It was one of a kind experience at Riva. We had an amazing time. The location is scenic and the proximity to the beach made the view all the more beautiful.The rooms were very well maintained and sanitized. The staff was courteous and helpful too.This stay will definitely be a memorable one! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment at Riva.We are sure to visit again.

It is the best property in North Goa, the location is breathtaking, lot of greenery and very close to Mandrem beach(50 meters approx). We stayed in Coco cottage for 9 days and 8 nights in Sept 2021 it’s a sea view room.They have multi cuisine restaurant which serves delicious buffet. Staff is very cooperative specially Mr. Nicholas( front office) and Mr. Paresh, we had a baby with us but they fulfilled all our additional requests. Highly recommend resort.

Best luxurious Beach Resort, on the beach at very reasonable rates and the food was also decent. The overall vibe is great. Cleanliness is good as well as the room was big. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend who likes to spend time on beach and stay near beach. The cottages have a beach view and are big in size as well. Service is also good and the staff is very helpful.

The rooms that they are calling delux in this resort are very small and should be named as standard rooms instead of delux. They expanded the original resort over the years and they are trying to covert every available corner to a room. Go for a cottage room type for decently spaced room.The best part of the resort is the river canal, its bridge and the private beach. Room service is decent and buffet breakfast has good choices.Near by area outside the resort is not yet commercial. But you will get bikes on rent at a walkable distance to explore around.

Everywhere you look, you cannot stop but utter the word gorgeous. We truly loved being here. They have small spaces from where you can sit and enjoy the view 24*7. The beach is just 2 minutes away and is a safe, private place to be at.The food is not very up to the mark but tastes decent. If you want a private, cozy corner and have your own vehicle or rental car then you can surely pick this one. I would love to go back there during my next visit as well :)

The resort is located at very peaceful location but there are things we faced1. No availability of daily need if you going with the children or senior citizen2. We booked for sea facing premium room but they gave us partial sea view honestly there was only view of river3. not at all hygienic4. Washroom was not at all clean5. Stinky smell was in room6. Room service was very bad7. Mosquitoes were in room8. Food in very expensive in house

Had stayed for 4D 3N.Great things :Polite Staff, Location, Food, Helpful chef (I had kept dough ready for my sons chapati, After several calls to reception to either help with hotels chapati or help me make mine we dint got any response. Resorted to talking chef and local manager directly and whoah they helped in 2 mins !)Good things:Rooms, Room service, Breakfast (At least one thing you can eat).Bad or Worst things:Beach cleanliness: Resort is beach resort but no lights at night or in Day even a single sitting arrangement not made.In house amenities: Nothing is there except kayaking for which they charge 500rs(Which is more seeing the state of boats).Don know why its called resort it has to be beach hotel.Promptness in Services: The room service staff wasnt that prompt in delivering the required items.Pool: Flat 4ft height pool having capacity of 20 people rest can be understood.I had gone with 2 yr Old kid and managing his food needs(I expected something on their menu but only dal khichdi I could see) was very tough.Advice to People going with child: Make sure you keep things with you else it can be hard for you to manage.

Initially when reached car parking was a major drawback as no proper parking available at the resort. Check-in process was smooth and receptionist were very helpful. Rooms were pretty decent with amenities inside. Whole resort area was quite good, maintained well and clean.Beach access from resort is very beautiful specially night time with lights. Room service is very good and staff are very polite. Overall stay at resort was excellent other than parking which can be improved. we had celebrated birthday at resort after going to resort reception and they confirmed it in short time and prepared well. we had ordered cake at resort which was very tasty and worth the amount . I had ordered dinner in room which was excellent, reasonable rates and worth it.

Amazing property with excellent view....Rooms are big.... Property is huge... Food is delicious ....Special thanks to Mr Paresh for arranging proper buffet lunch for us.Only problem is its far from raliway station and airport...no local taxi or buses run on that route...Be ready to shell three times the amount for to n fro to the rsort....bikes on rent are easily avalable on rent at Rs400 per day....local market is 2km away from resort so ensure you carry all your stuff

I am giving full star for the location and resort and food. However, the front office staff goof up with your rooms and dont give you what you booked for. You will pay for garden view and they will give you a room which they are newly building where a lot of construction work is going on.make sure you get what you paid for! We wasted 3-4 hrs fighting and arguing with them for the room which made our stay unpleasant.

