My dad used to come here during his college days, I have been too during my college days, now I take my daughter too at times. Food is that simple and good...just like home. All the serving mamas are so good at their work.

80yrs Old Snack Joint on Tilak Road which serves good food....They have Maharashtrian Thali system and Lodging Boarding Facility too!Thalipeeth here was a little turnoff as it had Wheat Flour instead of Pure Bhajani Flour...Rest all food items were classic!

This place is pure old Pune style Khanaval (food court) prices are pocket friendly, style in olden days look inside a Wada, pure feeling of a Puneri old home, wooden table with chairs, Thali with Vati (plates with steel bowl), everything is good. Food is also awesome.

Arrogant Staff, below average food quality, some of the food items are literally tasteless, they serve you as if they are doing some favour to you. I have a lot of childhood memories of this place. Earlier I never used to like thali system because i hardly could finish the thali . My baba used to love badshahis thali and their tasty food. It is authentic Maharasthrian thali with daily changing menu.I visited this place after a very long time. I thought things might have changed but trust me everything is just the same. and i am saying that in a good way. Just there is one thing missing and that is the big pickle jars kept in the taavdan of every room. As soon as i entered the premises i had a major nostalgic moment and a trip down the memory lane. The sitting arrangements, rooms, interior everything is still the same and i loved it. most of all the food is as yummy as it was 10 years back. The bobby (only a few people will understand this), mattha, matarachi usal, and masale bhat made me remember my childhood days and my baba, he would have loved seeing me finish the whole thali nicely.Thanks a lot kaka for keeping this place as it is and maintaining the quality of food.I will definitely visit soon.

One of oldest and best dining hall in Pune. Food is too good. On Sunday morning and Thursday evening you can enjoy special menu. But in my opinion regular menu is better than special menu.

Bit costly, but food quality is good. And the ambient is like you will feel as if you are in 80s.

Comfort food as affordable rate. The vibe is so homely and the service is really fast. The food here has always been delicious. If you love simple Maharashtrian food, youll love this place. Its pretty small and in a corner so parking is a little issue. Plus, theres a line here sometimes so if youre heading for lunch its advisable to go a little early.

This eatery is the flag bearer for authentic Puneri food. Ever since I chanced upon this place in the year 2004, it has been my favourite. The ambience exudes an old world charm, which is supplemented by the old songs played on the radio. The best item in the plate is the amti, a curry which you can sip like a soup and then pour the residue over the rice. It is unique because no other eatery makes it like they do. Other items are also delicious.
