I can never be more satisfied by staying at any accommodation other than Sunway Manor. It was a pleasant experience. The staff were good and prompt. The rooms were great and comfortable.At the pinnacle of this was the food. We opted for breakfast buffet and it had some really delicious dishes on the menu. It was worth the money with plethora of options one can have.To add to it, we also had ordered dishes from In-dining menu for lunch and dinner. The food was ethereal. I couldnt find any item that we ordered was not delicious. It was simply the best food that I have eaten in years.I would definitely prefer to stay at Sunway Manor on my next visit.

First of all we had made booking for double occupancy and I had chosen that option while booking but still we were provided with rooms consisting of single bed, upon insisting they just joined the beds but did not allot different room to us.The rooms were smelling of cigarette smoke, the bathroom was really small.The sheets and pillows were dirty.The food was okay okay and not at all satisfactory. The cost of buffet was way expensive than it deserved.The rooms were also not spacious enough.The only good thing was the swimming pool.Apart from that the stay was not good and we are not satisfied with it.Would not recommend if you are really serious about hygiene, taste.The images of rooms given to us did not match the images posted in the booking website.Overall not a pleasant stay.

We had booked 2 rooms over a week ago. Had chosen double bed occupancy and while checking in had requested to allocate rooms in higher floors and prefer non-smoking rooms. The response we received was all rooms are smoking ones except the ones on the ground floor. If you are allergic to smoking smell then this hotel is not for you. Fast-forwarding to our room one of the rooms had single beds and the other room had 2 single beds joined together. They gave us a different room where they had joined the single beds together. Both the rooms were dusty and had fine dust. You move the curtains and youd cough your lungs out. Bathrooms had leaky taps with excessive salt accumulated in the showerheads. One of the Mirror lights wasnt working. The washbasin tap was dangling. The hooks behind the bathroom door were loose and useless. The hairdryer required 3 hands to operate as the socket was loose and were not having good contact. There was no ventilation in the bathroom not sure if the ducts were working. Coming back to the beds the mattress was uncomfortable since they were 2 single ones we had to sleep on 2 separate sides. The linens and pillow covers were also dirty and didnt look hygienic at all. We had to change them the next day and they looked much better. We have to call the reception & ask them for the complimentary water bottles too. When you check out you get only 1 bottle and an additional water bottle cost us 60 bucks. Hardly 3 people knew English & were getting a little difficult to communicate. The Buffet Breakfast & Lunch was ok. The pasta was horrible, the dessert section was equally disappointing. Almost everything we ate lacked salt in it from the omelets to the other dishes. Lunch cost us 800+ taxes and I felt it was very expensive for the limited items and was not worth it. The swimming pool was good and is restricted to 8:30 pm. Not one soul in the entire hotel updated us on the covid restrictions and that after 10 pm you wont get any food outside. Not even Swiggy or Zomato works after 10 pm. For the services we received, we felt this hotel was overpriced and not worth visiting. In spite of requesting on our 2nd day to change our rooms and the discomfort we were facing while sleeping, they did not even bother to even update us that it is not possible. Had to remind them to send a dental kit too as that was also missing. Valet guys take forever to find the key in the cupboard with a torchlight from their smartphones. Things we liked were The Swimming Pool & Hot Water in the bathrooms. Overall disappointment and loss of 15k for 2 nights stay.

One of the best hotels in py ..top-notch rooms and party halls worth for the huge price

Maintainance is not that good. The door of shower room is broken in our room, in the other room socket in switchboard wasnt working. I liked the rooms n cleanliness.

The two star atyachaar!The two stars are for the swimming pool and the waiting lobby. Nothing else is worth the money in the hotel. Food is not so much tasty, and the rooms are not properly cleaned. In our case the single accommodation was converted to a double accommodation. Not a proper place if you are looking for comfort.

We requested for interconnecting rooms in higher floor. I called 3 times before reaching hotel, nobody informed that interconnecting rooms are available only in ground floor. At the time of checking in, we were informed. So we wanted to stay in higher floors so asked for higher floor rooms, then staff initially told that there are no rooms available in higher floors. After requesting multiple times, she confirmed that there are two rooms available in first floor (not sure how vacancy popped out in no time). So we took two rooms at first floor. Here the main problem starts, one of the rooms was very stinky smoking room. We had to go for outing so we thought when we come back at night smell will go off since start hotels will have proper exhaust provision in all rooms. But it was smelling same(high cigarette odor again) when we came back at night. So we decided to change room and approached reception. The guy at reception blindly commented that if we smoke in room it wont go off soon without knowing the fact that we are non-smokers. Is this the way reputed hotel staffs behave? We came as family and nobody in reception informed us that rooms given to us were smoking rooms. And they dont have proper provisions to clean the room to make sure cigarette smell goes off before giving room for next guest. Pathetic! Beware of inquiring well before you checkin to avoid similar issues. We have a kid and they gave us smoking rooms without informing us! Well done Sunway manor. Will never come back.

