Its a one time do thing.Hadapsar Gliding is managed by Indian Aviation department and the best thing is they charge only 187 per head. Usually they give tokens for first 20 people. People come very early so they get a chance. I came at 6am, got 2nd serial and get the chance to ride at around 12 noon. The only cons is you have to wait for around 6-7 hours .Things to avoid-1. Refrain using red and yellow colour2. Weight should be less than 85kg

Very good place for morning walk and evening walk. You can see a sunset and sunrise very clearly.

Except for waiting time, my overall experience was amazing. The place is run by DGCA and pilots volunteer on Sunday to give rides to the public. The charges are merely Rs.187 which needs to be paid online (only when asked for). It is recommended to come by 8:30 so that you end up in first 10 when office opens at 9:30.Payment gatway sucks hence it adds up to the delay. First flight starts at around 11:30 after detailed observations on weather, wind and other flying worthy conditions.

Awesome gliding experience

This gliding center is Indias oldest gliding center set up in 1950 and comes under ministry of civil aviation. It serves as a gliding training center for any aspirant. The center opens up for the normal public on Sundays to give them an experience of a gliding ride for just a paltry amount of around Rs. 200. Criterion for the public to take a ride is they need to be more than 12 years of age. On a single ride only one person can be accommodated alongside the gliding pilot. As it is open for all on Sundays people make a beeline from wee hours in the morning to register themselves for the ride taking into consideration that only 25 - 28 odd can get a chance. Being government owned means that rides start around 10 in the morning and continues till 5:30pm. Do Note: even on Sundays they may be closed if temperatures are high or if its raining or if wind conditions are not favorable. But if one really gets a chance for the ride then the experience is going to be out of the world kind and just Amazing!

Extremely ill managed. After waiting since 0650 hrs and being the second person to arrive there I wasnt able to get a booking done due to poor crowd management. There should be a system for advance booking or a token system on a first come first serve basis. Wasted my precious weekend.

Every one including shailendra sir and captain Eric is so humble and wants to promote flying...have to wait but worth it. U get airborne for 187 bucks what more u want

For Rs.187 u get to fly around in a gilder for a few minutes. Totally worth the money. :)
