If watching trains pass by gets you all nostalgic about your childhood and takes you back to good memories of traveling, then Chingari is the place .Located on the 8th floor of Hotel Sheraton Grand, its a rooftop restaurant that serves biryani, kebabs and Northern flavors.I enjoyed my drink just staring at the train station , good food , do try the kebabs, Awadhi murg biryani and dont miss the kulfi at the end.Service was good by Cinmay and other staff.The place has different seating area , since it was raining we sat in the covered area.A good place for family and also a date.Enjoyed a beautiful evening with family .

First ever restaurant we visited post COVID situation with family and we were happy with the arrangements. Polite and courteous staff.The food was really well prepared and was served beautifully. We tried all vegetarian options this time and loved the non-paneer starters for a change.Bar menu is very vast and one can get good options in non-alcoholic beverages as well.Great place to take your family, friends or colleagues here to enjoy elite class Awadhi cuisine. Just be careful about the cost, this place is not pocket friendly.

I was searching for a romantic place for valentines for candle light dinner when i came across Chingari. The valentines candle light dinner package seemed good to me and i was not disappointed on the day. They had a beautiful table setup with a customised center piece. We were served with delicious welcome mocktails. They had 6 starters and 6 main course and 2 desert menu. Taste of food was excellent and staff service and promptness was commendable. Some of the best dishes wer najuk ghosht ki seekh, lal mirch ka paneer, kesar phirni and malai kulfi with gulab jamun.In the main course we tried butter chicken. It was not the best but still good enough. I would definitely recommend this place to any couples looking for a romantic evening..

Loved the ambience, Food , service . Overall it was a great experience. We had chicken malai Tikka, It was tender, soft, rightly cooked to give you the authentic flavour of malai Tikka. Also had chicken dum biryani , It was also nice.2nd visit :I went with my In-laws for the celebration of birthday and we had few dishes like malai kofta, butter paneer. The experience was nice and food was awesome. The hospitality was top class. We had A-mazing pan and sweets there. The manager at Chingari, Aranya was very kind and offered us some complimentary sweets also.

Its just the best... wonderful ambiance plus the delicious food...you only wish the evening had more hours...plus the impeccable service by the staffthe manager is such a gentlemen I should add. 😃

I visited Chingari for the famous Kashmiri Food Festival and it was a wonderful experience!The food was scrumptious and reminded me of the rich Kashmiri flavours.For starters, I had the Chicken Kante and The Kashmiri seekh Kebab.The chicken Kante was super delicious. In fact even though it is a starter, it can be had with Naan.The Kashmiri seekh kebab is my all time favourite and one cannot do wrong with this one. It was extremely juicy and flavourful. Highly recommend these starters.I also has the Paneer Kante- The taste was similar to the Chicken Kante. The paneer was very soft melted in the mouth. Very flavorful and a must have for vegetarians.For the mains there were a variety of dishes-Mutton Mirchi KormaMutton Kismat KormaRogan JoshPalak RistaMutton GushtabaI had all these gravies along with Butter Naan and Kulchas. It tasted really good. The gravies were very rich and delicious. It gave a typical Kashmiri flavour. Each dish was unique in its own sense.My Personal favourite was the Mutton Gushtaba. This gravy was made in Yoghurt and was extremely flavourful.They also had DIY paan. Like the name suggests you could make your own Paan with your choice ofIt was a great experience tasting Kashmiri food.Naturals has always been my favourite when it comes to ice creams. They always have fresh stock and they never disappoint.I love their variety of flavours.All the ice creams are creamy and absolutely delicious.They keep introducing new flavours and they never fail to impress.The seating arrangement is good and they also have parking space.Friendly staff and super quick service.Loved it!Chingari is a roof-top restaurant with a good ambience. Terrace restaurant with very beautiful ambience and pool view with great food and service too

The ambience is really top notch. A small and romantic place for date dining. Being on the terrace it offers good views along with the pool side.The food was again really good. Do try the ming dal tikki and lamb biriyani.

Its a lovely place to hang out with your loved ones, or romantic dinner kind of along pool side with cool breeze passing by. Ambience is perfect to chit chat and grab few bites. The staff is polite and pleasant greeting at every place, helping you out. Ms. Mudra played a role of perfect host and took care of us through out our dine. Bit disappointed with number of dishes available for Vegetarian. Food taste is good... not exceptional though.

Make it a point to visit Chingari every time I am in Pune. It is one of the best places for an excellent roof top dining experience.

Amazing ambiance! The moment you enter the rooftop, you are hit with breeze which has a hint of charcoal to it. It gave me the cozy, being at home, relaxing feeling!There was live music playing, so, that added to the magic!The food quantity is more than enough. We ordered 3 starters, 2 chicken and a lamb. But I must say, that quantity was so much that we doubted our decision of having placed the main course order. BTW, we were 4 people who had been here.The kababs are fantastic! Smoking hot, straight from the charcoal oven! Also, the wait time is less. I though that they may take a while to prepare the items that we had ordered, but we were able to enjoy them quickly!For main course, we had ordered a Chicken Curry and a Prawns Curry. I loved the Prawns! They were fresh and huge!! Just freaking awesome! Again, just enough quantity, that we were not able to finish it all off. Needless to say, even though we wanted to try the biryani, we had to pass on that.We had ordered the Kulcha, and they do ask you the stuffings that you want in it. We ordered a mix of Cheese and Onion.We ordered Kulfi, and they sort of missed the point here. We had ordered Pista Kulfi, but they got the Malai Kulfi. Also, didnt kill our mood, but, I really wanted to taste the Pista Kulfi.Another point being, since Ive been to other restaurants in Sheraton Grand, they are very attentive to your needs. But, people at Chingari forgot to give us the dessert spoon along with the dessert. So, had to use those large spoons to eat dessert. Again, a minor thing to note, but, again, it does not happen at other Sheraton Grand restaurants. Which is why I give a star less. Otherwise, you guys are awesome!