I have been to enough hotels by now but I have never seen such an amazing service in a very long time. The whole staff specially Komal were Super nice, took care of everything whenever I asked for. Definitely one of the major reason why I will remember Pondicherry in a good note...

Really good hotel to stay with friends and family. Smoking and non smoking rooms are available also, and rooms are spacious.

Drivers have no sleeping accomdation. Their own staffs are occupied....

Service is not good. Foods are super costly and that too tasteless. For every complimentary service, you have to call the reception. If you dont remember while booking then its not complimentary. The bathroom condition is pathetic--No Shower door, Hand shower not working(no body shows up even after complaining), no bathroom door mat. Wifi dont connect. Only positive thing is the swimming pool however you have to take synthetic wear to be in the swimming pool. They wont allow with cotton clothes(i dont know what is the reason behing it---Had to spend 1000 bucks extra to spend time at the pool). Also its very far from any of the beach. So i would suggest not to spend so much money booking in this hotel.

BOOK ONLINE ONLY... SOECIFICALLY AGODA. You will never get good walk in rates.Rooms are spacious. The bathrooms could be done a bit more better as the split glass leaves the floor wet. Not properly covered to take care of spills. Toiletries seem to be missing as the pantry is not properly replenished. You got to remind them.The breakfast is cold. Dont go by the buffet they offer. When u pay a price you expect the food to be warm if not hot. The medu vada felt raw and so were the sausages. Infact the SAUSAGES WERE UNDERCOOKED.And yes ..if u arrive at early morning or if u arrive early then your checkin dont expect mercy. You will have to wait. Politeness for the night staff is not by virtue.They do have a good gym , a mid size swimming pool (maybe little smaller then midsize). Enough parking space. Good location (near RTO).For food there are other options close by so you dont burn your wallet for bland food.

A good hotel at the price point that we got. Rooms are quite nice, so is the layout of the hotel. The mini fridge was not working when we checked in, but was replaced promptly. One of the taps in the bathroom wasnt working properly.The dinner buffet and breakfast had an extremely nice spread. Top notch. Though a tad expensive. But excellent food.I would definitely recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

We tried weekend buffet...the spread was good!!Both vegeterain and non vegetarian can enjoy the buffet equally...food was good ..But I think they should improve their desserts!!! chocolate ice cream which they served us was really bad!!

The Hotel was very good and notably Ms. Shreedevi at the Restaurant, Mr. Siva of Housekeeping, Bell boy Mr. Anandan & Gym manager Mr. Selvam were Outstanding and were very helpful. Gym was well maintained with great equipments. Breakfast was very well managed by Ms Sridevi and staff. The Breakfast and Dinner already were very good. Overall, a great hotel for a Family stay at city center.

Excellent service by the staff. My sons bday event was organised in their hall and stayed a night. Room service staff were very accommodative with our customised food requests and were very helpful. Very prompt service as well. Thanks to room service in charge Mr. Karthik for the same. Only con was the bathroom equipments were not working properly, could have done better maintenance for the same.

Rooms are ok, service is bar.Takes too much time for any requests. Pool is also small, food is the best thing here.

Worth every penny, spacious rooms with good varieties of food spreads. Has a play area for kids too.

Thank you Karthik,Satish and the entire team for making our family celebration of 49yrs of wedding anniversary today really special ..Really wanna appreciate you’l for being extremely proactive.our lunch was also served well and we were taken care of really well ..We are frequent travellers and we haven’t experienced such consistent service ..We were pretty apprehensive about travelling with elderly people but glad we took a decision to stay at sunway manor..So when my father in law was stepping out of the car by 8.45 pm today the security came running down the stairs to help him get out ..I was worried looking at him running ..doesn’t such things really make a huge difference..I sincerely request the Mangement team to thank him in a big way ..pls ..please do appreciate and thank the entire team especially Kartik and Suresh

The hotel is very good. They maintain their high standards and are very polite and warm. Swimming pool and gym are open. Room is big and well maintained. Would have been happy if there was a balcony to get some fresh air

Great place to relax. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very courteous and ready to cater to your needs. When we visited after the lockdown they ensured that our stay was safe and they did not compromise on any safety standards. The food is amazing especially the prawn dishes. Breakfast was filling. The bathroom is equipped with multi showers which offer a great bathing experience.

