The place is a gem in white town. Rooms are big and clean, same is with bathroom. Very close to promenade beach. Staff is very courteous.Big shoutout to Villa Krish.In+house Restaurants food is very costly so better avoid it.

The property is okay. Rooms are not worth more than 2500Rs per day. But the staffs are absolutely bad. They dont give you proper response. The guy whom we met upon arrival acted like we are in the wrong place. Swimming pool was worst. Not sure when they refill the water. It had cigar butts, plastic covers and beach sand all over. Overall bad experience.

Booked the hotel on booking.com. The hotel is congested and suffocated. The exhaust fan makes whole lot of noise. No buckets provided. Soap dispenser was over before we checked in to the room and the staff was least bothered. They have a restaurant and also provided the room service no, however it was useless as they refused to provide tea and roti. On requesting too much, the roti that they provided was ill prepared. Not recommended. Even after having a functional restaurant, they sent us to their sister hotel for breakfast, which was very uncomfortable. If this is what you get after paying money, its better to sleep on the beach, atleast you will get natural fresh air and nothing for free.

I booked this room with great expectations but I was completely disappointed.The only good thing in this stay is spacious rooms and location is the heart of white town.They provided us an early check in and charged for that which is okay. But the reception person was continuously calling us to pay immediately even after we said we will come in 5 mins as we need to go out.This room has TV but no signal.Bathroom with a light and a hair dryer but does not work properly.A fan and a toilet making continuous noise which disrupted our sleep big time.A cozy chair to sit which was broken.Disappointed.

The place was below average. Most of the rooms have no windows, huge parking issues if you are in your own cab or driving on your own, most of the staff except one or two are not polite, you will need to go to their sister hotel for breakfast, the breakfast spread is below average, extremely slow service, post 9 pm only one person for the whole place plus they dont even clean your room the whole day. I stayed in 303 and it was below average. Avoid if you can.

I went to the restaurant on the top floor of the building. Reached the cramped place after climbing a flight of stairs from the third floor. The food was OK, served by a solitary person who also handled billing.

If I should define my experience in one word about our stay in “Villa Krish” it would be APPALLING.We had requested for an early check in during the time of our booking itself which was roughly a month before the actual date, when arrived we were denied the same and ended up waiting in the lobby where nobody was present for at least half hour, and truth be told most of the times the reception would be found empty with none available for any sort of enquiry. Later on we did get a room and before going into the room we did check with the manager/receptionist who handed over our keys whether the room was cleaned for which he said YES but when we entered the room it was terrible, dust all over the furniture, hairs all over the floor, water and hairs all over the washroom which was disgusting (shared pics), we had to call the receptionist again to request for room service when we did ask him beforehand itself, after a tiring train journey and waiting period in the lobby we had to wait standing outside the room for it to be cleaned.The rooms had all sorts of flaws, we had booked a Deluxe room with Balcony via Agoda on a great deal which seemed to bother the manager of the place as he enquired the details as to how did we get such a price and God was that a mistake, because the balcony had no privacy whatsoever, we were standing and talking in our balcony and all of a sudden saw someone entering and standing beside as the balcony of our room was an extension of the general corridor which was separated by just a small wooden gate which was total disappointment that we ended up not using the balcony, coming to the room the walls were cracked, the lights were not working, the kettle was not working and broken which was replaced twice on our request, not all the sockets were working, the AC was not good but the most worst out of all this was that the latch of the washroom was faulty and also the water was leaking from the bidet and was getting accumulated on the floor, we had to latch the door from outside when we were using our washroom. The place is located at a good location but it is not worth the hype that it receives as there are multiple good places to stay at white town, the only good thing that we were pleased about was the café next to it called “Johns Café”. The hospitality is horrible and we did visit the restaurant, the food was very average. On a whole I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone. Located at the prime of Pondy is the only advantage of staying here. During my stay, I experienced the worst ever hospitality and almost no proper response for any services. The room had so many flaws such as broken furnitures, heater mug, faulty electric lights/dryers in bathroom. Since it was a weekend, we were not offered an alternative option too.I was charged an extra amount of money for requesting an early check-in, which was collected by multiple phone calls from the staff in the reception as soon as I checked in. They didnt even give 5 minutes to settle and keep luggages in the room. The repeated phone calls clearly said about their hospitality.

