🇻🇳 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚣𝚎𝚍 𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚗 🐔) in the fridge, ready to be eatened at a moments notice 🕛. I mean, literally 4 containers worth at all times. Nowadays, not so much.So when we visit this Vietnamese eatery, we usually order their clay pot rendition of our beloved braised 🐔 and 🍚. Bonus for steamed greens 🥬 to balance out the saltiness.
Would rate negative for Cyclo if I could. For those interest in delivery from here, heed my warning: they do NOT wrap their food well. Particularly, large soup bases such as Pho should be individually wrapped to keep the liquid contents secure during transport. But they do NOT take the extra step, precaution to do this. Soup is just thrown straight into a paper bag allowing for leakage. Bag ripped clean on the bottom due to this as soon as it was removed from plastic bag and soup spilled all over kitchen floor. However, the worst part of the experience is the woman who picked up the phone. I kindly called to let them know and suggest that for large liquid items, to wrap them individually, but was met with apathy. She then proceeded to blame the delivery person and blatantly refused to take any advice. Customer service makes up a large part of the dining in as well as take out/delivery experience. Such lack of care on part of this employee speaks volumes on how they operate and would not be surprised if it spills over (no pun intended) knowingly or unknowingly to other aspects of their food handling.
Great Vietnamese food! And a very friendly environment.
I found a bug in the meal it was gross- don’t come here! They don’t offer refunds or anything like that even though I have them a large tip!
We ordered takeout on Friday evening. The pho is very delicious, carefully packed. The papaya salad is amazing!! The food was prepared fast and delivered fast. Will certainly try more things next time!
Its ok but dont have enough in meñu
Contemporary Vietnamese restaurant on 47th Ave. They do serve Banh Mis and Pho but do also look into their other options: the grilled pork in the vermicelli noodle salad (aka bun) was simply scrumptious. We also shared the quail egg dumplings and an order of tofu/mushroom clay pot rice, the latter was strongly flavored with pepper so steer clear if thats not your thing.
They were really good, and super accommodating. They didn’t have chicken broth, only beef broth. But it was still quite good.
Best Vietnamese I’ve tried in NY
Their chicken Pho soup is fantastic. Great for warming ones bones on a cold winters day or night.
Really great pho and fried rice. Very nice and spicy. The service absolutely excellent. The only complain I have is that they put too many vegetables in the pho that did not really go too well with it but I think they were just trying to make up for the lack of meat. Would recommend asking them to not put the broccoli in it! Otherwise absolutely perfect!!!
The food was delicious!! Best pho and ban mih sandwich!
Cyclo holds a very special place in my heart. I came here years ago and it was my first timehaving pho. I fell in love. I don’t live in the area so I’ve been all over Long Island trying to find pho that is just as good and it’s impossible. There is nothing like Cyclo! I highly recommend trying their entrees, especially the curry fried rice. The food here is amazing
Very good and affordable Vietnamese food!
Ordered ahead for lunch, called and asked to move the scheduled delivery up to a sooner time and they accommodated. Great value for the food I got, ingredients are fresh! Will order again soon.
Quail Egg Wontons are excellent
Very good vegetarian Pho. The woman at the counter was nice.
The banh mi was terrible. The bread was soggy. It was so soggy that it infused with wrapping paper. Funny thing, they also forget to add the spicy mayo. So the sandwich was wet on the outside and dry in the insideand bland. Definitely a wasted $22 for 2 sandwiches.I had their banh mis before and it was good. So I know they can do better but I dont know if Im going to go back again.
Food is amazing! Got the lemon grass chicken and the porc fried rolls and both were a pure delight! Been to Vietnam so I know Vietnamese food very well and this restaurant definitely pays tribute to the Vietnamese gastronomy! Will definitely come back!
Today was my third or fourth time eating at Cyclo. I ordered my food and received a call asking if I had an allergy to mushrooms since I requested no mushrooms in my entree. I’ve never had a restaurant ask me if it was an allergy or just a preference. I didn’t get to how the food tastes: amazing. This is why I have been to Cyclo multiple times. Today was just the icing on the cake. The clay pots and the bahn mi are what I would recommend. The pho is great too!
Disappointed. Number one issue was that the pho was luke warm. The flavors are also slightly different to what I consider a classic pho, probably a modern take. There are much better pho places out there but not in this area.Banh mi was a different take as well. Filled with ground meat and it tasted not bad. Coffee wasn’t traditional. It’s probably the only viet place around but I wouldn’t settle for this. Manhattan prices and cute decor doesn’t make up for the food unfortunately.
I tried Pho once and did not like it. I tried it here and fell in love with it.
Amazing taste, good prices
Wow how good this place is! I mean seriously. You need to check it out. Service, pricing and food were VERY good. It was my first time here, but for sure not the last one. Highly recommended.
The food was horrible. They forced the noodle and vegetables into a small container and all noodles were broken into small pieces. The pork chops were very dry. They really need to improve the quality of the food.
4 Stars for a take out order.1. Tilapia sandwich with a fried egg and honey mustard sauce. Good sandwich. Wish I ordered a classic Banh Mi with it.2. Papaya salad with Shrimp was very good. Not spicy so if you are used to that, ask.3. Iced coffee and a bubble tea. Had better of both elsewhere but they did the job. From what I see this place knows what they are doing and I would most definitely order from them again.
Good Vietnamese food!
Best pho.
Good Vietnamese food!!
Had a few dates here with my girlfriend and the service was always great! When i remember the food we got, Ill update this, but, I remember it was great. The space is maximized for seating and it isnt crowded. Staff isnt in your face all the time asking if you want to buy something else.
The best bahn mi I’ve ever had
Freaking delicious. The revamped menu is awesome. I’m boring so I always go for the pho but I am super keen to try everything on the menu! Thank you for serving an amazing Vietnamese for the neighborhood!
One of the best vietnamese restaurants in LIC. The pho is amazing as are the Banh mi sandwich with the fried egg.
Great food, atmosphere and friendly! We were walking by and it smelled amazing. It was so cold so we ducked in for hot pho and were not disappointed!
The tofu sandwhich is delicious!!!!
Why have I not been coming here for longer? Ugh, the wasted months of living in this neighborhood and not eating here... Ive already started to change that and ordered take out twice this week. The Shrimp Vermicelli bowl and the Salt and Pepper Shrimp were fantastic!
Delish
Still trying to find a amazing Vietnamese place. But this has so far been one of my favorites. Had the bun and it was pretty good. However the sandwiches here are too notch!
Very nice sidestreet restaurant which you probably wouldnt notice easily if you were walking down Vernon Blvd. Very clean, modern decor. Great service. If you are in the neighborhood and even think that you might be hungry definitely stop in. Had the beef sandwich and the clay pot beef stew. Stew was excellent. Sandwich was one of the best ever.
Very well organised and welcoming restaurant. They serve big portions and for fair rates. I enjoyed the food a lot and the waiters were very friendly and informative. Highly recommended.
Nice, cozy place with great food. The portions were a bit smaller than the norm, but it makes it up completely in taste. If youre craving some Vietnamese food, this is a good spot.
Always has been a Great place. But the Pho recently was a disappointment.
Food is great, service is fine and food did not take too long. We were one of the parties to arrive and we were a large table.Spinach dumplings are really good, vermicelli beef noodle dish was also really good. Stir fry mixed vegetables were great. We did not have one complaint with our food. Everything was good and decent portions.
Food is AMAZING here! The staff is really nice here and very attentive. If you love vietnamese food than you have to come here! Highly recommend this place!
