The only Janam Sakhi that supports the Kartik birth tradition is that of Bhai Bala, which states that Nanak was born on the full moon day of the Kartik month. Bhai Bala is said to have obtained Nanaks horoscope from Nanaks uncle Lalu, and according to this document, Nanak was born on a date corresponding to 20 October 1469 CE. However, Bhai Balas Janam Sakhi was actually written by members of the Handali sect, and attempts to depict the founder of their sect as superior to Nanak. According to a superstition prevailing in contemporary northern India, a child born in the Kartik month was believed to be weak and unlucky, which explains why the work states that Nanak was born in that month.
Very peaceful and spiritual place. The Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji once stayed here. Located in Nanakpura (South Moti Bagh), this Gurudwara is lit up with very beautiful lights in the evening. The nearest metro stations are South Campus and Moti Bagh on the Pink Line. Apart from this, it can also be reached from Mahatma Gandhi Road (Ring Road).
I feel blessed to be able to attend shabd kiran at this place

Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib (cordinates (28.585833°N 77.171396°E)) is situated on the Ring Road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg) in Delhi city between Dhaula Kuan and RK Puram (Shanti Path) south of the intersection with National Highway 8. Once Guru Gobind Singh Ji camped at this site with his army. Earlier it was known as Mochi Bagh and later the name was changed to Moti Bagh. An old story relates that the Guru Gobind Singh Ji, an accomplished archer, shot two arrows from a colony of cobblers in Moti Bagh which hit the Divan (throne or bed) of Prince Muazzam (later Bahadur Shah). The Guru Gobind Singh Jis first arrow announced his arrival in Delhi and the second arrow carried a chit saying, It is not magic but skill of archery. Bahadur Shah was said to be sitting in the Red fort at the time. Seeing the arrow strike, Bahadur Shah took this as a miracle. The story continues that a second arrow landed in the Divans left foot with a note (chit) pointing out that the Emperor was wrong in labelling the sudden appearance of an arrow in his cot as a miracle, as the note stated that this was not a miracle but a display of the Gurus skill in archery. The Emperor was said to be so impressed with this that he immediately acknowledged Guru Sahibs supremacy.
Very nice place to mattha teka

Place for all people. Best place to get peace. All rich and poor are equal. Once I had been to Gurudwara and I even had food. To my surprise many rich people were having food and many poor people. Everybody is allowed to have. No religious barriers. Only humanity works here and this a great place for foreigners to see how India is secular in a closure. I loved that place. I loved its food (prasad). I loved the people around. It made me realise how we all are equal and one. Namaste! Praise humanity.
Gives A sense of peace and relaxation😌😌

Gurdwara Moti Bagh is associated with the tenth Guru, Guru Sri Gobind Singh. He camped here during his first visit to Delhi. He had come to Delhi in response to the request made by Prince Muazzam who sought his help in the battle of succession for the throne of Delhi. This happened in 1707, when the struggle for succession started due to the sudden death of Emperor Aurangzeb in the Deccan. Bhai Nand Lal, a great scholar and poet of Persian, a devotee of Guru ji, requested the Gurus help in assisting Prince Muazzam, the eldest son of Aurangzeb, in his claim to the Mughal Throne. The deohri from where Guru Gobind Singh shot the arrows has been preserved and the Guru Granth Sahib has been installed there as a mark of respect to the superb archery of the Guru. Even now from the top of the deohri (gate) one can see the skyline of Delhi and the Red Fort at a distance of about eight miles.

The world of Delhi may seem far away. But now the roar of an elevated metro train just outside the temple jolts the sensibilities of worshippers for a few seconds. Before calm can again be restored. The granthi perched by the palki is slowly fanning the holy book, pausing briefly now and then for fleeting seconds before starting again.Meanwhile, the harsh daylight entering the prayer hall gets muffled as it streams through the beautiful red curtains, but is still intense enough to remind the supplicants of the unyielding world outside.Gurdwara Moti Bagh is associated with the tenth Guru, Guru Sri Gobind Singh.
