All children should visit national was memorial museumKids can take some lessons from the Indian Army that will be helpful not only in terms of academics but for life. They can learn that when they are determined to achieve their goals, nothing is impossible. But, even when they excel in life, they should always remain humble and down-to-earth. They’ll also learn that having courage is an admirable quality and that challenges become easier to tackle when you face them bravely. These 15 facts will sow the seeds of respect and admiration for the Indian Army in your young children. And who knows, they might even aspire to serve the nation one day! Finally, a salute to our Indian Armed Forces for their service and the sacrifices they make for India and Her citizejesJay hind jay maharashtra 🇮🇳

Its always an awesome experience visiting this place. Feels like have a very strong bond with this place. Always fills with motivation and inspiration after visiting. Love to roam around the place remembering the hard sacrifices by our countrymen and also feels pride and honour thinking about their service to the nation. One thing that has changed here is the visiting fees earlier it used to be free to visit, but now they are charging amount of 20rs. But its worth is more than they are charging.Loves to stare the tricolour furling with pride along with flags of Indian army,Navy and Air force. If you are visiting this place atleast reserve your 2 hours of your life here and get dipped into a different world altogether watching awesome stuff and trying to understand different aspects regarding it.It is well maintained and beautifully structured. Moreover you can shop certain military related things and as well you can do shooting(I mean firing)And if you are a camera obsessed person then you will definitely get awesome clicks here(😜but choose your photographer partner wisely). This place is closed between 12 to 3 pm.And if time permits you can visit on Saturday as there is special function on Saturday. From my point of view everyone should visit this place in lifetime if you are from nearby. And Yeah remember to give your feedback in written as it boosts the morals of the people who are fighting and securing the borders of our nations for all of us.Jaihind 🔥🇮🇳

Its been about two years since I last visited the National War Memorial. Its an awesome place! Incredible replicas and some real battle tanks on display. It even boasts of a paintball gun alley and a hostage rescue simulation(paintball gun again) which you can play with your friends or colleagues. The food available in the canteen is good but can be better. In case you are not punctual or suffer discipline issues like I do, please visit this place and watch the men and women perform their duties on time. Always. There are some light shows and a movie show as well which happen on some days(not sure how much changes have been made due to Covid 19). Please call and check so that you dont miss anything and plan accordingly. Thanks!

Pune’s Southern Command Museum: A physical reminder of past wars.🌼 THE HISTORY OF NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL PUNEThe museum gives the history of the Southern Command since its formation and also a peek into the rich and glorious warrior history of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and the South (Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu) which form a part of the geographical expanse of the Southern Command’s area of responsibility.Among the other highlights, the National War Memorial includes the display of a MiG 23 BN, an army battle tank (from the Kargil War); a replica of the warship INS Trishul which was used during both the Portuguese-Indian war and the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971.🌼 WHAT TO EXPECT AT NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL PUNEThe museum tells the details of valour and sacrifice made by our soldiers of Southern Command in both the pre and post-Independence era.It is a must visit for the people in order to relive our rich traditions of war history and the great sacrifices made by the men in uniform for the cause of the nation. The National War Memorial is the only war memorial in South Asia that has been erected through citizens’ contribution with names of post-independence martyrs belonging to the tri-services hailing from Maharashtra inscribed on the marble.🌼 THE LATEST RENOVATIONInitially, due to the COVID-19 restrictions and later due to renovation work, the war memorial and the museum remained closed for several months. In its renovated avatar, eight Pillars of Valour, depicting major operations by the Indian Armed Forces since Independence, four murals depicting the bravery and valour in various battles and busts of Param Vir Chakra awardees have been added to the National War Memorial. In addition, replacement of tiling, widening of pathways and lighting along the perimeter was also carried out as part of the renovation.I highly recommend you to visit The National War Memorial and also shop something from their souvenirs collection as the proceeds from this goes to the Army Welfare Fund. They also hold a light-and-sound show at 6.45 pm on three days of the week.🌸 SanchitaReviews | 5/5🌸 Where: Prince Of Wales Road, Ghorpadi Lines, Near RSI, Pune🌸 When: 9:30am to 12:30 pm and 3 pm to 7 pm (Tuesday closed)🌸 Entry Fees | None🌸 Photography | Allowed🌸 Average Duration | 3-4 hours🌸 Parking | The National War Memorial has parking facility available🌸 Additional Facilities | paintball, gun range#SanchitaSairangKshatriya #Pune #NationalWarMemorial #SouthernCommand #SouthernCommandMuseum #indianarmy#incredibleindia
