The Temple of Lord Shiva is onthe hill of Parvati around 70 meters form the ground & nicely carved steps will take you to the main temple, built in 16th Century in Maratha Rule by Peshwa Of Pune,Chief Administrator of Maratha Empire. Its simplicity is remarkable considering Maratha Rule over the Country in those days. Main Temple of Lord Shiv consists of Ling and idols of Shiv Parvati& Bal.Ganesh. There are Three Temples near by. Atmosphere hear is cool and calm. surrounded by Trees and Gardan. True Punekar visits this Temple Every day and keeps his Heath and devotion intact.

Parvati is a hill at the southern end of Pune city. Located a bit away from the city centrr, this is a place where you can sit peacefully for a while. About 200 steps to reach the top should not be much trouble for the youngsters. A cold breeze welcomes you atop with the chirping of birds. A temple is located at the top most part of the hill, while PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) has maintained a museum at a slightly lower level. One of the favorite weekend evening spot for most Punekars, it must be a part of your visit to Pune City

Its a good place quite trakking like experience, all three temples are good & historic , view of the city from terrace is breathtaking , the museam is a nice attraction but not kept well, canteen is here if u want to grab a bite of snacks or water bottel , washroom is present but very unclean, parking is not available. Also be aware of police here they can be unnecessarily very much nastey, avoid going or staying around hilly area after 6 pm as not safe for girls.Being comfy or casual after 6 pm may attract unwanted situations.
