This is one of the best live theatre in Pune city. The location is very much feasible as its in the middle of Tilak Road. They have parkings for 2 wheelers & 4 wheelers. The seating arrangement is good & has balcony arrangements as well. The sound system us very good. This is very good place for marathi plays, music concerts or school functions. They have washrooms for gents & ladies. Though the building is very old, it is standing tall & strong.Do visit once & enjoy the play.

The hall was in a pathetic condition. There was a pungent smell in the auditorium. Central AC was not working so they had window ACs that were not powerful enough. Please reach this place early if you are here for a comedy show as were, as there is no place for parking. We had to park our four wheeler at the road just at the back of Tilak Smarak Mandir.

Old but decent auditorium. Typical puneri management (read between the lines). AC is dead or works poorly. Small stage area. Limited parking. But being in the middle of the city has its perks. Photos of legends besides the stairs is a nice touch.

Nearest place to Sir Parshuram college in pune and specifically in Sadashiv Peth. Good place to visit. Many of the gatherings keep on taking place here. Well maintained and well precise infrastructure. The infrastructure has been named after the Bal Tilak a fierce freedom fighter.

Tilak Smarak Ranga Mandir is a theatre auditorium and exhibition hall located in Pune, India. The theatre is dedicated to the noted Indian nationalist and social reformer Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The auditorium has a series of murals, created by Gopal Deuskar, which showcase important events in the life of Tilak.

There have been many parking related queries... So here are few pix which I managed to take. The number of parkings are dependent on the management of space available... So all numbers are correct while they may be true all the time.Bottom line - Best to avoid 4 wheelers to city center even though there are few parking slots available.

The place is at central place. Good for performing arts. Ambience is not so great as compared to newly made theatres. There is always an opportunity to see some exhibition happening in the premises. Good for economical performing art watching. Nearby there are good joints to go and have dinner or lunch.

Its very old drama Theatre in heart of the city. We participated in many dramas and Im social gatherings since childhood. The place is clean. Sufficient parkiing. With basic cafeteria. But now they should change seats . Stage visibility is good even from sides. Sound system is good. There no lift to go to theater. So difficult for elders to climb up.

Very good theatre! Many famous plays are performed here. No A/C available but there are overhead and tower fans. Sound system is good! Seats are also comfortable. Overall a very well maintained theatre!

Outdated Auditorium. Needs a real Refurbish in all aspects. Old seats which have bad cushioning. Foul smell and stuffy. Worn out carpets does not solve the purpose anyhow. No intimation of foot steps and people might fall. Speaker and mic systems are irritating and no controls at all. 2 stars are for the presence of Auditorium in heart of the city.

Nothing great but nothing too bad too about this place. Numerous exhibitions of rather unique things are a frequent affair here. Ample parking space is available too. Theatre activities also do take place here, however the theatre is way too old and has bare minimum facilities.

Not bad for small functions. There is enough parking for maybe 30 to 40 cars, so plan accordingly. The area is pretty crowded being right in the city. The hall needs to be maintained a bit better by the management.

Here one can find some of the offices like मराठी विज्ञान परिषद, ज्योतिर्विध्या परिषद, मराठी नाट्य परिषद, Work for Tilak college is going on and most important thing is here you can find many programmes related to daily life at auditorium.Here you can also find paid parking for two & four wheelers as its very suitable for the people who have work on Tilak Road.

One of the oldest theatre in city. Located in city heart, but reaching to place can be tough task if you are visiting in peak hours. Okay and well maintained with old seating arrangements. Many of cultural activities take place over here.

The management is not good,but the overall cleanliness is good.The chairs were making noise and were uncomfortable. The carpet on the file was not properly set.The atmosphere was nice, the food is expensive as compared to the quality of food.

This is auditorium for drama to play here. Most of the time, it is occupied for seminar and meetings of political parties.Ample space for parking.Location is in heart of Pune City.Location is noticeable from main road.Seating arrangement is not good. Need some improvement.Group floor is used for exhibition.

Well modified & improvised theatre. AC was good. Sound could be improved. But Gents restroom require major improvement in maintenance. The smell makes it unpleasant even waiting at entrance.

Great place for small exhibitions. Smack in middle of city you get some spacious exhibitions which are usually held by people from outside. There is a parking space available for about 30 cars I suppose and bikes too.

We went to Tilak Smark Mandir on 2 consecutive days, Nov. 1st and 2nd, to enjoy Indian instrumental and vocal classical music performances.The acoustics are good. However, the legroom between the row of seats is tight. It is cumbersome to reach your assigned seats, especially when the seats prior to yours are already occupied.Seats dont recline.When the performance is good, these shortfalls are overlooked.

The theatre play was awesome but the location is just okay. This place is near SP college so easily reachable from Swargate, thats a plus.It is old and definitely needs maintenance.Seats are old, air-conditioning is just average (tower ac), parking is limited.

Place is quite big and well build. Locatiin is midlle in the town. Handicrafts exhibition and cultural program is main activity. And love location. As per around old structre of building i think this area is too old. And its taking its pride. I studied about Lokmanya tilak. And now i am visiting his press machine and all his things. Nice cultural heritage.

Restrooms, seats need to be renovated. Not exactly comfortable. ACs are retrofitted and the original system doesnt work. It gets extremely warm in the middle section since all ACs are on the sides.

Is decent good spacious well managed auditorium. But for some unknown reason the air-conditioning system has been partially closed for decades! It sucks. Though the ticket rates are like multiplexes who have chilling ac s.

I think this place needs to change chairs. That chairs too dirty and hall also was dirty. inner atmosphere is no so healthy for breathing.

Four stars only due to the quality of audience which was present for the show and the musical performance. The place is not very well maintained and there is quite some room for improvement in the infrastructure. Tisma is today known more for the frequent exhibitions of consumer goods than as a centre for culture and arts which was the original purpose.

Now poorly maintained. Inadequate air conditioning Dirty bathrooms with no soap etc. Just bearable. This place has us really past its best and no one cares!!!

An old memorial building with a performing art theatre.Located in central part of city and on main arterial road is an added advantage. However needs an immediate uplift to all its amenities and systems. An average auditorium all in all.
