This place never disappoints. We used to eat there in person on occasion before covid but they became our goto place for takeout in the new covid world and it is great every single time we order here. We are never disappointed. Our main dishes are pepper paneer chettinad, Chole peshwari, Shaam savera, pakoda appetizer, saag paneer, vegetarian platter. All good. I highly recommend

The food here is so good! It was my first time dining in (i usually get takeout). Its more of a banquet hall which I had no idea and was so cool to see!Fast and friendly service. The hostess recommended us getting a mango lasi I believe. It was a mango yogurt drink and it was really good.We went in on a Saturday afternoon and there was a sweet 16 going on in the back area behind the dining room. Just keep in mind since it is more of a banquet/reception type place it may be loud. We could hear the music but it wasnt a big deal.

Have had many times in Guru Palace and today we came back for first time in 2 years of lockdown. .. unfortunately guru palace ‘s dishes weren’t tasting the same . Donno if the chef changed or not, but today’s food was very average :(. Mango lassi was good. Chola Bature was good too. Less oil and very good. Chicken 65 was so average :(. When we come to an Indian restaurant , thinking of Indian taste, you are being served with a chicken 65 which is Chinese based. It was kinda sweet .. totally opposite to what I thought. Schezwan friend rice was also average . Carrot halwa wasn’t sweet :( Paneer/naan was good. Overall an average experience… unlike the guru palace which we have known . About 90$ for all these . Not even worth the money. Disappointed…

I had my reception here for my wedding and I just say, the vibe and people are very nice . Lisa , the owner, always answered my calls ( for about 4 months ) with a polite tone and Always helped to answer my questions . The tablecloths weren’t the cleanest, but I replaced them with my own and or place was gorgeous . Very reasonable price and service ; thank you so much !

Place is good, main course is far better than the starters. Kadhai paneer needs a special mention. Staff is very friendly, helping and soft spoken.

Im a professional photographer, and have shot events at this location. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The food is wonderful. And the lighting adequate. Bring a flash or supplemental lighting, though. The colors are wonderful. Wish the bathroom was larger.

Delicious entrees (spinach kofta is unique and a must-try) and naan are some of the best (paneer kulcha, garlic naan, pudina and latcha paratha) appetizers are not that special so would pass and enjoy the main meal. If you’re dining in, end the meal with their signature mango kulfis!

I liked what we got today. Will definitely try other dishes. I wish there were better descriptions of the dishes though because this white guy will eat anything but appreciates knowing what it is.The samosas were huge and very tasty. I liked the lamb biryani too. Came with three sauces and I didnt know which traditionally goes on what, but I made it work. Roti was good too!

Really amazing food! This place is great if your looking for authentic Indian food while also getting hints of Chinese cuisine. Theyre buffet is amazing with a great variety of foods and at an amazing price. The staff is also ver friendly and helpful. This is also the banquet hall where Im having my bridal shower, and they have great selections of halls for good prices! I have been to parties here before and the food does not disappoint. They recently opened up a beautiful banquet hall that is very big and spacious perfect for a wedding.

My husband and I decided to get married this year and we stumbled across Guru Palace. The price was reasonable and the venue was absolutely stunning. When we booked it, we thought we would have no issues since we booked with Lisa who we felt was genuine and understanding. As the wedding approached, we started having issues with dates for our rehearsal dinner and an event being held the day of our wedding in which we were told we had the entire day to decorate. Boy were we wrong, The owners said no need to worry, we are going to help decorate (1 1/2 hours to be exact and no cleaning measures were in place). My DJ and decorator were left to fend for themselves with no help from their staff. On top of that, the waitstaff we hired from Guru Palace to serve did nothing but clean off the tables so my reception went from a sit down to a buffet,. I am absolutely furious of the treatment we endured up to the day of our wedding. Furthermore, my bartenders pulled me to the side and had me try the soda provided at the venue and they were flat. All my guests complained which made me even more angry, All these owners cared about was money and I will never recommend anyone to do business with them. I gave it 2 stars because how beautiful the venue is but overall I give them a big fat 0.

