Lalita Shastri ji was the wife of the Lal Bahadur Shastri who was the second Prime Minister of India (1964-1966). In making of a person there is a woman behind him. In making of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the contribution of Lalita jee was immense and plentiful. She was born in 1910 and died in 1993. She was from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. As per Wikipedia, Today Lal Bhadur Shastri Memorial run by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust, is situated next to 10 Janpath the official residence of her husband as prime minister, at 1, Motilal Nehru Place, New Delhi. She Founded Shastri Sewa Niketan. Sunil Shastri is its chairman nowadays. Lalita Shastri died in 1993 in New Delhi. Anil Shastri, one of their sons, is a former Lok Sabha member. The memorial of Lalita Jee is adjacent to his Husband in the same campus. Salute to the soul.