Location is super convenient. Right in the heart of white town. All the good cafes, rock beach etc are walking distance from the hotel.Condition of rooms is not that great, specially for the cheaper ones.Roof top restaurant is a good place to relax in the evening.Staff is well mannered.

I didnt stay here. Came for lunch. They scammed me by selling a Virgin Mojito for 250 Rs. Also, the Biriyani was awful.

Unassuming place, not frequented by tourists and the food is delicious. The rooftop is lovely on a cool breezy evening, the music is contemporary pop. Not very crowded and therefore I felt safe sitting here and eating.Prices are a little high, but nothing else to complain about really.

You have nice people running the place but do have more. The rooms are well kept but unfortunately the infrastructure makes it little congested and suffocating. The restaurant upstairs is a plus for getting quick food but not suggested for the perfect dinner.

The rooms are very good with good furnitures and decor with all mentioned facilities. The ambiance is plesant and from its rooftop restaurant one cam get awesome view of beach.. As per our request, they had also provided roadside car parking facility too.. A good place to stay in.

We booked this place on bookings.com . The property is in the heart of the city.Room was good ( I cant say great as room was bit expensive and t was a small room and there is no beautiful view or anything from the room). Breakfast is being served but you will have to pay 300 rs per head for breakfast.Tgey gave a roof top restaurant. Ambience is not so great but the place is quiet and peaceful..And food will come upto 1500 for 2 people including alcohol.

We recently stayed at this hotel during our trip to Pondicherry. The reception person of this hotel is not at all friendly. There is no parking near the hotel, we had to park it at least 300m away from the hotel. The person at the reception dint help at all to guide us for the parking. The hotel is located at a very good location.

The location was best and all the tourist spots were in reach.The staff was helpful and could also arrange for city citings at reasonable prices

The hotel didnt stand up to its 3 star claim. Rooms are not proper ventilated and the lighting in the room was really poor. The manager was not courteous and made us feel unwelcomed. It can be an adhoc place to stay but dont prefer it if you are looking for a pleasant and warm place to spend your holidays

Got attracted by pictures, positive reviews and customer feedback.. booked for a night with a possible extension of one more night .. guess what ? I vacated the place within a hour of checking in.Though I booked their premier room with balcony facing the road , facilities and cleanliness were beyond unworthy.Room reeked of damp mould, a strong stench of toilet odour, left over whiskey bottles, unclean floors and upholstery !!Despite of the claim, the property is a heritage villa, nothing sort of reflected heritage apart from the place where the hotel is actually situated. The property seemed to be opened up after lockdown .. I wonder how it was before!!Booked through Agoda, posting a review there as well.Ps . The manager assured me of some kinda feedback and response regarding cancellation or refund policy.. neither called nor texted up to date

Those giving high rating of this lodge, think again...please dont misguide others. My 3 days 2 night stay review -Only good thing about this place is its location in white town. Its probably the smallest/cramped hotel we ever stayed (didnt realized by the good ratings in Agoda & here).Average guest service or rather absent, from a tourist place like this. No smile, no proactive ness, no warmth in their attitude. Small rooms against what the price they charging. Surroundings not kept clean, we can see dirty used plates left around corridor for more than a day.Though the hotel was informed the time of our arrival few hours back on the day, room was not kept ready. Rather insisting we having our lunch at their restaurant while they prepare our room. We rejected and demanded the room immediately as this was way after their check-in time. Then found Manager dont know or ignored we had booked extra bed. Great proactiveness and service!!Then we tried their restaurant as some good review comment given by the people. Its a small 10 people roof top place, with extremely limited food options, rather looked like a Snack & Bar joint. Items priced up, while tastes quite poor. Waste of money!! Had to order food from Zomato.Then comes breakfast. Not even told, rather had to ask, where is the breakfast place. For that we have to walk down to their another nearby property and options there idly/Vada/bread/frozen snacks/egg and it exactly repeated for the 2 days we stayed there.Already realized made a big mistake to book this property and Agoda/google failing me to choose this, by showing high rating. Avoid!! Its a lodge.Advice to Hotel to change or train their front end staff/Manager.Much better options available around as we found out. Also realized white town have become quite dirty and commercialized, with open defection around. Better to choose professionally managed star hotels and avoid these Heritage hotels unless they get their acts right to understand someday people will reject their location advantage and chose comfort, cleanliness and guest service.

