Excellent pub, loads of screens to watch the match, got a table straight away. Drinks very reasonable and Sunday lunch, 2 for £10! What more could you want? Oh, and lovely, friendly, welcoming staff too. Would definitely go back.

Well this was the first place I went to to get a beer after lockdown and we were not let down.The staff were lovely, they organised a table even when we had not booked and they kept us topped up with beers.I had the gammon, eggs and chips, proper pub grub and it was half decent as well. Thanks very much for a good day.Enjoyed the beer and the food!

I used the Greene King app last night to order my meal and mistakenly placed my order at the Gunner instead of the pub i was currently sat in. I phoned up to make the gunner aware of this and could not fault the lovely service of Christine and Kelly. They were very understanding and explained that the next time i was in the gunner i could recieve a meal for the same price that i paid on the app. Best staff with the best food and drinks!

First time having pub grub since coming out of lockdown and was very happy, great service and excellent food, my partner is veggie and they cooked her food to perfection, before lockdown we found it hard to find a place that could cook veggie food properly, well done the gunner 👍👌

Meals not very good. It reminded me of The Walls End pub which in my opinion isnt good. You can taste that its not cooked from fresh and my daughter had a ham toastie which she said the bread was old and not very nice. Staff friendly enough though. Would I go back again? NO is my answer

This was our first visit for 2 meals for. £9.99 my wife and I was greeted by. Lovelly staff and left to browse through the menu. The man serving us was lovelly and helpfull and nice to talk to. My wife had a rhubarb gin. Some thi g she has never tried before but was gorgeous. I had steak a E ale pie which I was expecting our portions to be smaller as they was on the special. This was not. The case. The portions were large superbly. Cooked and veryThe man serving us checked everything was OK without I trudging and was nice to talk to. The pudding is out of this world nice and a massive portion for the price. We will 100 %return and have recommended it to our friends.

The new burger menu. All three of us had Bombay Bird. Both filling and delicious. I’d post a photo but by the time I realised how nice it was I’d eaten it! I’m too full to finish the chips. Tikka sauce was great. The hosts, Will and Joy, are really great as well.My go to lunch venue.April 2021 - At last we are out and about. Joy, Will and staff are as lovely as they can be and the chicken curry burger as good as I remember it. On a scale of 1 to 10 of what I have missed during lock down, this is an 11. My first pulled pint in a year and a half. I am delerious with happiness 😁

We went to Gunner yesterday 4/8/20 for a meal, staff very welcoming. We ordered mixed grill, steak medium rare,oh so disappointing,the blood was running on my husbands plate, I swapped meat with him as you could not cut it,all I got was a mouthful of gristle. The manager asked if everything was alright,I told him about the steak,he said he would get chef ( male chef) to cook some more,we declined. Offered a free sweet to which we again declined,we went there for a nice meal. The chef should have come out and asked what the problem was. This totally ruined our day. We wanted to go there for Christmas as it is in walking distance from where we live. Have been to Gunner before and had no problems with the food. Such a shame.

Called into the Gunner in North Shields on Monday tea time to have some food, it didnt disappoint, it was really nice. We ordered 2 No. fish and chips with peas, the presentation on the paper on the plate was great too. Good value, very tasty and will definitely have it again. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Been today for lunch, got to sit at the window booth, very clean and lots of room, ordered the pulled chicken topped with popcorn chicken sandwich, was absolutely beautiful and very filling, staff also extremely friendly, all smiled and said hello as they passed our table, definitely be going back 👍🏻

Very comfortable pub in North Shields. Great value, great quality food. All 5 of us really enjoyed our meals: steak, gammon, burger and 2 New York chickens.

Went in for a quick bite to eat. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. Overall was very nice only downside was there didnt seem to be much room.

Nice food but law and behold if you tell them they have made a mistake with your food. They are very aggressive in their mannor and make sure you know that they are talking about you behind the bar. They might want to discuss how to take the orders correctly. This has happened a few times now and its out of order and bad practice.

Nice local pub, serves decent food with a large variety of options and the staff are really friendly. One pool table set up right next to bar along with a dart board and lots of Tvs displaying football, f1 and other sports so its a good place to go to watch the match.

Deals and refreshments, food with football. A great space for enjoying a relaxing a evening with a mate a family or the better half. Loved the chicken wings they where beautifully cooked and a great dipping sauce. Staff where busy at match time and the food still came out fast. Ten percent off certain drinks at match time and another Ten percent off if you download the app. Free drink near your birthday with the app makes it feel worth it. Friendly staff been there along time and a thankyou wont go unmissed. Cheers

Reasonably clean and well lit bar, nothing to write home about. Went with friends and we left our drinks half drunk. Not a good pint.

Turned up needing a venue for a wake in two hours, pub said no problem, reserved an area for us, made us all welcome, fed us well for a very reasonable price. Brilliant

Superb service, friendly staff and lots of good offers, particularly for food. Its not really my cup of tea as a pub, preferring ale houses and micro pubs, but for what it does it does it very, very well, especially if youve got a well behaved child.

Me and my husband went for Sunday lunch after hearing so many peoples compliments both of us would never have a meal there again the beef was sliced packet meat the veg was frozen as were the yorkies and portion size was very small and I am not a big eater following chemotherapy
