Paragliding is amazing, but you already know that.  You want to know whether coming to Fly Nirvana will be worthwhile.  It was for me.I came in late November having flown tandem once in Colombia and wanting to get certified.  I took the 11 day Elementary + Club Pilot course and loved it.  The first day we did ground handling and then I was in the air every day for the 10 days after that.  We first flew from the bottom of the bunny hill, then from the top, then from Tower Hill.  The conditions were always superb and I had over 4 hours of flight time with over 15 flights from Tower Hill.  People I talked to from Britain and Sweden told me that the certification I earned in just 11 days would take me at least a year in Europe due to inconsistent weather conditions.  I am happy I was able to get so much experience so quickly.The instruction was excellent.  I had two instructors Sandeep and Ravi, and as there were only two of us taking the Club Pilot course, we each had individual instruction.  I felt very comfortable, which was good because I was literally running off the side of a mountain.  We constantly focused on safety, but when I was in the air and trying to remember everything Id practiced on the ground they would radio that I should look around and enjoy the view.Fly Nirvana provided accommodations at Native Place, a permaculture oasis within Kamshet.  There were abundant fruit trees and butterflies, monkeys and hammocks.  I saw the sunrise at least 6 times during my stay, and saw the sun set each night over the adjacent reservoir.  The food was great with three meals provided each day, often packed and brought to the hill.  I was there over Thanksgiving which obviously isnt celebrated in India but we did happen to have a delicious tandoori barbecue with chicken and roti and a slew of new visitors from Sweden; it was a feast nonetheless.I full heartedly recommend coming to Kamshet to learn paragliding - the conditions are consistent and perfect for flying.  And when you come you should stay at Native Place for the beautiful scenery, delicious food and easygoing atmosphere.  And of course, the instruction Sandeep and Ravi gave made me feel safe as I progressed.

It was nice ride with Nirvana Paragliding.Professional flyers good skills.Nice spot for paragliding.Not good customer interactions and management of the visitors.Not well planned. Lack professionalism.People are good talkative but above points can be improved.For a first time visitor they should tell things like what to carry what not to carry, weather we can take our stuffs or not to the tower point/fly point.Communication and Interaction is poor.

We tried reaching this spot with our own four wheeler but we could not reach hilltop as the road is in a very bad shape and too narrow and trees on both side. If you search on maps, it is defined as road to hell Very dangerous. Please hire vehicles that locals ply over here. They are experienced ones to help you reach on hilltop safely.

Best experience ever I had... Flying in air...Wow....No words...Its location is little far from the local city almost outer. it will take around 45 mins to reach the destination.. It is situated in a small village..Keep your GPS on until you reach. Charges: 2700/- for 25Mins

They have policy of making students dependent rather then independent pilots and earn from their dependency. They give them limited skills and spoon fed them for as long as possible and earn from them in the name of assistance flying for as long as possible.

My favourite place to go chill out with friends, cut off from the city and the hustle and bustle, spend time in tranquility of nature, and, of course, go paragliding.

I recently finished my club Pilot Course with Nirvana Paragliding.Always a pleasure flying with them.Instructors as very knowledgeable, experienced & enthusiastic about developing the students skillset on the paraglider.Anybody interested in taking paragliding as a hobby or a sport, this school is a must visit.Curriculum laid out according to the international standards of BHPA.