This is a cozy little place in the White Town area of Pondy.The staff are generally very friendly, usually an establishment such as this would be friendly to westerners, but here I did not see that discrimination.The price might seem a bit high for people.They have a restaurant in their rooftop which serves continental food, but it was a bit on the expensive side.But food was good.They do not have parking space, which was a let down and people who go to the beach leave their vehicles in the streets nearby.The breakfast they served was really good, kudos to the person taking care of the restaurant. Service there was impeccable.The breakfast spread was good.The only letdown with this place was the lack of natural light within the rooms.

Food was good, a bit overpriced. Ambience of the rooftop restaurant was also good, but not suitable for a big group. The saddest part was adding non served foods to the bill, jus cos they thought we wont check the bill. An amount to the tune of 1380 was added to our bill for the food we didnt order. The attitude of the person when we asked to change the bill was pathetic. He didnt like when we questioned it. The 5% service charge is optional, but its added without even asking the customer. Overall the experience is moderate. We dont think we would like to visit the place again! Sorry Villa Krish!!!!

Great place to dine out soaking in the Puducherry evenings right on the roof top. You need to enter the Villa Krish reception and take the lift on the right, go till 3td floor and then walk one floor up to reach the spot. While we were at it - the sea breeze stole the show. Coming to the ambience - its romantic, airy and cozy. Staff is courteous and is eager to help. Food is tasty and the portions were quite good on the main courses. We tried the prawn gravy with white rice - fresh prawns with a tasty gravy and cottage cheese along with rice and veggies - which was well done. Cottage cheese was very soft and flavorful. This place allows smoking. Do give them a try.

Pros: Great location. Clean room. Bottles of water provided everyday. Nonstop use of hot water (which happens to be a rare case in India), Kind staffs, Rooftop.Cons:Breakfast... When I picked up a croissant, I found out that it was being eaten by a group of ants.Poor wifi... It was unable to connect to wifi and mobile network in the room. It was only available just before the door so I and my wife spent many times sitting in front of the door. Poor bed, though it was nice and comfy.

We got stuck in the rain so ended up visiting this place for lunch while we wait for the rains to subside.The staff refused to let us sit on the rooftop stating they dont serve during rains. But there was a couple already occupying a table and 30mins later we found a group of 6 seated outside as well.We had no choice but to sit inside. Ordered for mutton curry, fish curry, parota and pasta.The drinks arrived much before the main course.The mutton curry was slightly undercooked, but the staff refused to accept the feedback. She informed us that this is how its cooked and theres no way its undercooked cause she regularly eats it too and doesnt face such issues. Great!!!!Rest of my family finished the main course and waited for the bill, while I still waited for my pasta.She had forgotten to place an order for the pasta and thus we had to wait for a good 30mins to be served that.Overall left the place with a terrible experience and wouldnt recommend anyone to visit unless you wish to waste your money.

Hi guys, I visited Villa krish at kottakuppam, pondicherry. Had a good time with friends, the property is well maintained, its next to serenity beach, experienced sunrise. its awesome, hosts are very friendly and supportive and the place is very secured. good place to spend time with family. hope I visit once again.

This hotel has an antique feel... Rooms, though small , are neat and well maintained.. Service was quite good. This place is very near to the Rock beach..Rooftop restaurant and bar is another added feature.. I stayed at this hotel during off season and thoroughly enjoyed the unique ambience without any crowd nearby .Off course , there is no parking area here and you have to park your vehicle out side, in the street ..

