We ordered chilly chicken dry, omg! It was spicy and delicious! My husband ordered vegetarian Manchurian, also spicy and yummy, the noodles were something special, great taste and different to something I have had ate before. The lady who took the order was so nice and she helped us explaining the varied menu.We definitely will visit them again.

Best Indo-Chinese restaurant, food is awesome. Owners and staff are the best and very friendly. We have been eating at Chopstick since they opened first restaurant on Oak-Tree Road, Iselin in 2002-03.And a special thanks for feeding us thru the pandemic. Waiting eagerly for indoor dining to open.If you have not tried their food, you should, because its the best Indo-Chinese food ever.

Vegetarian review and only eaten once.tldr; The food - all of it that I ordered at this location was excellent - even after a 25 minute drive + plating back at home. In fact, its better than most Indian Chinese Ive ordered in NJ. Highlight: Devil of Heaven (dry)Note: First, Shani Gupta at the restaurant, did a great job ensuring with recommendations and ensuring that their heat levels are real. Theyre not Americanized (at least not for my orders). The Schezwan fried rice, medium, had a good kick to it for a change and was reddish orange instead of the typical pink served most in places. The Schezwan fried rice, Schezwan noodles (called hot garlic noodles here), Manchurian gravy and chilli paneer (dry) were all excellent.I got my noodles spicy and they did the right job - giving a good amount of heat. The noodles themselves were tasty and perfectly cooked al dente. The Schezwan fried rice has corn and peas - so be warned about it but it was otherwise excellent. The Manchurian gravy was the shining item here - surpassing our expectations. The Manchurian balls, are not really balls in the traditional sense - but more like bhajjiyas but so very tasty and juicy even from the inside. This must be the signature Calcutta version of the Indo-Chinese dish. The chilli paneer dry dish - is again slightly different from what I am accustomed to...BUT it was fantastic! It was the highlight with my son and it also has a good kick. If youre used to the brownish-redding paste/sauce around the dry chilli paneer - then this is not like that but is very tasty. The Hot and Sour soup was VERY good and the sweet corn soup was as expected. Next time I will be trying the Manchow.I am not sure why some people have low reviews but I need to try this place a couple of more times with some non-standard/safe dishes next to gauge them.

The heart of this place is the owner. Very welcoming & accommodating. Food was great- delicious indo chinese. Food for pickup was quick. Food tasted yummy even after a 30 minute drive home. My kids (2 & 10) ate it up in minutes including the veggies that was a big win. Location is undergoing renovations but cant wait for it to open for dining.

I had a family gathering and tried two other restaurants nearby, one of which took the money and didnt prepare the order. Chopstick III was nearby to one of those restaurants and I just dove in because it was the nearest. I was so tired and fed up, I was only able to mumble random food-related words. The staff were smart and sharp enough to understand what I would like. I ended up ordering broccoli chicken, sesame chicken, and noodles as take out. Everybody loved the food, including me. They were delicious, juicy. The service was timely, and rescued me from a lot of stress today. People were as helpful as they could be. I will definitely return. Thank you very much!

I ordered the chili garlic fried rice, hakka noodles, Hong Kong chicken, and drums of heaven for pickup through grubhub. My father went to pickup the food. The food was ready when he arrived and the person at the front completely ignored my father for almost 10 minutes continuously talking phone orders not even asking him what he was picking up. When my father confronted him, the man was extremely rude to him. After that unpleasant experience we were hoping that the food would be good. However the food was a huge disappointment. The overpriced drums of heaven were coated in batter that was still RAW. It was basically inedible. The fried rice was laughably disappointing. The noodles and the Hong Kong chicken were decent though.Overall, never will we order from here again.

I have order several times from this location previously. I had family come over for dinner so ordered take out. Out of the several dishes, one dish we order was chili paneer. The whole family mention the dish does not taste right. After further tasting, the paneer was bad. Called the restaurant to inform them. They denied the issue and mentioned they never had an issue with paneer and they will get back to me(never received a call back). Bad customer service!