The food was to die for. The lamb was something out of my dreams, basically manifested goodness. The food was only matched by the service, in which I was greeted and treated almost Kinglike. The server was great and the food he recommended to me was delicious. This is a great place to dine with family and friends. I was accompanied by my kids and they treated my children amazing, even gave them a handful of delicious candy upon leaving. Next time I am in New Jersey, I will definitely be dining here again. Guru is most amazing restaurant I have been to. I have ordered from here at least more than 20 times plus a big party of 16 which I always get amazing service and amazing quality of food. Guru is the only place that give really good quantity of food which no other restaurants gives. Also, guru is extremely busy so, just be patience but that patience will get your great quality of food. I highly recommend this restaurant!! I know I will continue to come here!

Food was very mediocre.The 8oz mango lassi is artificial, they use syrup in it, and they have the audacity to charge $7 for it. It was the worst mango lassi I have ever had.For the price, go somewhere else. I will never return to Guru Palace.

We had our sweet 16 party in guru palace and food was good and lisa was nice in arranging stuffs . But the manager was very rude and disrespectful with guestWe got so angry when guest were complaining. They were just pushing us outside and asking all guest to stand outside . Delicious food, customer friendly staff!!

The worst place to get food from. We ordered samosas from here and oil was dripping so much. They were not even worth eating them. When I called them they said to me that if you don’t like our samosas then don’t order from us. The staff is so rude. Instead of helping to solve the problem then act like as if this is our fault. Would not recommend ordering from here.

This is very authentic Indian restaurant. but my last visit experience was not so good due to extended waiting for the Uber self pickup order. It should be managed well, with such great food and nice amenities, staff should be extra careful with delays it must be informed to customer in advance.. by all means the restaurant is good place to go. I personally will call in advance to avoid this in future

Have to say this is one of the best indian restaurants I have been to if not the best. Guru Palace was perfect in every aspect as soon as we walked in we were greeted politely and the waiters were very respectful and helpful. Our food was on a different level of perfect. We ordered a mixture of non veg and veg and every item came out perfect, it was well cooked and tasted fresh. I met with the owner and management team to praise them very well and credit them for this outstanding food. I was looking to book a party in the near future and the management team showed me the banquet facilities. They have amazing banquet facilities with up to date renovations and nice decor and spacious. The pricing was great also they are definitely fair with everything. I highly recommend Guru Palace if you are looking for authentic tasty indian food and nice banquet facilities!!!!

The google reviews are filled with the owner insulting customers over negative reviews.Extremely rude owner. Used expletives and cursed out my entire family. Do not patronize this restaurant, it is owned by an unreasonable, novice owner who is new to the restaurant business and clearly does not hold customer experience in high regard. My family member posted a negative review, and he responded to the review with insults and threats publicly on Google. Most restaurant owners would respond with a reasonable apology or attempt to rectify the experience. This goes to show what kind of owner runs this restaurant.

Have been here many times before.We kind of liked many times but a very few times we had bad experience.I would say, an expensive Indian restaurant.Fav items so far: Tomato soup, Rumali roti, Khoya kaju Makhani, paneer oe veg Manchuria.We have attended few parties here and were happy with the taste and arrangements for the party.But restroom maintenance is not at all up-to the mark. Hope they will do something about it.

Perfect meal: Started out with crispy complementary paapad, I tried paneer kolhapuri, which was amazing, the naan was soft and delicious, and there was a generous serving of onions on the side for free. Ambience was nice and the servers were attentive, covid conscious and gentle.

Eating at the same places over and over has gotten stale, so when we decided to branch out, we gave Guru a try and it did not disappoint! This place is fantastic for take-out. The menu is pretty interesting and there are a ton of options. We have been looking for a good Indian restaurant in our area. The Gobi Manchurian is so crispy and tastes like vegetarian meat. Also their chili paneer is packed with flavor and spices

We were Group of around 10+ . None of us liked their food. Too spicy for a medium order. Bullet Naan was filled with raw masala in top. We were very precise about not being Spicy. Worst part is tip should be customers choice but they directly added 20% without asking. I eat outside thrice a week and their food was worst ever for any Indian Restaurant in the town. This was my first and last time here. Other part toilet was very bad and not at all cleaned. I wish i could give them 0 but google wont allow me. We went to this restaurant because all the other restaurants were over booked being a Sunday night and this was the only empty restaurant. No wonder why it was empty.

Very disappointed with the experience at this restaurant! The owner was extremely rude and disrespectful to our entire family this past weekend, when we planned to go for dinner. We were forced to leave because of their actions.After the experience, a family member posted a negative review and the owner responded with threatening language and false claims of misbehavior by our party. Would highly recommend to stay away from this restaurant as there are many other options in the area that will treat you much better! I would suggest to go to Rasoi III or another place.

