Beautiful Ganesha temple also known as Birla Ganapati in Shirgaon area. It’s visible from the old Pune-Mumbai highway and it’s just after the toll plaza. Take left from toll plaza and it’s 5mins Journey from their.It’s a narrow road which will lead to this place. Limited paid car parking space. Place is well maintained and if you like gardening then you have an amazing nursery at the entry point.

I didnt have any photograph. I visited this place around 6 years ago and from that time change several mobile phones.This place is soo good, Mumbai Pune highway and almost pune city can be viewed from this location. Fresh air and not soo crowded place.
Beautiful place to visit. You get to see the enormous Ganesha statue which is even visible from several kms, situation on top of hill. Place is surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys. It feels peaceful and calm. Lord Ganesha is on the top of hill. Close to Pune Mumbai express. Take Dehu road exit, after 4 km on towards Pune. You will reach. Beautiful sunrise & sunset you can see.
Birla Ganpati Temple is around 25KM from Pune near to Somatane toll plaza on Old Pune Mumbai Highway. Statue is Huge and is visible from good distance. Overall it is a good place to watch sunset as well. This temple is a good single day visit if clubbed with Lonavala/Khandala/Pavna/Pratishirdi.

Visited the temple in the last week of August, they are allowing anyone to visit the place due to Covid restrictions. Road leading to the mark is too narrow, dont know whether they have parking facility, a bit disappointed as it was my first visit and cant take darshan of the Bappa.
Big statue of ganpati bappa. Old Pune Mumbai highway.. temple is on top .. so have to take stairs to reach..on top benches are there for seating so you sit and enjoy the city view.. parking for both 2&4 wheeler is available.. road to reach temple is narrow.. and temple is just 100 m away from toll still we have to pay.. good for visiting during monsoon can spend 30-40 min
30km from pune on old panvel highway. Easily noticeable from highway tollbooth. Small but good place. 100-150 steps are there. Huge ganesh murthi. Good place to spend 1-2 hours. Parking is there with 20rs charge. Birthday celebration is not allowed inside the place. It has good view of highway city and mountain.
Visited this place on a sunny afternoon.. You just take a left which is slightly ahead from Toll check.. can tak car or bike till the base of it and then there are only few stairs to climb..have few benches alongside the stairs if you want to rest in between or want to enjoy the view..The statue is huge.. Its not a temple.. Worth a visit.

A nice and cool place to be visited after 7 in the evening. The temple is situated by the side of highway, away form City. You will feel a peace there. The idol of Lord Ganesha is quite beautiful and big. Its a place to spend some time listening cool breeze.

Located around 25kms from Pune near Somatane toll plaza. This huge ganapathi statue is located on the hill. Best time to visit is during evening time. Vehicles can be driven till base of the hill and need to walk for around 100 mtrs.
Very nice and scenic place but approach road is quite congested and many staircase to reach on top. well maintained and clean area. you can view entire area from the hill.

The rating is for the place. Its loosing its shine. I visited the place when it was newly opened. Now when you go there, you feel like the place is older than what it is. I have still given 4 stars as the place still worth a visit.

Amazing temple.. It can be seen from a long distance on the old Mumbai Pune highway after the somtane phata toll plaza... Temple is 800-900m from the toll but still you have to pay the toll :-P There is a parking on the top for 2 wheelers and cars.. There are some 40-50 steps to reach the temple from the parking. Very good view of the city from the temple. Not much commercialised also which gives a pleasant feeling .

This temple is situated at a hilly place.It is so huge that the statues can be seen from the streets and as well as from the highway.The view from the temple is mind refreshing. You get a good view of the whole city and the nearby places.The only accommodation to the temple is by walking from the main road.
A good place to visit with family. One of the biggest statue of Lord Ganapati on a hill top in pune. You can Park your car at the parking lot available for 15 Rs charges.To reach to the temple there are around 150 steps which takes around 5-10 mins.The statue is one of the biggest statue in Pune city, you can easily seeit from old Pune-Mimbai highway too.Once in the top, you can take Blessings of God Ganesha and relax on the benches situated around tge statue. There is a small garden too but its not allowed to enter in it.You can get a good view of Sorrounding area from the top.Basically a quick stop enroute Pune to spend some time with family.

The place and temple is worth visiting only if u r roaming in the area for other reason and place of visit.I suggest not to visit the place exclusively bcoz it is situated far away from the city.

Best place to find peace of mind. Good thing is temple is located at hill and there is always cool wind flowing across temple which makes temple to attract devotees to pay a visit here. Temple is bit crowded at the occasion of Ganesh chaturthi.Temple can be easily found with Google maps.

Beautiful place on Mumbai Pune old highway. Just after the toll, take left and then again left after around 30m. From the point you need to take left has a view of an overhead water tank.Around 100m further, there is parking for bikes and two wheelers.Walk 100+ steps and you are there. Steps are comfortable to climb and even old people can easily climb. If you get tired on the way, there are many place to sit and relax before proceeding.The Ganesh idol is very well made and maintained. The atmosphere up is very relaxing and have a nice view of surroundingd

It is a beautiful place. The greatness of big Ganapathi idol and the scenery from the top of the hill cannot be said in words. I got the same feeling like in Birla Temple in Hyderabad. I even dont know this temple built by birla & after searching from the prathi shirdi got to know who constructed it.
A very large Mangal Murti Morya IDOL 72 foot is situated at Shirgaon about 26km from pune.

Big statue of Lord Ganesh.You will definitely love the view from above.Statue is very big enough that can be spotted by very far distance.You can drive till the middle of the place where you can park it.Need to take stairs (more than 200) to reach out on top to see the amazing views.A small garden is there where you can spend time with your family.Outside food is allowed here. So it will be a good small picnic spot where children can play and you can capture beautiful scenery pictures and good selfies.This place is at Somatane village and near Talegaon Toll plaza. You might need to pay toll if you are driving through Mumbai Pune highway. Toll is not applicable for two wheeler. For rest need to pay the toll depending on the vehicle type.You can spend couple of hours to enjoy place. You can also visit Prati Shirdi temple just five minutes away from this place. It is a Sai Baba temple. Its similarly build based on original Shirdi Sai Baba temple. Parking is free here and temple Prasad is also available. Few shops to buy some items. So if you plan for three to four hours picnic with family, theses are the best place.Plan on weekends. Local commute is also available to reach these places.