Some people are honestly very rude when speaking on this place. I have almost always had a positive experience with this place, and even when the interactions may have been negative, the food has more than always made up for it. The staff has never been anything but friendly during these tough times, and pre-covid, the owner has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. I hope people dont listen to the small majority of people who write negative reviews just to hate. This is a time to support small businesses and I hope more will join me in supporting great ones like Chopstix.

One of the most horrible experiences in terms of food quality and it made us really angry, especially given all the Covid situation where restaurants should in-fact be reducing prices and focusing on quality to boost their business. We ordered 5 appetizers - 2 vegetarian, 2 chicken and 1 fish appetizer. Firstly, the waiter didnt take up our order correctly. I had to make him repeat it 3 times to ensure that he got it down properly. Given the expensive items on the menu where they are charging us 3-4$ overboard per dish as opposed to some other much better restaurants in the vicinity, we expected the quality to be at-least half-decent. The food was prepared and packed in less than 10 minutes and it was as if they simply micro-waved frozen preparations and handed it to us. When we went home, heated the food again and ate the appetizers, it turned out to be quite horrible at all levels. The chicken was really stale, 1 of the chicken dishes was way too spicy to be edible in any way and some people thought the smell of fish was quite weird in 1 of the preparations as well. The vegetarian dishes were not as disappointing to say the least but they were still quite ordinary in taste and freshness. We have constantly been trying since 3 to 4 days to get our money back for such stale food but havent found any luck so far. They keep telling us that the manager will call us the next day but we havent found our way to the owner yet. I hope this review helps others make a more informed choice to completely avoid eating anything from this place.**THE OWNER IS LYING - WE CANT TAKE THE FOOD OUT FROM THE TRASH AND RETURN IT TO HIM, THE FOOD WAS STALE AND HORRIBLE. WE NEVER ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT, WE ARE ASKING FOR OUR MONEY BACK FOR SUCH STALE FOOD WHICH HE PREPARED IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. MORE SO, THE OWNER HAS AMPLE TIME TO RESPOND TO OUR REVIEWS BUT STILL HAS NO COURAGE TO SPEAK TO US ON THE PHONE EVEN ONCE**

I dont think there is any other indo Chinese restaurant that has such a huge variety of menu. Their taste always brings be back to the authentic taste found in small restaurants in India that serve up no frills indo-chinese food. I always love their American Chopsuey and Paneer Chilli dry. The food is reasonably priced for the level of quality and quantity. I would suggest that all patrons tell them the level of spiciness, because their medium is quite spicy if youre not used to it.The service is nothing special, and there is nothing wrong with that. I come here for the delicious food, and Chopstick full fills that requirement.

I dont usually write reviews but then my experience has been so bad with this place that I want to save anyone else who is planning to try the food here !! If I could give them zero stars, I will do so. Let me start with my order ! Chicken Garlic (one of the very basic Indo-Chinese recipes), Vegetable Manchurian Gravy (again pretty basic), Cauliflower Manchurian and Fried Rice (doesnt get easier than that). My Cauliflower Manchurian was so spicy that one could choke to death eating that. The only flavor in the dish was that of green chilies (as if its the cheapest ingredient and use as much as you can). Secondly, Chicken Garlic - sour , sour , sour - I dont know how many spoons of vinegar was used. Vegetable Manchurian - Oily, overuse of soy sauce - just yuck ! and finally, uncooked rice = fried rice. I was so mad that I even called the restaurant and reported the issue. I was told that they use organic ingredients, have been running the restaurant for 15 years (I dont know how that is even relevant) and its a family owned business (for all I care). I was also told that the chef is from a reputed college and has worked elsewhere in a restaurant of notable reputation etc. blah blah blah ! I paid $ 54 (very high for insipid food) and had to trash all of it and eat bread for dinner ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !!!!