This is the second time I m posting a review as hotel staff managed to resolve initial issue. Before leaving hotel room we informed staff to clean the room to which they acknowledged too. When we came back it was not cleaned. Called reception multiple times, person sitting at reception said our house keeping supervisor takes care of it. People came after sometime which swimming pool towels and said we cant clean it as house keeping people are gone for the day. This is the least we expect a hotel to do and Riva failed to do it. Would always prefer Nanu resort over Riva. None of the staff seemed to be trained professionally.Seems like this is going to be our last stay ever in this hotel. Wouldnt recommend anyone else as well.

The place is beautiful, right near the beach , the sea waves ☺️ calm and refreshing. But be very careful when picking your rooms.. Ocean view room that we booked, hardly had the ocean view.. these rooms are old , which are not fresh and makes you doubt what you paid for.We stayed the first day in, a partial sea view room. The new buildings have small rooms but just enough, cozy and super soft mattress and blankets. It felt really good . Was expecting this in the room we shifted to the next day - Ocean view - not very comfortable, the washroom was stinking so much . Complained and it was serviced immediately- but in vain.. the smell didnt go at all.. the next day we were moved to another room , and we had to wait for an hour for this to happen. And there the AC was making weird noises. Had to complain again, and someone came to fix it.. so basically paid and found issues in each room and then stood there supervising , when the person made the AC alright.The blankets and pillows were old, rough and not good at allThis is not what I paid for 🤷🏻‍♀️ I agree they did try to resolve the issue. But shouldnt the hotel make sure all the rooms are good and comfortable.Overall not a great experience. It was Ok.Will definitely not recommend the Sea view rooms - the building is old and not well maintained

Overall the resort is ok, the food is horrible and costly which is not worthy for the taste. House keeping is poor and few amenities doesnt work (ex:refrigerator). However the private beach, canal and the bridge are beautiful. For the resort I can rate 4 but for the food I can rate 1

Beautiful place!Outdoors are well maintained. Restaurant and food was good. I found the beverages are bit expensive.Kayaking 👌🏼Cons:- We have requested for checkout and waited for more than half an hour for the staff to come and pickup our luggage.

Posting again as issue was taken care of previously. Highly disappointed with the services as they don’t clean room when you come back. Already called in the morning and asked to clean the room, the lady acknowledged but when we came back it wasn’t clean .When called multiple times they said their sup PANDIT takes care of cleaning part. What is the use of paying so much when you are not even getting clean rooms. Pls check other resorts b4 u plan to stay here. It’s just the beach part attracts tourists rest everything u have to compromise.

Visited the restaurant inside this resort in the first week of Oct 2021. I must say that it was pretty average and not up to the mark.Service was delayed and no one seemed to bothered about it.

This resort is located right on the Mandrem beach, overlooking the vast sea.. Hence, this resort will always be ideal for a nice, quiet, relaxing vacation.. Staff is very cooperative as well.. There is a beautiful river passing from the middle of the resort.. Hence, you get amazing views of both sea and river, respectively..

I had a great time on this resort. Their property is great and having easy access to beach. Their food quality was good, but you wont have many options if youre vegetarian. Plus, they have live music in evening in their restaurant which was really enjoyable. I am giving 4 stars because their room service was not great, you have to wait more than average for your service. Overall, resort is having better facilities and environment is family friendly.

Bathroom- Big n clean with most of needed amenities. No bathtub in partial sea view room. 4 starBeach- 100 mt walking through wooden bridge. Clean beach with life guard. No beach shacks during August. 4 starSwimming pool- Average size n clean. Serves snacks n drinks, poolside. u get sea view from pool. 3 starBreakfast- 3 star ( all depends on your taste buds)overall a good resort, if u wont mind spending some extra time in travelling. services are good. One can relax here as its away from crowded places like calangute. Arambol beach is approx 5-6 km from here, one can find beach shacks round the year.

Overall it was great experience. Resort has easy access to beach. We asked for special arrangements for our anniversary celebration. They made great arrangements including cocktails,dinner and room decoration. Only compliant I have is with everyday breakfast buffet which has quite repetitive menu.

Visited this place two times. N lately visited it this month on the 6th of September for my birthday . It was amazing and beautiful . The location here is excellent, but the real cherry on top are the staff who are extremely helpful and provide you with the best . The breakfast spread and dinner with Live music is very good too. Overall a perfect getaway.

