This is a place where foreigners visit. They take an image of Indian govt offices and behavior from there. It needs utmost attention in terms of facilities. Take your own chairs guys since they dont have only 4-5 chairs outside for the visitors to sit, so the visitors who are mostly foreigners wait standing. Wait time per person is around 30-60 min. Out of my 2 visits, once I even saw the visitors frustrated and shouting at the doorman for not being attended for so long. Not a big fan of the place. Even in front of me an employee lady did mistake 5 times in writing 3 lines of address. Still I am giving 3 stars because the employee who handled my case was polite and I got the OCI in 4 months(covid times). Keep in touch with them through calls atleast on weekly basis to take updates on your case.Best of luck !

They aren’t bad people. Indian beraucracy is suffocating. Patience is key... Try to understand EXACTLY the process you have to go thru to avoid confusion, these things do sometimes take time though. In the end, if it is an emergency, they will help you. Just keep a cool head. That being said, I have seen a blatant anti African sentiment in the building. A horrible Indian women who came in YELLING at a couple of African visitors (that she had never seen before) didn’t even look at me who was right next to them because I am white. This happened multiple times with the same woman. Could be just one ugly racist, I wasn’t there long enough to see if the whole place is like that. Really awful episode to see.

Uneducated person who doesnt even know how to talk to a female n government makes such person to sit there for us. My file got closed and upon asking him the reason , he was asking me what do I know , etc. When I asked him sternly of whats the meaning of idk since u r an officer n should guide me, he asked me to leave the office.. Such offices would never change in India n thts y its image outside is this due to such pathetic guys who feel their tiny ego is hurt if questioned by female. It felt he hated foreigners n was sitting on tht chair only only to vent out his angers on us as if we did something bad to him. Such officers shouldnt be there at all if cant help a distress foreigners or others.

For exit Visa Tourists Going through an adoption.1) don’t bother trying to fill out application online. Go to office between 10-4 and two guys outside on a laptop/scanner will assist you for 200-400 inr. Make sure you bring all documents and pictures required. Great guys. Leave your passport with them ( don’t worry ) to place yourself in line may take 1 hour.2. Man on a desk will give you a white paper to authorize you to enter the office if you need s rush order. Plead your case to him.2. Officers inside are not very organized so be patient. They are all working hard and will help you if you show a need. The office is open later then 3:30 published but may not let you in .4. Online payment can be made with a cc using Axis bank.5. They will send an email to Cara who needs to respond regarding authentication of NOC. May have to go to Cara office to expedite process. 2nd floor to the left. Google it. 20 mins away from Frro office.

They produce a very bad image of India in front of all foreign nationals. Even staff dont know the right procedure. They should be shame on themselves. Firstly, the moment you enter into the reception, the looks of the waiting area is unimaginable( old broken chairs, dirty ambience)-- doesnt look like we are in a office which is representing India to rest of the World. Secondly, the lower level people like peon and clerk are extremely rude. They do not even know how to behave-- lack of basic etiquette and manners. I went in to the building to seek someone s help as I reached on time and still no human being could be seen over there. The guy was chaprassi kind of person and very rudely told me to get out and wait outside for my turn. Then a clerk behaved in the same rude way. He was giving tokens to everyone but the way he was checking everyones passport and other documents seemed as if there are bunch of unauthorized people came in for free ration :)Once this all is over and l met the officer the experience was okay. The website sucks! They dont stick to the information that they provide. So, be prepared to give out more copies of the documents then it was asked online. Better talk to the officer over the phone and then go with proper documents as I did the same. The only good thing that I can say that the officer over the phone is very nice and helpful and takes the stress out of you. Another officer inside the office building is coperative too.

If you want to lose faith in all things Indian, deal with the FRRO. Such a shambles. The renewal of my employment visa had to have 29 PDF attachments, and each one had to be less than 1 MB. I had to pay a graphic designer to minimise the files, otherwise I couldnt stay in India. Its like the GoI dont want foreign investment and tax money, and make a point of making bureaucracy for foreigners who want to invest in India difficult. Even Indian friends of mine roll on the floor laughing when I recount stories of the FRRO. Such a joke, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Review №99

This is mixed review of various things involved. Please note that I had visited this place for a OCI creation. My experience is based on OCI process.1. Website: 1/5 stars: The website to apply online OCI is horrible and outdated. Even the information on the site is wrong. tells wrong documentation and wrong fees amount. Request you to call the helpline before starting to get more accurate information and documents. The way site UX is also horrible, asks you to login for each transaction.2. Helpline: 4/5 stars. Called the OCI help-desk and found good and relevant information. Person on phone was nice and informative.3. Waiting area at FRRO: 0/5. The waiting area outside is a torture and give a bad image. the floor was not clean, chairs were not arranged. it was peak summers in DEL and place did not have working fans (forget AC). I saw many foreigners (as this is FRRO) sitting around and sweating. with no clue on what to do next.4. Clerk to give tokens: 1/5: when you enter here you need to get a token for a clerk. Whose job is to look at information (form/passport) and give you an entry token. The clerk thought of himself as IAS officer. arguing with people about their visa/ status etc. Many people were getting annoyed. His job is to simply issue token rather then interviewing people.5. Security guard 4/5: Nice to talk once you have token.6. OCI officer 5/5: to my surprise I found the OCI officer very helpful and nice. No attitude, he was able to explain the process clearly. I had to create a new DD (due to wrong info in website). He guided me to a nearby bank and helped in all possible ways he could for my application submission. He was the only good part in entire episode.7. Guys in waiting room for photocopy/print etc 4/5 stars: the guys are working non-stop from morning to evening with couple of laptop and sub-standard scanner/printer. They try their best to be efficient with limited resources. They are little unorganized, so do not wait in a queue, just speakup your job and they will do.Hence overall 3* rating. Please not that this is a pure government office. Set your expectation accordingly, the experience will be less painful.Other handy things to keep in mind:1. Take multiple photocopies (esp your photo ID) with you.2. In case you are stuck with DD issues there is syndicate bank in next building (first floor). This is also pure Govt bank, so good-luck getting anything done on time.3. Carry pen, good cellphone with internet. So that you can revisit online changes on phone.4. Bring your own water bottle and packed food (sandwich/poori etc). You never know how long will you be stuck there. There is one small canteen with bad food.