Horrible customer service. This is the second time they have missed items in our order. When we reached home and called about this they have the audacity to say that they put in the item. The manager was rude and his nose was hanging out of his mask. They made our order and we had to drive again to pick it up as they would not deliver when it’s clearly their fault. We are done with this place, missing order is one thing and being rude is totally other.Also when the managers nose is hanging out of mask and you can spot employees with nose out of mask that clearly tells a lot about this place.Save yourself some time and dignity, there are many good indian restaurants who know how to treat customers in the area.

A wide variety of delicious Indian food. Dal Makhni is close to being authentic, malai kofta is generously stuffed, paneer lababdar is balanced though the paneer ought to be more succulent. Their banquet facility is spacious with cheerful, bright lighting and ambient temperature setting. Their staff are warm and attentive. A visit to Guru Palace would surely be enjoyed.

I had a big party at Guru Palace in their newly built Shagun hall. This venue is amazing, awesome lighting and dance floor. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the venue and quickness of the staff. It really made my event organized and super successful. The venue, food, and service were all extremely great and we had guests conveying the same for months after!! Very personable and down to earth staff. I’d definitely recommend Guru Palace for everyone looking for a beautiful venue with all the amenities.

We had a special Lunch catered for our office holiday party- very nice presentation! I know I was a last minute request and we could not have been happier. Their chicken methi malai was very tasty. I really appreciate the changes and substitutions in the menu and the manager was very responsive to our requests. I just cant say enough about the entire experience, from the initial arrangement to the clean up.They made our special day truly.

I had my bridal shower and my wedding at GURU PALACE Banquet hall and everything a bride dreams of on her wedding day was accomplished. The food taste great, the service is amazing with happy workers and great attitude, the customer service that lisa provides is great and he makes it easy to select from the venue and the colors always look great and organized. All my guests loved the service and had a blast on my both parties. I highly recommend GURU PALACE Banquet hall for any party either minor or major. And I know where I will be hosting my future events. Thumbs up!

We had a small get together at our place and we gave order for Samosa, Veg Manchurian, Saag Paneer, yellow daal, and Biryani. All five items were awesome. Our guest loved it and quantity was more then enough for group of 25 people with medium size tray.Thank you guys for awesome service and great food.

Great place to visit, very good ambiance which is very attractive which will attract many people. The service is very and while coming to food the appetizers , tandoori items were amazing.I would recommend this place to my friends as well.

Great. It was my moms birthday so, without be asked, the waiters got together and sang Happy birthday and play music over the loud speakers. It was a welcomed surprised and it lifted our night up higher. The food is just great. You would think that because of the slightly smaller portions, the food would not be filling but to my surprise- the food was very rich. The location is good. Right next to regal and other places. The price were reasonable.

Around 8 years back we were driving thru NJ to MD and stopped by at Guru Palace. No one at the restaurant except for me my wife and a couple of other tables. Ordered Biryani among other things. Microwaved biryani given in a clay pot dry and smelly meat. Well it was bad then and it has grown worst now as of May 2021. Ordered Paneer pasanda got some green flavorless curry with frozen green peas and no chunks of paneer whatsoever. Naan was rubbery and nothing to talk about the lamb seekh kabab. Tell me one thing, who adds red food color to the seekh kabab? Wait there is more, the mixed pakoda stale, cold and the besan was raw. These guys were a disappointment then and they are a disappointment now too. I thought the world is getting small and now that we have everything available in the market to cook anything Indian we should get good Indian food if not the best. But NJ has become a bloody joke when it comes to food.

Went there with my family for Father’s Day. We made a reservation for 20 people and everything was perfectly arranged. I recommend this restaurant!

Tried this food for the second time, and still it was disgusting. Seriously dont know how they are still in business. Worst tasteless food, in the area. Still has not improved one bit. They have the audacity to call their customer a HYPOCRITE!I havent been here, but I called them up to enquire about a banquet reservation. With a simple polite query if we can have an event without a server to keep it a closed event in light of Covid, and the manager started blasting, saying they dont need this hypocrisy in their restaurant, and the outside people are bringing covid to them.Extremely unprofessional, Ive never had such an experience in my life.