Good place for family but it far from other tourist places

I couldn’t resist myself to write how best this resort is in all manner. One of the best resort I ever visited. Resort connected with lake & beach is mind blowing. Food is good too.Defiantly this place is in my bookmark for further visits.

Great place to stay at this resort which is right on the beach. The staff is very helpful and always hv a smile on their face. Almost all of the staff is vaccinated.The wooden bridge over the small stream takes u right at the beach front.

All the staff and specially Lushai is very good and kind person with all his behaviour and he is very dedicated towards his guest I wish him a great future ahead 👍👍👍👍😊 other then that this property is just awesome

I had booked a premium cottage in this resort a month ago , however at arrival they were unable to recognize my booking even though i had a booking id and confirmation email. spent close to 3 hours just for sorting out the room issue with hotel and booking agent(Agoda). The resort expected us to talk with agoda customer care to sort out the issue, the whole mood of our travel had changed because of this. The main reason was that there was some film shooting happening in the resort and hence they had booked most of the rooms due to which our booking was unrecognizable by them. Seems like they had give our room to them which shows pure discrimination among customers, front desk people are just horrible. had to settle down for a downgrade. The food service was also very slow and the food was not something so good. The only best part about the hotel was room service and location. rest all were just pathetic. Please call them up and confirm the booking before going there and take it an email to be on the safer side or you guys might face the same issues as us

A beautiful resort just by the sea. Well maintained place. Staff is really friendly and service is quite fast. Food was awesome. For dinner we ordered ala carte and for Breakfast there is a buffet with lot of varieties and live kitchen. A lot of trees all around which makes the resort more beautiful. The pool is a bit deep (4.5 feet i guess) and there is no separate pool for kids (the only con i can suggest). Rooms are big with all amenities.Coming to the beach, its hardly 200 steps from the rooms. They have a wooden bridge made on a river which comes in between Hotel and the Sea. A place where your cameras will come out automatically.They have kayaking n cycling available. Kayaking u can do in the river flowing just outside the resort.Overall a comfortable stay. Will definitely recommend!

One of the only such resorts, up north in Mandrem. Food is alright, staff is fantastic and helpful. Popular with tourists from North India. Noisy place with music throughout. So if you want a quiet, peaceful holiday in Goa, this isnt it. But works if you are looking to party with a view of the sea etc. Mandrem Beach out front is quiet and amazing for kids. Lots of space to play. Pool is small but adequate. Breakfast spread is unbelievable, theres so much choice. Recommended. Kitchen is open till late, room service is mostly quick and immediate. Regular rooms are kind of cramped, but enough for a few days. If traveling with kids, opt for a larger room.

Giving 2 star for location and room. But the resort service is so poor. People are smoking in no smokine zone (Dine in area). Nobody was bothered about it even though the staff. We arrived late for dinner because of late room service as it was raining and we were waiting for umbrella since 1 hour. Seriously will not recommend this resort for stay.

To start off with this place is really worth the price you pay. Definitely it is a bliss to stay here. Kindly note if you book Garden view room ask them for a room in first floor as the ground floor is covered with disgusting compund and it stinks outside. Major negative for which I did not give one star is the Food service. They definitely need to improve it, the service is really bad and food doesnt taste good at all. Apart from that swimming pool and everything is really top notch. You will enjoy your stay here and you will feel relaxed. Remember you dont pay money here for your room but for the ambience and facilities.

After much research chose this resort for a leisure trip for 2 days. Entire 2 days resort’s main places where you can walk take pics were blocked for shooting. We cannot even stand to certain places as constantly they were saying Mam please side. Mam clear the path. All the huts near the river were occupied by the crew till 9pm. Coming to rooms, it’s shabby ill maintained. We booked premium room sea view and this one is so under maintained. The bed sheets are all cotton threads out and most of the bed sheets are same. The curtains are dirty. Food taste is not up to the mark. One of the worst stay so far in Kolkata. Over hyped in YouTube videos. I will not recommend it. And if you choose better call them and ask if there is any such blockage you May face. I just gave 2 rating out of courtesy..

It is awesome resort with its personal beach 🏖️. Very nice staff and food is also awesome. Little bit away from madgaon railway station and there is no place to visit nearby so if want to enjoy peaceful stay then definitely book this hotel 🏨. Its Riva Resort personal beach so best time to spend with your partner and your kids. In this pandamic situation no need to go for outing you can easily spend your full day at resort. Its located near sea side so just 5min walking you can beach view and start enjoying.

