Putlur Railway Station, the next station from thiruvallur

Station is often occupied by strangers and north indian people. Only one ticket counter is here. You have to cross the track and get the ticket. Local trains only stop here.

Very worst in cleaning and also many using this station for drinking and weed smoking not maintaining this station cleanliness even the ticket counter person was very harsh with passengers and now no train was stopping here. Government sold the ticket counter for private will government see this and take any action? God only knows because money will speak they wont listen to public passengers voice let the officials come and visit and they ask about this station to public. Many passengers cant able to use this station without train stopping here what for this station is to be here ?

Lonely place out of city, tha very famous putlur temple is walkable distance from this station, temple visitors must use the city local train to reach this station then reach temple is very economical and comfortable,their is so many shops between temple and station

Shelter ok. Not so clean. Signals good. No announcement if train get canceled or running late. Tickets issued even if trains are not going, I suppose this is because this station is run by contract not govt.

This station has no public announcement system. Has moderate shelter for bad weather and as of now seats are buried in the concrete after increasing the platform elevation. Lights needs to be improved, which will be helpful for people who commute in night.EMU and few Fast local trains stops here. Accessibility to this station needs to be improved. Manual crossing and bike rack is nearby.Local market is setup around this station on 10th of every month. Foot Overbridge is currently not functional. No shops within station premises. So, better to have your own water bottle and essential things, if traveling from this station.Just 2 active platforms. Not sure if the third platform is functional. Trains towards Tiruvallur/Arakkonam stops in Platform 1 (where the ticket counter is). In Platform 2 trains towards Avadi/Chennai stops.
