Got seated at the entrance when clearly there were tables available in the main dinning area. Server was very rude and above all, racist.

Excellent food with good service. They have dinner sets. The setting is typical French brasseire style. Food is simple with no fuss but tastes nice. Price is reasonable for the quality. Can be quite busy so best to make a reservation

Old school classy French restaurant with white table cloths and uniformed waiters BUT it does not feel stuffy at all. In fact, very friendly staff, who also speak English, make you feel welcome. The restaurant has several smaller dining rooms that create cosy atmosphere. The food of course is amazing. Fresh oysters are already on display outside on the street. The wine list is extensive. Lots of dignitaries dined here as you can see from their pictures on the walls, yet the prices are normal for a French restaurant, with nice menu options. All in all, this place is a must when you’re in Paris.

Very beautiful place, especially some rooms with high celling and nice lights and windows and mirrors. Service is fast and very professional. The wine card is really surprising in the good way with very old wines for reasonable prices. I hesitated to put 5 stars because my main dish was for me a bit light in side quantity 🙂 Tables sober decoration, napkin, glasses... are also part of the pleasure of having a dîner or a lunch in such a place.

Fantastic restaurant tucked away near the Gallery Lafayette. We ate here 3 times in 4 nights it was just fantastic. Classic French cuisine, super friendly staff, and fab wines from the Loire. Highly recommend this restaurant. Made our trip!

Great visiting Paris and experiencing this excellent and friendly serviced restaurant. Food was right on the money. Creme brûlée generously flavoured with vanilla pod seeds. Lovely atmosphere, great environment to dine in.

Our dinner was amazing from start to end! The service and the kindness of the staff were impaccable!We had seafood platter and escargot as starters which were right on ! I had the sea bream with carrot puree and it was very very delicious! We learnt that the restaurant was open since 1864 !Would recommend this restaurant 100%👍👍

Waiting for a long time, the waiter does not order the food. The waiter has a bad attitude! They are treated differently because they speak English.

I had been to this restaurant several years ago and was pleased to find it again, relatively unchanged. The service was courteous and prompt, and the food was excellent. We both had the sea bass with risotto, and it was cooked to perfection. Nice wine list with many options from the Loire Valley.A lovely evening.

This was a traditional French experience that we loved. Service was excellent and the tried hard to speak to us in English. The food was excellent. We had a variety of dishes. I got the millet with celery puree as the main course. The items went perfectly together. The celery puree and the dash of dill cut through the strong millet flavor. The deserts were amazing. Prices were very reasonable. Must try!

This is quite unique French bourgeois style resto. Food was very good! Their starter with lentils and desserts are unforgettable, also selection of wines was very good too.

Delicious French food that reminds you why the French are famous for food. I had an onion soup that had the perfect balance of subtlety and savoriness, and the main course was just as good. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was light and comfortable. I wish I were staying in Paris longer to come here again. Best meal of the trip.

Not Bad !Our Hotel Concierge recommended this establishment to us as it was a few minutes walk from our hotel.The French Onion Soup was nice as well as the Lentil dish. There were not a lot of options for kids and they ended up having Fish & Chips.The Manager was very courteous.

Service is great and the veal was spectacular. Snail starter was rich in garlic and butter, but delicious. Wine was also good.

I don’t speak much French and they don’t speak much English but we had an awesome meal. We were accommodated on short notice for New Year’s Eve and enjoyed (even with the the limited menu) so much that we came back three nights later and had another great meal.

The food is traditional French and is a little heavy if your used to more of a California cuisine style of food. The Staff is very attentive, the atmosphere is good, the resturant is clean and they have a very good selection of wine. I would eat here again.

Been here a few times over the years. It remains one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. Nothing extraordinary, just consistently really good food, with an ambiance I enjoy (no music, just jibber jabber with friends).

The food was great, the staff was greater stillWe got here at about 7:15. They had just opened and we were NOT used to the French eating times. First day.They said we needed reservations, but, my wife can be quite pitiful. A little tilt of the head, a little pouty lips and a sad little please and we had a table for 4. Yay!We had 4 different dishes to try out the French food, and, 4 different deserts. The Rum Baba was FANTASTIC. We raved over the RUM on it, and, they brought us the entire bottle, so, of course all the deserts now had their rum on it. Yummy.The wait staff was very attentive. And, of course, we heard how the French really dont like us UGLY Americans - but - you could not tell it from the way we were treated. Almost like celebrities.We had our first experience - waiting for the check - and guess what? You dont get it until you ask for it, and, the reason you need reservations? Theres only one seating from what we could tell, and, we went there twice during our stay. We were there, laughing, eating, having fun (and that bottle of rum was almost gone when we left - with no additional charge). But, everyone else was doing the same. When we finally asked for the check - and left - around 3 hours later - the same people were in there that were there or came in at 8pm (seems that is the go-to time for evening meals in France) ..I loved it. Ill go again just to go there. Really.I think I should have given it 5 stars, oh, and a booth they keep just outside the eatery .. just for oysters .. fresh .. on the shell .. and very inexpensive. Had to have a few of those before I left the place.

Fantastic! Fresh oysters, great wine, and wonderful service. The restaurant was full and my fiance and I were the only non-French speakers in the dining room. Everyone was extremely friendly and the service was the best we had in Paris. We had the seafood platter with oysters, prawns, and snails for an appetizer, followed by Haddock and filet of Sole for our entres. I actually left my credit card in the payment book by mistake and the materdei chased me down outside to return it. This will be a regular in our Paris stable of restaurants. Fantastique!

We went to the little Berthillion stand on the Rue di Buci in St. Germaine. I had the honey nougat, which was out of this world. Never had ice cream so rich and creamy, yet demure as this. I will always have Berthillion in Paris from now on, you must not miss it.

Lovely atmosphere, great service and enjoyable food. The cold tomato soup was delightful with a a variety of flavors and textures. Perhaps the best prepared pommes frites Ive ever had.

We were very well received at Au Petit Riche. Very pretty setting, pleasant terrace, lovely staff. We really liked the dishes served as well as the wine. In the photo, a duck breast, served with an excellent honey sauce (except for me, my wish was respected to the letter).Excellent restaurant.

I went there with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday, we had a great time, our dishes were excellent the only downside is that the server took away our plate of sweets that we were kindly offered too early on we were able to savor them until the end.I recommend the grilled octopus.