Mushroom curry was good but non-veg was not at all good. Dont know how its chef special and that too from a Padmasree awardees recipe. Overall not a good experience for the price were paying. Good enough ambience though

Not sure whose mistake it was. I booked it through Easydiner a day ago and was not allowed to enter the premises. After a lot of arguements and a waiting of 2 hours, I went to this place and to my surprise I was given a table right next to the bar where I was unattended because I didnt make an advanced payment to them. If you ask me about my experience, please do not go to this place, I felt insulted.

We had the Chingari experience for the first time at Grand Sheraton Pune thanks to the recommendations of Sharad & Manish. No regrets. Wonderful experience in the open air place right at the top of the hotel and to top it excellent cocktails and snacks. Thanks to Janardhan, Prasad & Dhyani.

The food and ambience are no less than a Michelin Star restaurant. Chef Quereshi has magic in his hands and serves amazing lip smacking food. Definitely a must visit!

Restaurant is on top floor so view from top is really good.But I am little bit disappoint with the food taste and quantity of food.Quantity was too less when it compared to price they are charging. Romali roti and Tanduri roti was not upto the mark.I have ordered Chicken Choosa and sabji was very sweet. I have clearly informed them that sabji should not be spicy or sweet.Overall if you are fine to pay good amount of money just to try luxury dining then you can visit else I would suggest you try somewhere else.

Pathetic service and pathetic food quality. Ordered angoor malai as desert. Couldnt even eat single spoon. Main course was delivered so slow that the guests lost the interest in food. Dont expect such service from a 5 star hotel.

Absolutely fantastic experience in February.. Miss the live fire they had here many years ago (10+). Perhaps the fire was in winter season only. Food and service is excellent. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

The worst management I have seen in all the five star hotels I have visited. Just because an occasion was going on at a level below the restaurant in the hotel, nobody had a clue how to handle the situation. The hotel parking crew was clueless and missing. The valet was nowhere to be seen, and the managers had only one answer: we are sorry sir. There were no parking spots for anyone after 8pm and they claim to be a prime location! My familys mood went sour the instant we stepped in this place. I will give them one thing. Their food was edible, not great. This place is nothing what they claim and the management is horrendous.

We reached restaurant yesterday at 830 pm and the only 2 tables available were very near the music and since we wanted a table slightly away from the loud music being played, we requested for the table location to be placed slightly towards the left where there was ample space. While the other bearers agreed, the main person in charge was extremely arrogant and refused to do that despite our requesting him 3 times and explaining the reason. At the other end he said it would be conjusted, so we made a request to change to a space which was empty, but he was extremely rude in even refusing. Didnt expect this from such a reputed food chain.

WE HAD A PLASTIC PIECE IN THE ICE CREAM. Watch out while eating at Sheraton Pune at the Chingari restaurant. Worst experience in a four star hotel. This hotel should be heavily penalized for their such low food quality standards. Marriot should make sure their brand is not affected and maintain the same food standards outside USA. The ambience is so dark that it is impossible to read the menu. You dont know how does the ordered food look like before eating.

Its an Indian food restaurant in Sheraton.Pros: very good ambience asking the pool, classical Indian music in the background. Friendly staff, good service. Elaborate menu with a variety of Indian food choices.Cons: Food! The one thing that they did not get right is the food. It was way below the standards for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. We tried both veg and not veg food, some suggested by the server and some of our choice - but all dishes very consistently average.

Seems like they charge whatever they want from the customers. Who would like to pay INR 150 for one Bisleri water bottle, just because one is dining in a 5-star? Is it cost of bringing that bottle to the table which is available in the market for 20 bucks? + 18%taxes. Unreasonable prices with average taste of food, average ambience, 50% of the drinks from menu not available at the bar. Will not be visiting again and cant recommend to anyone else.

Amidst heavy rains in Pune today, me and my wife were searching for the nearest place to save ourselves and we found this gem of a restaurant nestled on the rooftop of the Sheraton Grand Hotel. Situated on the roof top in the Sheraton Grand...this place is truly romantic just besides the swimming pool with the cool breeze brushing your face n having the best Company to enjoy the evening.

Amazing food. Jamune nazakat was an amazing end to a wonderful dinner. The hospitality was amazing there. Special thanks to Pratik for being polite and prompt in serving us.

Time taken to serve is too much. Ambience is good. Biryani was good. Peneer kabab we ordered was okay. Dal chingari was good. Charged 150rs/ltr for water bottle, that seemed unfair.

This was my first visit to Chingari owing to my Anniversary celebration. I loved the rooftop atmosphere and the food was good except the Zaitooni Jhingawhich was under seasoned.

Terrible place. I visited purely after reading the reviews. And its far from being a romantic place with tasty food as most people have written. The truth is that its a make shift restaurant, with uncomfortable table and chairs put together around the pool. The food was badly made and tasteless. You have a railway track for view and the place is dark and shady. The hotel itself feels old and outdated.

Nestled on the 10th floor of Sheraton hotel in Pune, Chingari serves authentic Punjabi food. Peaceful ambiance with the serene sound of water falling into the pool. Lamp lit tables creating a romantic and mellow atmosphere. The icing on the cake is the courteous attentive staff and of course the lip smacking food. The famous dal Chingari true to its name lights up the taste buds with its smooth and creamy flavour without being too heavy on the stomach. Must visit. Must sample fare for all foodies.

Oil in biryani was soooo much that it was.floating on the plate.. and chicken tandoori Tikka was also not heavenly tasty or just tasty.. it was like unchi dukan feeki pakwan kind..
