Palasdo is 190 km from Pune on Pune-Solapur highway.This temple went under water after 1978 when Ujani dam was built and after that very few time, 2001, 2013, 2016 and this year 2019 temple comes out of water.Palasnath Temple Situated near Palasdeo village, this ancient structure, dated between the 9th and 11th century, was built by Chalukya Kings. Created in a Hemadpanthi style, the temple has beautiful stone carvings. This is a very unique type of shikhar not seen usually in these areas temples.These are not just a temples but very beautiful monuments of Indian architecture and stone carving which needs preservation.The backwaters of Ujjani Dam is wintering home for list of migratory birds such as Greater Flamingo. Bhigwan is also home to the fastest bird of animal kingdom .

Good place to witness ancient medieval architecture of the temple. This temple remains immersed in the backwater of Ujani dam and comes out only in drought like situations when water recedes. But truly immaculate and intricate detailing in sculpture makes it a worth visit. Also it is good site for star gazing by the lake with less light pollution.

This temple became inaccessible after the construction of Ujani Dam (around 1998 I think) ... its a must see if you get the chance. This might only happen in late summer. Make it a point to also visit the nearby Ram temple. Both these should be preserved ideally

If you go from village palasdev you have to take just two minutes boat ride to the temple. Boatman will take 50 Rs each for both sides. If you come from village Takali any vehicle directly comes to the temple, but Ram Mandir is on opposite side that is on Palasdev village side and there is water in between. So either way you have to take boat. You must see Ram Mandir. Dont go in water as mud beneath is about 6 feet deep.

A historical temple of god ram,situated in river Bhima. Temple was fully submerged under water. Only in summer we can visit this temple.there are two temples,Temples is made of bricks and stones. That architecture was awesome on the stones. Temple situated at Palasdeo village near bhigwan. To reach temple you have to take boats at the blank of river bhima in palasdeo village. They charge near 30-50 per person. there is no guide to give an information about place, boatman knows well about an temple. Worst part is there is no instruction boards or no one taking care of these place. Villagers have to take care of these historical temple and statues. Well love these place.😍

This is a very historically significant site and a holy temple built thousand years ago by Chalukya Kings. This temple is submerged in the backwater of Ujni dam and is opened to visit once a year when the water level decreases. This is not just a temple but archeological wonder and signifies the Rich History, Culture and Tradition of this Region in the past.

This temple was built by Chalukya Kings (Kalyani Chalukya whose Capital was in today’s Basavakalyan between 10 to 12th Century AD) and minimum 800 to 900 years old. The temple is of Hemadpanthi style and shikhar is in saptabhumij style which is having an empty space a small dome in the shikhar, 6-7 people can seat and do the hawan and pooja inside the shikhar. This is a very unique type of shikhar not seen usually in these areas temples. Also there is very beautiful stone crafting on temple pillars and makhar (entrance of Grbha graha) which matches with style of other temples in region.Today the Shiv linga is shifted from this temple and replaced in new temple and we can see old temple and many veergals with mud and dirt of bird’s nests and the crafting is getting waste away by water.
