The doctor to whom we were referred to denied treatment to my father giving reason that he is not fit for chemo.. we also know that prognosis of small cell carcinoma is not at all satisfactory? But he should have tried to give him chemo as this type of cancer though in extensive stage responds to chemo..we checked with other oncologists outside tata memorial.. they checked his health and then they assured us that they can give chemo after making him stable.. accordingly he already completed his first cycle of chemo, touch wood with better performance...
