A historic temple submerged in backwaters of Ujani dam near Bhigwan. It can be visited in summer when water level is low. There are two temples built side by side in the same premises. A huge varandah/ lobby is in front of the temple. There is another temple nearby, on its walls Ramayana incidences are carved. A very beautiful site to visit, near Pune. One may have to use local boat service at times.

Palasdev Temple -Throughout the year, this beautiful temple, which is situated in the vast reservoir of the Ujani dam, is open for tourists for 2-3 months after water erosion. Palasdev is an ancient temple which was originally built in the 12th century. In 1975, the construction of the Ujni Dam was completed and after that the dam washed into the water, with a sample of an amazing sculpture with you. Later in 1680, the building of the temple and temple of Baburao Jahangirdar was built. There are many ruins of Veeragal, Falcon Nandi, Dashavtar Shilpatta, Uma-Maheshwar craft, Satishila and temple in the temple premises. There are several sculptures in the Ramayana temple. There is also a inscription telling the year that the temple is built on one pole of the temple.Kugaad fort-At some distance from Palsadva temple, Kugaon is a fortress. Like the Palsad, this fortress has also become a boon. Sardar Inamdar is said to be a fort. Even though the fort is down, its construction of the well is still in progress. Here, great surroundings can be used for photography.

Palasnath Temple PalasdevMany big villages in a big project like a damDrowns, displaces. Some of the sights are also found in this water body. A similar clash of Ujani reservoirs near Indapur in Pune district sat on the ancient temples of Palasnath and Kashi Vishwanath in Palsadev. If the temple of Palasnath is completely submerged, then Kashi Vishwanaths neglect. Those who are crazy about wandering will deliberately waitThese are the two temples to see. Every year, summer is hotThe drought began to reach the bottom of the water, or bothTemples can be seen properly.Palasdev, 5 km on Pune-Solapur highway. All ST buses heading to Indapur, Solapur stop here.Ujani reservoir about two kilometers north of this villageIs. It is in this reservoir that the village of Palsadev sank in 1949.Since this submerged part of the village is elevated, it is not completeIt was shaped like an island by drowningIs. Come to this old town, once with swordsmenThe glory of this Pallasadeva begins to appear. Ancient timesPalasadeva was a prosperous market. There was a coast around the village. There were four gates on this bank.Their names are Bhat, Nath, Chambhar and Chief. From the west to the north, the river flows around the villageThere was a ferry. On all this background, Palasnath, NagnathAnd Kashi Vishwanath had temples built well. But in 1959, the reservoir was discovered here and othersApart from the villages, Ujjain took Palasadeva in his stomach.Today, I started to walk here, that the Palasnath submerged in the dam andOn the bank of Kashi Vishwanathas carved temples,Let’s catch the attention. Kashi Vishwanath of theseAt the waters edge. Sitting in the water of the dam leaving the feet. Its carved form is seen from afar. Get closerAs soon as it comes alive, it takes control of our mind.Temple facing west. To the west, north and southIts design was the porch, the hall, and the sanctuary. The summitCompletely collapsed. Pillars and pillars of the tabernacleThe carved, recessed ceilings, while the outer walls fold into the shape of a clockBuilt. On it again the curved corners, the raised sculptures. The whole idea of standing in a wonderful placeCreator. All the sculptures on the wall are still alive today.Just like carving a chronology. In the RamayanaBased on many occasions. That Sita in Ashokavana, in his handsMonkeys who build bridges with rocks, sea water, ram-The occasion of the battle of Ravana would be like building the story of that templeSee.Seeing all this, it should come into the abyss. But no one hereThe idol is not visible. Maharashtra is the temple of such a systemHemadpanti, which are rare in the state, are rareCalled as a variety.! -
