This place is open/closed both currently at this date. People arent allowed and are being send back before reaching the dam, however if u have access to go beyond the dam for resorts or anything, u can go there. Although its no ones responsibility currently and is strictly prohibited.there waterfalls near the site which is better. Personal xp.
Went on 11th of july there is little water view is good if you go behind parking is 50 rs. for bike. due to lockdown it closes around 9:30 so wake up in mirning at 5 or 6 and just go there without any stops. tiger point is also that side and view from bridge is great. Live it but will go in august again as the flow of water is not good and population is very high. Little to no water and you have to lie in order to get soaked XD
The Bhushi Dam is a masonry dam on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Maharashtra, India. In 2014, the Indian Railways announced plans to develop Bhushi Dam as a tourist resort with participation from the private sector. Im happy to visit this place in Lonavla so must visit bushi dam
You will ever find such kind of dam structure 🏗 anywhere (step wise water flow 🌊).Where the water is falling 🌊 from steps when the dam is full. This happens on start of June of every year when the rainy 🌧 season starts and tremendous of crowd that you will not have a place to keep your foot 👣. I have shared few pictures 📷 and traveled with my friends & family many times ⌚Going towards the mountain ⛰ side after passing the dam, there are amazing waterfall 🌊 and people usually spent quality time here and enjoy in rainy seasons. Really beautiful & romantic place to visit.Go with your family 👨👩👧👦 and friends once in rainy season. Generally, here you will find mostly couples 👫 and friends in groups.Cautions ⚠- Every year there are news 📰 on people falling from the steps due to the slippery of steps and person lost their life. So be careful when you travel to this place and be cautious. It looks like easy & simple to walk however due to tremendous flow of water, it gets slippery.Local people are used to these places, so they can easy walk to any of the corner.
Nice picnic spot for family surrounded by beautiful nature. But it is very dirty because people litter here a lot. People just throw trash everywhere and take out its natural charm. It is a private property which is turned into a tourist spot as there is no authority to maintain it. Best time to visit is definitely monsoon for natural waterfall.
Beautiful place to visit in masoon , but one has to carefully to get to the dam because we have to walk through knee level water from the road to get to the dam and its also slippery, some local vendors may try to rent slippers and others things by intimidating us of dangers ahead, we can just ignore them, if we know how to take care of ourselves.

Totally commercialized place with tons of shops around and everyone trying to grab your vehicle to park at their location. On top of this they charge 100 bucks for nothing. As you walk towards dam, you will see many shops selling corn, bhaji, chai etc all around you. Not sure why so many shops are given permission as it completely destroy the beautiful nature. Plus the prices are at higher side. Even 3 star hotels wouldnt be charging you that muchAvoid this place on weekends as its super crowded.
So not ever never visit Lonavala it is sooo tatttiii
It is open and great place to photoshoot and suggest to go in monsoon
Lovely Point
Awesome***** place so beautiful and greenery and full of fun time .... Love it
Best time to visit is September end when the rains are on the verge of going but its still so crisp green and beautiful around.
Nice place To Visit but not during weekends ...weekend may be very crowded...The only thing I dint like was some Illiterates having their bath with soaps ND shampoo in the dam ..Rest the scenic view is awesome....If u all are literate enough please dont litter things around ..Another important thing my driver warned me about not changing clothes in the changing room provided by the shops ..they fix cameras ND all there ..so be alert ..
Good place for bath , I suggest keep extra clothe for change, but change room facilities is not available.
Its amazing to see and click a snap but this lockdown cops are doing there heavy job to safeguard people
Best time to visit there on monsoon days. Water is overflow from the dam and hits the step on monsoon days. No entry fee.
Wonderful place.... check out the waterfalls....
Nice place to visit with family. The falls behind the dam was so good. Its the best falls I have ever been went before.
Bhushi Dam which is already an attraction in Lonavala has a serene view and really great point for visiting with your family. Trip to Lonavala isnt complete without this spot being touched upon, it is a bigger hit in the monsoon season, I mean in here what isnt ☺
Nice lovely place...One can enjoy here a lot,Be ready to get wet...Hungry !! Dont worry you can get Maggie here to eat
Nice area to short trip.... Just see the photos.
It is very good spot to spending time with friends.. must visit
Really great place. Dam looks amazing when you go to the last step. But too crowded!
Must visit during monsoon.Best months to visit: Aug-SepMust carry a waterproof mobile pouch to capture great moments.Perfect place to go with friends/ solo.
Guess we went on right time, Dam was overflowing and it created nice view. Water was clean and chill so it was nice.Lonavala thanks for being welcoming and making it special for me
Should have more facilities from MH government. Very enjoyable place with lots of people around you.
