When I took admission here so I thought this college is not gud for me bcz I live in ggn so its very far from me but by metro its not far so I was coming everyday and who do not about this clg so dont imagine that its not gud clg. Its gud clg so overall my experience was great professors are very gud but official staff is very rude which is ok bcz they have lots of bourdon. I am gonna tell uh that now clg is growing day by day clg has lots of societies, great infrastructure lots of greenery cafeteria has been good when I was coming cafeteria was not good if you are going to take admission here its gonna be rocking Ill not say that I proud of being slcians but I have learnt lot of things from Shyam LAL college ❣️❣️❣️

BA(Pass-Pol. Science & Economics) completed between 1991-94 from SLC (Evening non-coed) as I had been practising 1 year(1991-92) English Shorthand Certificate Course from Institute of Commercial Practice(IPC, now known as Bhai Parmanand Institute of Commercial Practice & Business Studies), Madhuban, Shakarpur. Barring few, SLC Evening faculty was top-notch, understandable and cooperative encouraging college students to go for vocational studies. SLC Evening Hockey Team was ranked in top 2 teams amongst DU Hockey Teams. Some alumini students of morning shift made to IAS. Playground was very large. Students union office bearers (SLC Evening) were very helpful. Principal, SLC Evening was very strict and never encouraged hooliganism. I really miss my colleagues and SLC Evening classes.Lastly in the 2nd academic year (1992-93), I came to know that most of my SLC Evening colleagues and seniors had been taking their classes in SLC Morning shift of course with the prior permission of Principal, SLC Morning but shocked to learn that most of them were attending classes so as to get the attention of their female counterparts because itl give them high in their educational and future pursuits. Personally speaking, I really deprecate this sort of stratum that getting a raving beauty attraction can gave manhood any high in their pursuits. Such an idea was and shall always remain baffling for me. Yeah getting beautiful female attraction can encourage you to some limited extent in your educational and professional pursuits but cant mould you from an average to superior breed. To me this notion of getting company of female attraction and charm is just a detraction and not at all a motivation. Now SLC (Evening) is co-ed since long.

Feeling well to become graduate from here, this was my dream to educate from DU and Shyam lal college feels as well

I went there on official work and the college park was empty As if students are not allowed to sit there, toilets are very poor no hygiene in toilets. Canteen food is limited and in-edible. Don’t know about teaching staff but I think they are very smart, college students may become staff later on.

Its near welcome metro station on red line. Youll have to change for it from Kashmere gate if going by yellow line. It is situated at a walking distance from welcome metro station. The college is good for graduation but the infrastructure is not so good but the work is in progress to improve the infrastructure. Most of the teachers are very nice and supportive. It does not have a badminton court but has a football or hockey ground and volleyball ground.

One of the best canteens among colleges of DU. Economic and good quality, tasty food is offered. Rates are nominal but they do not compromise at all with the quality or taste. You will get almost everything here. Veg is served here. You can also have a great variety of food from basic starters to proper lunch meals.is no more cheaper but yeah its good and I think non hinduiet would review this better than me.Good options of food available as compared to other canteens in DU. Pasta, rolls, shakes, juices everything! Thumbs up

Such an ordinary college.. Affiliated with delhi University but very bad management.. Some professors are good but most of the professor teaching skill like they are teaching intermediate students.. Very bad management so irregular and library always closed.. College ground is so nice but i will not recommend to study in this college specially in evening college

I had taken admission in SLC in 2019 till now according to me this college is very good for me and it provide all common facilities.further,it is come under top 50 colleges in india according to NIRF.furthermore,In delhi university my college team is No.1 team among 80+ colleges of du in hockey.To sum up it is good college.

Its a very nice college. Respected lecturers do their best to educate the young blood. yes the college needs some more facilities like infrastructure , a bigger ground, improvement in sports participation etc. but overall its a very nice college to study in.

No doubt the teaching staff are well qualified but the majority students being Hindi-medium, made my three years stint at the college a harrowing experience.For a new-to big-city-life English-medium student like me with no prior exposure to the language, & Delhis alien weather I barely survived the three long years of my undergraduate courses entirely through self-studies, without the essential lectures which was delivered in Hindi.Add this with a noncooperative faculty members, ( Internal Marks which constitute a colossal 25% marks), despite joining the college football teams it hardly gets me 13 at best that too for only 2/3 subjects and mostly 6 to 9 from 25, despite submitting all my home-assignments & appearing in all the internal-exams!That means i had to really work my skin-off to pass the exams & score big from the board exams which constitute 75% marks.