This place is situated 15-20 km inside the kamshet highway. You have to enter the village or just follow the Google maps. If interested in paragliding you first have to report the office which is located at different location then the site. Youll see a milestone guiding you accordingly for both paragliding office and site. Rates are different for weekends and weekdays. The road for site is not in good condition. Decent place if you are novice and love some adventure

Paragliding as we all know is fun and fly nirvana (FN) lives upto its nameFN has the accommodation named as Native Place (NP)Ill start my review with the stay arrangements. All the courses have the stay as a part of package. They have managed to cultivate plethora of flora and fauna at NP. The nature lover in you would truly rejoice the stay.The credit of ambience goes to Mrs.Astrid Rao, she makes sure you are comfortable ,nourished well and atmosphere she has managed to create supplements the program well.Pre arrival communication was succinct and clear.Shoutout to Sunith Rao for going extra length to ensure great flying experience.The kitchen staff (Shyam, Sopan and Samir ) too are friendly and wake up at odd hours to prepare the food before you venture out for the flights.FN has good equipments with great instructors ( Ravi Shelar, Sandip, Bandya, Vinod, Pradip, Suraj and Amol )Special mention - Ravi and Sandip for taking personal interests and teaching ground + canopy handling skills.My last flight after 7 days of training ( no prior experience ) consisted of partly radio assisted flights involving 360 degree turns and what not. It lasted for 42 min.Surely going back for moreFor first timers points to consider- Pack yourself old full sleeve t-shirts or gym wear to avoid sunburn as all the running and climbing can wear out your clothes fast- Thick track pants to climb without chaffing your inner thighs and avoid landing related grazes- Ankle length shoes are a MUST- The sport requires certain level of stamina in order to enjoy it fully well. Ensure you can hike for at least 30 min ( upto 2 hours is ideal ). Full body resistance training with focus on legs and back should really help you

Excellent experience

Its a good school to learn Paragliding. Professional Instructors teach students from the fundamentals of a Glider to flying a Glider. Course includes both classroom learning and practical flying.On the first day students get to learn basics of Glider controls. Second day a single hop. 3rd day glide for about 5 - 15 minutes depending on the Site.Sites chosen for different levels of learning are good and free from obstructions. Accommodation and foos is ok.

I have been training with this club from 2008 to 2013 (Elementary and club pilot training). Sanjay and this team are absolutely the perfect instructors that one could ask for, for a recreational sport like paragliding. With the pioneers in paragliding training, no doubt their teaching skills are exceptional with key mantra of safety first.

The Nirvana team are the pioneers in Paragliding, not only in the region, but in the entire country. They recently celebrated two decades of successful operations as the safest paragliding school. I did my PG training with them several years ago and have been returning to fly with them every season.What makes me go back again and again...? First and foremost it is the attitude towards safety. Being from the defence, I can vouch that the commitment the team shows towards safety of their clients is as good as that of the flying branch of Armed Forces. I am grateful for the several times they stopped me from flying when the conditions were unsafe. Some other schools had nasty accidents at the same time.The next charm is the friendly and homely atmosphere that they have. Astounding beauty of nature. Peaceful. Swim in the lake. The ideal getaway. Home cooked food. Its a wonderful holiday even if you dont do paragliding!!

You dont believe but really it is an awesome place to visit. You will experience the best scenic views from top of hill. Definitely give a ride when you gone to this place. Really amazing place. U will see the world in a new perspective from this place. Fly like a bird if that is not possible watch those paragliders who are flying loke birds.

Awesome experience - I took the EP course, a friend came just to stay without paragliding, and we both loved it. The food was great, the facilities were clean, and there is something to do for everyone whether it is relaxing by the lake, trekking, or tandem flights. Would highly recommend The Native Place!

Me and my husband took EP course here. I must say this was the best experience of my life. We stayed in their native place guest house. This place is beautiful and they provide good home cooked food. But there will be no cell reception as its on a hill and internet is provided so no worries. At the beginning I was scared and wanted to quit, but the instructors and our dear host boosted my confidence and to my surprise by the end of EP course I was loving it. In safety wise they are so good. Instructors keep an eye on each and every detail security wise. I would love to go back there again and again. The lady in Mumbai Office needs training in handling customers. Once confirmed you are expected to get back to customer giving out details of loc. Particularly since mob is not working. I booked my flight through Thrillophilia and the lady was talking as if she is speaking to some 2nd class citizen. Hard work on ground is washed away by untrained Office staff in Mumbai.......