Beautiful dam , fun to play in overflowing dam water . But very crowded especially weekends , because of weekend destination for local people ....Dont forget to fold your pants n hold Ur shoes before going there
Good place for visiting in summer you can enjoy the rain and waterfalls.
Its a very great place to have fun with friends and family
This is a dam like structure for storing rain water surrounded by the hills. Usually it attracts lot of crowds during rainy season when the dam overflows and provides plenty of fun n frolic to the tourists. During other months it is quite dirty but the crowd continues to visit since it is on the tourist circuit. Hundreds of tea and fruit stalls available in and around this place. Parking is available.
Heavenly place , if you visit during monsoon. Ordinary during summer and winter. Overall place worth your time and money.
Excellent refreshment place after corona
Good views and you will enjoy the nature. Not as much as good place but can say ok. Very short space, good place for family and kids but there are many places there you can enjoy with less crowd.
Amazing place to have refreshing bath in chilled water.
Nice location best for couples.
Awesome place to visit and hangout with friends and dear ones .. Peaceful
In the way from lonavla to lions & tigers point. Best time is during monsoon season as dam overflows. A lot food stalls to eat. Best place for mumbaikers to hang out in weekends.
The lake js beautiful and the water is cool. The cool breeze maintains the temperature.
Its always been pleasant coming here, just that too much littering and slippery due to non maintenance of the place.
The dam spread in a very wide range. Very good place to go with family friends.
Overall the dam view and location is lit🔥
Calm and nice place. The dam is a small one. Not that big. If you can trek uphill of the bhushi hills, then you can get a great view of the valley plus the town below. It just feels so wonderful!
When monsoon become this place changes like paradise. Can see beautiful waterfall and greenish environment. Good traditional food al so available in very cheep price. Good place to visit.
Scenic view 🤩The happiness & vibrance 🤩 when you reach the dam veiwThe waterfalls nearby the dam are awesomePersonal Xperience ❣️ loved the waterfalls path
Wow ...nature at its best .Climb the nearby hills for the best view.Nimbu Pani is tasty.
Its an amazing place to chill out.. Monsoon season is the best time to visit. The overflowing dam view from the hilltop is a breathtaking view.
Nice and Peaceful place..
Nothing is there. If you can go from back side, you will see same dam.I did not see any dam there. Not a man made one. Not sure why called a dam.Parking and beverages are overpriced on the road.An over hype.
Nice and exciting getaway especially in Monsoons.
Cool place. For couples
Water flows over the stairs in rainy season only. Good place to enjoy with friends, family, kids. Parking and food is very expensive. No cleanliness. Too crowded on weekends and holidays.
Best best to visit in Rainy days...
Its the natures beauty for trekers and travellers
Awesome place, police was there minding the unruly people and atmosphere was good. Needs to be cleaner though.
Its a wonderful place for tracking
Only two months July and August it will be season. Security persons urged to leave out by 6Pm. Good place for Family to spend time. After bath in waterfalls had a onion pakoda and hot masala tea. worth for money.
Beautiful scenic point
Its quite different during rains and now, well both are pretty beautiful✌️
Visit during rainy season. Its great if you love playing in water... Try and reach the dam early around 930am. The crowd is less during early hours which would allow uninterrupted fun. There is a waterfall as well for which you have to climb the dam stairs to the top and then follow the track beyond. The path which goes from the parking ground is not advisable. This is because there is a lot of glass litter there and sharp fragments. If you are wearing footwear with thin sole then it can easily penetrate the material. Rest the choice is yours.Theres Sunils wax museum nearby and its worth visiting.
This was a good experience to walk up in the waters to the damn and just have a seat there with water rolling under the feet. It’s a peaceful sight. Best enjoyed in group though!
Beautiful place to sit around with friends and water falling from stone its somewhere good with fun and romance.
Awesome place to spend time in nature
Very good initiative by tourism .....nice place for family picnic nd having fun with friends...
Above bushidam a 15 mins of trek you will find a nice waterfall only after rains
Awesome place..must go once..
When u imagine a Dam you think of it as a huge place. But this one is miniature when It comes to the front that you can see. Some amount of water comes out when you go during peak monsoon. Otherwise this place is pathetic excuse of a getaway. Nothing good nearby. During monsoons people flock to this place like bees on honey. Hardly a place to stand. Stalls nearby give good fast food. Certainly not my type of place if one has to bump into so many people , I dont enjoy such a place even when weather is good and its raining and there is water around. Look at the crowd in my pics , horrible.
Lots of walking is requiredCould have been better had there been less garbage
Beauty at its peak at rainy season... Beautiful and calm in other seasons too...😍🔥😚
Very nice. Beautiful.
Very nice location to chill out and enjoy
Chilled water, awesome feeling. If you want to get wet then go inside the steps if not then just stand and take snaps. Both ways will b fun ✌️