Good ambience and it has great banquet hall for weddings. Good hospitality is maintained by all the staffs. The buffet was quite pleasant. The rooms were well furnished, neat and tidy.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Subway Manor with very high hopes and all came crashing Dow once we entered there. Room wasn’t very neat and even the bed has some stains. Wifi never works there. When asked they say their technical team is working on it, although their work never gets over. For the price they are charging it’s not worth at all. We booked for 2 nights but decided to stay there just one night and cancelled the rest of the trip. And no there are no refunds.

No where near expectations.Will share just one incident our of many..I was told that rooms available only on ground floor, which I request to check again if it can be changed.No issues. ButSame moment while at reception receptionist got call from someone and she clearly said its available. I am Frequent traveller lets have some honestly. Booking from online app makes sometime feel cheated at hotels.Follow the basics and be genuine with all.

The place was average but was overpriced. Rooms, overall property and food was fine, but at the same price there are much better options available in Pondicherry. The staff was not too welcoming either, especially the front desk who always seemed as if they are in a bad mood for the whole three days we stayed there. Nothing wrong with the place except that value for money was quite low.

Disappointing and Very Bad service, never expected such low standards from Sunway Manor. No water for more than half a day and none of the guests were informed about the leakage in the pipeline and when it was repaired we got dirty and muddy water...for which they had a very casual sorry reply. Room service took more than One Hour to respond to any calls. The light in the toilets were not working and the staff had no clue.... Even though I had a DND card outside my room still I found the room service personnel knocking at the door, I had to remind him that I have a Do Not Disturb sign outside and asked him to come after 10 mins....he never turned up after that....overall it was absolutely disappointing and am sure to tell my friends not to even think of trying Sunway Manor, Pondicherry.

Attended an event here. Very good atmosphere. Food was of hight quality and tastier. Totti wasnt soft enough. Biriyani and meat was delicious. Staff was friendly and supportive.

We stayed in Sunway Manor,Pondicherry from 13th Feb21 to 15th Feb21.Found the experience PATHETIC:#1 When we checked in the room the table surfaces were dusty.#2 WIFI never worked in the room. The hotel staff kept on saying that technical team is working but we never got WIFI in the room.#3 The extra bedding the hotel staff provided was of poor quality. This was to such an extent that my daughters leg got scratched and bled.#4 When order for one tea and one coffee, the housing keeping team brought one coffee and another solution which was a mix of tea and coffee#5 At night, while we(i.e.family) ordered a la carte, my seven year old daughter wanted a particular sweet out of buffet as an addition to a la carte. When checked with the restaurant Manager on this, he said, he will charge for full child buffet meal even if one sweet is taken from the buffet.#6 Also, the second day, when we came down for dinner (i.e. a la carte), the restaurant staff was advising us to take food in the room. They mentioned that it will take very long time to prepare and serve the food. Later I realized that, their underlying idea was to keep the tables vacant for buffet(i.e. open for outsiders as well) which is priced at 900/-Rs plus taxes per head.Altogether VERY POOR HOSPITALITY and VERY POOR SERVICE in Sunway Manor, Pondicherry at 5040/-Rs per nightOn 15th Feb21, we checked out from Sunway Manor, Pondicherry and moved to the previous hotel where we stayed last year as well as last to last year(i.e. THE SHENBAGA HOTEL).Staying at SHENBAGA Hotel has been altogether an amazing experience every time and that too at a very reasonable/lower cost.

Amazing lunch buffet spread

Pleasant stayClean rooms and courteous staff. Worth the price that we paid. Bathrooms can be improved a bit as the showers are a little complicated- yet amazing once you figure it out. Ample parking space is available and location of the hotel is prime. Special mentions to the valets and the front door security people for their excellent service!

Very Nice Hotel with spanking clean & hygienic rooms. Overall very well maintained. Breakfast buffet was very good. Did not get to use the Pool & Fitness center due to covid restrictions. A la carte menu prices were very high for side dishes. Did not try A la carte food, so cannot comment on quality or quantity.

Simply terrible. Do not expect anything from this hotel. Wastage of time and money. Had to wait an hour to get some attention from the front desk. Terrible food and lack of courtesy from the staff.
