Serene place. Ideal for a picnic with friends and family. Do carry your mat and chairs and few games if youre planning to visit. The entry is not free and youre charged Rs. 40 to enter. Apart from that the food is really costly, so carry your own stuff if youre not planning on spending much. Youll occasionally spot peacocks and tiny rainbows. Worth a visit.

And parking is also available which is rs100.And for a person of age 60 or more, the tickets are half the price. We saw a peacock as well, and plucked two-three guavas from the trees. It was beautiful with a lot of different types of flowers, there were swings as well.Beautiful place for a picnic.Has a coffee/tea shop and there are also a few tables and chairs arranged for people who can not sit on the grass.Benches and dustbins are available all over.It is also DOG FRIENDLY.

Beautiful place but entry is not free.Rs. 40/- per head entry. Rs. 100/- for a car (4 hrs). Some shocking rules by the authorities although its a Heritage park and the property of GOI but ruled by Aga Khan Trust. Illogical rules are - Pets are allowed but human kids are not allowed to play any sport in the park. You can make videos or click photos but Tripod is not allowed. Tracks are made but cycling is not allowed.

The verdant expanse that is Sunder Nursery garden is worth visiting for a well spent leisurely late afternoon, even if it is not winter. These last few days of August in Delhi can be really sultry, and also somewhat unpredictable in terms of the possibility of rains. Still, as soon as the sun goes down, the garden cools down as well; and the generous greenery with majestic trees and frequent water bodies help make it even more pleasant and peaceful. The nursery itself is closed on Sundays and holidays but the garden is open everyday from 7 am to 7 pm. Parking is inside the garden and it costs Rs 75-100 for 4 hours, depending on the day of the week. And if you feel hungry from all that walking and lazying around, head for the fabulous FabCafe! But how is it? Well, for that, youve got to read a separate review:)

Delhi’s biggest secret – Sunder Nursery – that is touted as Delhi’s Central Park. Its revival story is as remarkable as its five centuries-old histories. Thanks to the incredible sustainable restoration work done by The Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) in collaboration with the CPWD and SDMC, this urban oasis has risen from ruins to become the green lungs of Delhi. A decade of painstaking restoration work has resulted in a 90-acre biodiversity park dotted with 20 historical monuments, 300 tree species, 80 bird species, 40 butterfly species, two amphitheatres, a bonsai enclosure, a peafowl zone and plenty more. There are 20 historical monuments (more than double of Lodhi Garden). Six UNESCO World Heritage sites are a part of this historical complex – the Sunder Burj, Lakkarwala Burj, Sunderwala Mahal, Mirza Muzaffar Hussain’s Tomb, Batashewala Mahal and an unknown Mughal Tomb.Almost 100 meters away from the main entry stands Sunder Burj, a 16th-century tomb with star-shaped patterns on the roof and intricate inscriptions on its walls. On the other side of Sunder Burj lies the 500-meter-long water canal (similar to the Taj Mahal at Agra). This Persian style Central Vista of the park is adorned with full Mughal regalia – ten handcrafted lotus-shaped marble fountains, gorgeous star-shaped flowerbeds, and sandstone benches. You can choose the healthy food options at Fab Cafe, the Fabindia chain’s offering built around the concept of conscious eating, with no refined sugars or oils. You can either sit and eat in the café or carry an eco-friendly meal to sit and enjoy anywhere in the massive park. Fab Café is definitely among the best outdoor cafes in Delhi for brunch, if not among the best food places in Delhi.

I recommend definitely to go with group or with the family to spent time here. This would a great option for a picnic spot type outing with kids. The FabCafe is there to serve delicious beverages and some snacks.🥤🍿🥪🍕🍟 The public toilet, car parking and drink water are some benifits that cant be ignored in such hot & humid conditions 😬The charges for an adult is ₹40.0 as on the date of publishing this post.
