It is not a museum but a workshop for sculptures. You can witness people making beautiful art pieces from different materials like wood stone or brass. Small shop within the compound offers few of those artifacts and are very reasonably priced.

There are lots of craftsmen creating new items. Mesuem was closed. Temple was also closed. No display board found there .

Good collection and you see craftsmen working. But you feel you are not welcome here. All people there, except the priest, keep a long drawn face, not interested to talk to you. It started drizzling when We reached there; but nobody asked us to come under the shed where they were working and sitting. Oriya people are by and large simple and friendly, but not here.

The people who are making these statues and God sculptures are doing a great work of art, they are not just making these but they are putting their vision, skill, love and their whole life in this ossom art.. I salute them as a saver of our old architecture and art..

Handwork is on higher price here but at least some piece you can buy as memory of puri konark visit. Big and small both type of statues are here, maybe they are professionally supply them to different places.