Tried their chicken malai kabab and chicken tikka, both were delicious. The paneer biriyani was also perfect with spice level.

We had a recent lunch party at Guru palace. The owners are sweet and nice to talk to. We confirmed 2 times for our booking and again a 3rd time for theme. On the day of party, we walked into with everything ready. They even put a sign since we were in the smaller hall. Food was good even though starters were too spicy. I don;t remember telling them about the spiciness so I give them that point. I have only 3 major complaints and reason for 3 star review.1. Womens washroom flush was not working but they repaired it. They promised us DJ, but all we got was a faulty music system. We could hear the music but the lyrics/sound(not sure how to explain) was low. We could not make-out what song was playing. That actually spoiled the whole party for us. Last the cake was cut up slowly and brought very late. All our guests were asking where is cake? That was embarrassing. But I guess, you get what you pay for. Will I don another party here, not sure. Lastly, we were charged a service tax on top of agreed price, which was not communicated earlier so this came as a surprise.

Best and most reasonably priced restaurant in North Brunswick.They have the best tandoori, indo Chinese dishes and many more.I have eaten here so many times and they never disappoint me.Highly recommend their chicken manchurian.

We ordered Veg Manchurian ( Medium Spicy) and Chicken chilly garlic fried rice ( Spicy) today. Looks like the chef mixed up the orders. The Fried rice had barely any taste. Had to add Chings secret Schezwan chutney to it. And the Manchurian was extra spicy, the kids could barely eat it. Also the Veg Kadhai ordered last time also lacked some flavor which they generally have. I usually like Guru Palace. Hopefully next time would be better.

The servers working with professional manners with covid -19 precautions. Nice place/function hall to rent for Indian events

I had attended the Sweet 16 @ Shagun hall in Guru Palace.What a beautiful place!! I love the chandeliers and their lightings.The venue staffs was very attentive and answer all the questions I needed for food selections. So happy that Guru Palace has this new event space! I will have my future events here. FYI their food better and hygiene place especially compare to all the indian hall that I attended.

One of the worst experience to try out biryani. There is no flavor of biryani. While eating feel like dry rice with some mix of chilli powder. When I called owner to give some feedback. Responds saying, this is how they make biryanis. Very Rude, dont know how to behave with customer.

We have ordered paneer 65 ,chiken biryani and rasmalai..taste was awesome ,not overpriced,good ambience and staff was courteous.Though we asked for spicy thats why Biryani was too spicy but that was our mistake better we could have asked for medium spicey..surely comeback again to try other dishes

Ordered delivery for the first time and the Chicken Roganjosh was nice and spicy as I ordered. Everything was packaged nicely and was very delicious. Highly recommended.

Cant express the disappointment in words. They were very rude, very very unprofessional, all our Guests were disappointed with the way they treated us. Overall very very disappointement from all of us.

I placed a large order for takeout to try different things. Nothing was great. Meat was not high quality. Three of the dishes were supposed to come with rice, but we weren’t given any rice.

Worst food. They didn’t even clean the vegetables. When we complained to manger about it he didn’t even bothered to apologize.

Unfortunately, with much regret I believe this is the worst biryani I ever had. It is not fun as they claim nor it is the Sindhi style biryani. It’s like basically low grade basmati rice cooked with some biryani spices and throw overcooked chicken breasts cubes and stir fried and packed.I hope they improve over time.

Cant beat the lunch buffet price! Great selections of vegetarians food and meat lovers and very tasty. This place for most part is for banquet hall that you would rent out for parties or events. Words arent enough to describe how phenomenal the experience was. From the onset, the owners were wonderfully accommodating and the chef ensured that our food was on point. Guests raved about the food, and we appreciated how professionally and kindly they handled our dietary restrictions—Our event decorator, went above and beyond. At 2 AM the night before the event, she made last minute changes, providing us with a proper (and beautiful) velvet partition down the center of the hallway as a solution to a concern we had. We trusted her with recommendations for the stage and she delivered beautifully. On the day of the event, they respectfully kept our faith in mind and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The event went on without a hitch and guests were impressed by the food, the waitstaff, the accommodations, and the way they catered to our faith and allowed us the best experience in a beautiful place. Cant thank Guru Banquet enough, from manager to staff.

They microwave their food, there are spots of barbecue sauce on plates sometimes, if I could rate lower I would. Service is absolutely horrendous please stay away, they need so much training and help.