Villa krish, I would truly recommend Villa Krish in covid days and after that as well. Its very much centrally located, surrounded by all good cafes & restaurants and also ATM, Chai and coffee shops. The rock beach is just a walk away, infact I felt everything (temples, church, shopping, ashram) is like walk away 1-2kms. Beautiful French colony view and open terrace restaurant and off course delicious food too. Its a nice buzzing street.As its covid times its important to know that the hotel was very clean and hygienic. There are lean staff but they are very helpful and polite. Especially the person call Mani at the restaurant was very kind and patience. Lift isnt operating due to covid, but its fine you to climb 3 floors for terrace and the beautiful beach view.I have posted few photos hope its helps 😊Happy traveling!

Mixed veg curry had half a feastful, very finely-cut vegetables, and you laterally need a net to find those veg fragments. other two french dishes were ok. finally they gave us a hand-written money receipt (a bil without any number or details) and claimed GST. Upon my query, they finally gave me a printed bill. the service guy was very good.

We happened to be at the Villa Krish on 31st Dec night. Food was nice but pricey. We happened to be on the rooftop, so enjoyed the ambience. Overall a cool place.

The place has a roof top bar and restaurant. It not air conditioned but is nicely ventilated. The food is delicious. We tried a Dal Chawal and a bay fresh prawns dish. Their mashed potato was so heavenly that we asked for a second serving of it. The service was on point and we left with happy stomachs.

I really enjoyed our family vacation at this brand new Villa. The rooms are contemporary, neat and clean. Very cosy. Breakfast in two variants -South Indian and continental are sumptuous. Ala Carte dining is also good and competes with many eateries around the Whitetown. Service and support by staff and management is very timely and helpful. A great location with easy access to the happening places in Pondicherry. Best wishes to all😍👏

The Hotel is located in extremely prime location, writhin the heart of White Town, with all the cafe’s, restaurants, tourist destinations and services at a walking distance. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and homely. Please don’t go for the breakfast option and a room without balcony at the hotel as you can have way better breakfast around this area at some cafe and the balcony ain’t worth paying for. The hospitality is at par with some 5 star hotel. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant which is very petite but the views are amazing. The reception would arrange all the services you want in no time, be it a vehicle on rent, a spa service or walking tours. The breakfast is disappointing, but rest all it’s value for money in all sense and beautiful.

Location is the best part ..Do not expect the rooms and amenities to be like modern hotel type .. but they are well managed (looks neat and tidy) .Its a quite and cozy place. Terrace kitchen and bar is again not a very decorated one but instead like a House terrace with some seating arrangements .. I personally did not like the breakfast buffet much ..rest depends on ones choice..

Luxurious and convenient rooms,The breakfast buffet is served at a good looking restaurant. It had south indian as well as a continental spread. It had good varieties, Idli, Vada, French Toast, muffins, croissants, donuts, dry cakes, eggs can be ordered and they had a counter and more. I stayed with my family at Villa Krish in June 2018. The General Manager Mr. Shakthi made sure the front office personnel gave us directions to reach the hotel without hassles. The front office staff (Lenin, Bala, Nandini) were all extremely courteous with smile on their faces. The roof top Bar cum Restaurant with Sea View is enchanting. Chef Durai and his team (Ayappan, Satya and Nithiya) make this Restro Bar a hot spot, especially with Steaks, Pasta and French Salads. Promenade Beach is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.The hotel has acquired another property nearby which was being renovated under personal supervision of GM Mr. Shakti. Personally, we had an enjoyable stay at the hotel which gave us the feeling of that long earned vacation we all crave for!

Loved this place, i dont know what hotel room, i went to resto on roof top. Food is so good if u r willing to go here sit on open tables or free top if its not vacant wait for it. Dont go in to closed room. Best place for a couple to have candle light dinner. Wine is served with menu. If u r willing to have a decent dinner in French colony try this

A three minuteswalk from the beach. Very good rooms with modern facilities. Staff is incredibly friendly and proactive. When I was checking out, I had forgotten my charger there. The hotel staff couriered the charger the same day to Hyderabad with no hassle. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Shakti, Lenin, Bharathi, Ayyappa, sorry forgetting the name of the girl at the reception, all of them are very helpful. That helped us having a worry-free vacation. Thank you guys.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the room was good a neat. Infact for the price that this property offers the rooms, it was great.Staff at the reception is good. Restaurant staff is polite and good too. Breakfast options are very limited though. I think they can expand the menu and charge something extra for it.It is located in the main area of White Town, the famous tourist area of Pondicherry. And beach is within a walkable distance of 6 mins. How cool can that be? Right?We loved every bit of it here.