The place was excellent, but service is slow due to less staff. Resort is equipped with all amenities has pool kayaking and connect to beach do take superior wooden cottages if your not on a budget trip.

Very bad service done purposefully as we had booked for a long period and the hotel staff knew we were staying there no matter what. Only first 3 and last 2 days proper service given. There are too much stairs to walk down4. The sea facing rooms are actually rover facing, and you have to walk a lot to go to ocean, the ground floor rooms have no visibilty of beach only river5. Located in a place, where there is nothing around, you will have to take food here only6. Too far from airport7. Room service is very bad, they take 30-60 mins to return with anything, also the number is busy most of time ( feels intentionally) so that you cant call, and also reception is very far to walk, you might end up not asking things to them8. Poor house keeping

Can stay in the car or even on the road, but not in this hotel. Pathetic rooms only the location of the resort is good, beds are too small 5 ft long, and horrible bathrooms, we checked in and the rooms were not ready, goa is supposed be offering a warm welcome for tourists but we felt completely unwelcomed as we were checked into unclean and messy rooms, very unprofessional, the staff was just not bothered and we were taken for a ride for 3 to 4 hours after check in we were just shifting from one place to another that to, horrible experience. We travel often in India as well as abroad but this was horrible, the oyo rooms give a better service compared to this, at least they are clean loading some photos along with my reviewPlease don’t stay at riva beach resort

Were still here, checking out tomorrow, and so far its been an amazing experience. Decided on a short weekend staycation, and I must say that we couldnt have done better in the budget we set.The place is beautiful, with super kind and helpful staff. Beautiful property right next to the beach! Would definitely visit again if i get a chance. However our room(805) looked like it needed a bit of maintenence as the walls were damp and a strong pungent smell was present in the bathroom thoughtout. Apart from that, everything about this place was amazing !

Premium sea view rooms are of great choice in this resort. It says sea view but they are actually river view. Access to beach is through a private wooden bridge.Rooms are really clean with princess bed, bath tub and toiletries. Room service is good. Buffett breakfast is a must try here, though we forgot to include while booking we tried and it is really nice option. Food is really tasty as well.Pool there is a nice option to chill out.Overall loved it..

Excellent location with the water stream and beach nearby. Courteous staff.But the resort is not well maintained as expected. We have booked a premium sea view room ( the best in the property ) yet the room was dirty, furnitures looked filthy. Air conditioner turns itself off 😃 after 10pm.Asked to clear the used plates to the room service and they left half of the things outside in the night. Stray dogs had a feast with it. In the name of COVID protocol there is no daily housekeeping service. No waste bins in the property.Above all they decided to do the swimming pool maintenance during the guests packed busy weekend.Still, there is hope since half of the propery is being under renovation 🤭Last but not the least. Check out time is 11am and the valet is only available till 10. So you need to pick up your car from the parking area which is on top of a mountain 🏔️

Poor front desk service! Booked for partial sea view but had to wait for 2nd day to get that, welcome drinks not provided but it was included in MMT package, Resort is under construction, entire day you’ll hear drilling and other construction noises. Construction workers peeping through your balcony. Bed size is not lengthy enough to accommodate 6ft person. Breakfast is avg. considering it’s a resort in isolated location at least breakfast should be Kingsize. Except 1/2 items everything is repetitive. Dinner is more pathetic for set menu. Asked front desk lady for room service in the morning till evening rooms were not cleaned. That to for entire our stay of 6days only 1 day asked for room service. Pillows were dirty, there are insects in the bed. Cigarette ash were all over the chair even after room service.Only good thing is Greenfield and isolated location. Yes 1days there was live music.

They serve buffet for breakfast and dinner & youll be surprised to see the varieties of food served. The service was also outstanding, as they immediately respond & solve our queries. Dont worry about the distance from main happenings of North Goa, as scooter for hire is well available near the property itself.

Great Property with private beach at Calangute, beach is just 10 meters from the property. Great food, Great ambience, great location. Rooms are very tidy and clean, Staff and manager are very polite and friendly - they quickly resolve if you raise any kind of query. Rooms are equipped with all modern amenities such as wifi, hot water, AC, TV etc etc... Well maintained property, price is also economical considering the beach front location. water is available all the time, 24 hours Generator back up is available. stay at this location was amazing - enjoyed a lot.