The cons i found here is no parking available except on the roads around. And they dont change or provide toiletries properly. But otherwise if you want to stay within white town with walking distance to the rock beach, this is a good place.

First time I have gone to eat on their roof top resto.It was night, the orders were NOT taken properly & NOT supplied on time.Even the restaurant worker NOT given us enough time to drink & to eat the ordered foods.He asked us to get out from the dining room table indecently.We have the receipt ... He completely spoiled my dinner & weekend good mood.I do not recommend this restaurant for others.

If you are visiting Pondicherry, make sure you book your rooms here.... And I mean it...Villa Krish is a the center of where you want to be... A stones throw away from Cafe des arts and a stones kick away from Rock beach (iconic Gandhi statue and all).They have the most cheerful and courteous staff who always smile as you walk past them.They have a roof top bar and cafe where you can sit and relax the evening air.In the evening you can walk down to the beach and the handicrafts mela...This is about 500m from the famous Promenade where you have food galoreWalk back to work off the extra calories.And this is when you get to the best part of Villa Krish.You open the door to a serviced room... Everything clean and after all the walking and roaming... You get to sleep on one of the best beds I have ever come across. Believe you me... Once you are tucked into the covers your body just oozes into the ultimately soft bed and cradles you like a baby until you realize your alarm going off telling you to get up for a complimentary breakfast where everything is served hot to order.What can I say.... Pondicherry was amazing and a major part of that was this Villa...

Go there when the sun is still out for breakfast or lunch as this place has amazing view which you might miss in the darkness of night .Food is simple,fresh and bursting with just what you would enjoy on a warm afternoon.the rooftoop with cool breeze blowing , a view of the sea and the dome of the Domas church next to you is so picturesque that it feels out of the world.Staff is polite but seemed to be a lil under pressure to impress.they did their job well nonetheless.1000 -1200 inr for two sans alchohol.Great experience.

Its a great place with great style. Perfect for family and couples. The room we got was small, but sufficient. Very clean and service is great. Prompt service by staff. Bathrooms are well kept and clean with modern facilities. Roof top restaurant was nice from top you get a view of white town and promenade beach. Though the restaurant offer good food, only suggestion would be to add some variety into the menu. The breakfast was complimentary which included toast with jam or butter, cereal, museli, omelette, fruit juice, idly, uttapam, here variety was offered. For parking there is no space other than the front road of reasturant. Overall I would give thumbs for the place..

We spent four days and three nights in this lovely hotel. Everything about the experience was amazing. Of course, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The decor was aesthetic. The location is fantastic.But the star of the show for us was the breakfast experience. Sucks big time... Slower than snail...!every table was complaining, folks also left mid-way. Come here only if you have ridiculous amount of free time. The service is slow, a snail would be faster, the waiters dont care, they dont note down your order and promptly forget them. They dont have enough training; cutlery, plates & napkin come after food, that too you have to ask for it. Food was ok, but the quality of service spoiled everything. I want the last 3 hours of my life back, I am so bored that I am typing as I wait for the food. Give it a miss, lots of good options nearby, everyone in the restaurant was complaining. This one is not worth the money and time at all.Its a place with good location and ambiance but will not survive with this service quality.

Situated in heart of white town. location is good . they have space for compact car parking. rooms are clean and good.lunch breakfast area is rooftop which is good.breakfast is ordinary.service is very good

It is a good place. The location is really good, so is the food. The rooms are a bit small however the service makes up for it. All in all a good place if you are looking for a short trip.

Loved the food & ambience. Its a small place and we came here after we didnt get a place in Villa Shanti.We had calamari frits, shrimp cocktail, grilled snapper & grilled prawns. Both quality & quantity very good.View of the sea is sure to lift your mood.

Awesome place and awesome location. Just 5 mim walk from rock beach. Villa is very beautiful. Staff is helping and rooms are very clean. But they have very limited tie ups so avoid to book this property with third party travel portal, make booking directly to there website.
