One of the most beautiful places in Delhi. I am personally an admirer of Dr. Kalam and visiting the memorial presented in such a good and modern manner attracted me a lot. It had a documentary running and the views of students on Kalam. Quotes by Kalam were hanging on the pillars and it had a beautiful statue just at the entrance and the centre of the museum as well. The place is nicely lit and beautiful planned depicting his entire journey and achievements. His contribution to india are commendable not only as a scientist but as a human being as well.

A must visit for young students. Its located within the premises of Dilli Haat, lNA. The museum was started in 2016. It is dedicated to President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalams incredible and inspirational life and works.Once you enter you may find the place to be a boring collection of paintings and pictures, but once you start reading the captions and the story behind those pictures, you wont stop till you have read them all. Such is the life of the great Missile Man of India. Place is dotted with inspirational quotes by the President and others. Some personal items like clothing are also put on display. You surely will leave the place thoroughly motivated.

This museum is one of the best initiative of Delhi Tourism to keep the legacy of Peoples President and the best part is that its entry is absolutely free. It has collection of personal items such as cloths, utensils, notes, books and awards of Late President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

A small but informative museum dedicated to the legend Scientist and Teacher. Despite purposefully located near Delhi haat to draw more visitors, it failed in this. Must for parents to take their school going children to this place.

Its in Delhi Hatt, INA. This is my favourite place to visit. Delhi Hatt we usually go for eat and enjoy state festivals. Believe me its the safest place in Delhi to visit with family. You will always get nice people around you. Smoking and drinking free zone. Drinkers will hate it. For rest of all its the best family place and have some nice eat zones of different states of India.

This memorial is dedicated to former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. It was built by Delhi government in 2016 and here, you can find artefacts and belongings of Kalam Sir.The memorial is present inside the complex of Delhi Haat INA. If you are visiting solely this memorial, then you dont need to buy entry ticket. The ticket is for visiting Delhi Haat.It is adjacent to INA metro station. Also, if you are coming from personal vehicle, then there is a paid parking area in front of the memorial.Here, you can spend around 30-40 minutes to see the entire museum.Monday remains closed and timings are 10.30 AM to 6.30 PM.

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam; 15 October 1931 – 27 July 2015) was an aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was intimately involved in Indias civilian space programme and military missile development efforts.[1] He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology.[2][3][4] He also played a pivotal organisational, technical, and political role in Indias Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by India in 1974

The memorial/museum dedicated to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam is situated at the back end of Dilli Haat, INA. Befitting his image as a peoples President, it is all simplicity, self-effacement, and dignity. To start with, it is very easy to miss it. Entering Dilli Haat from the main entrance, one has to walk at least 150-200 metres; then on reaching the Tamil Nadu eatery(on the left), one has to take a right turn and a little ahead, a left turn. Next to the last shop, there is an unmarked exit( even here, there is no signboard?). Once you come through it, there is a small, yellow signboard on the wall directing you to the memorial. You follow it and it leads to another entry which opens into a courtyard. (The back exit of Dilli Haat is there opposite to it, on the right side). The front of the memorial has a sculpture of Dr. Kalaam standing with some school children. The main entrance to the memorial is just behind it. The museum is well lit and large; and thoughts of Dr. Kalaams memory being sidelined or neglected, immediately evaporate; there are umpteen photos, paintings on his life, and quotes of Dr Kalaam on the walls. There are various exhibits in glasss cases containing books,awards, citations, mementos received by him in in his career, his few suits, etc pointing to his scholarly and spartan lifestyle. Roaming around through the museum, you can see pictures of his DRDO-scientist phase, depictions of his school days etc. There are also many paintings, drawings made by school children as a tribute to him. You get to see the various sides of his personality, that is scientist, student, teacher, leader and statesman and a life spent learning, teaching, inspiring and leading by example. One gets overwhelmed and humbled to be in the presence of such a great man, a statesman-son of India.After completing the tour of the museum, you can sign the visitors book. One can chat with the staff for some interesting snippets on the exhibits. I came to know that the Delhi Government couldnt find land; so they eventually made the museum here. True to his style, Dr. Kalaam has chosen to stay amongst the common people.Once you come out, there is a small souvenir shop from where you can coffee mugs, keychains & other knicknacks. The mugs have Dr. Kalaams image on them. When mugs are dark when cold and when hot liquid is poured into them, the outer surface lightens up and shows Dr. Kalaams image. Nice buy! It is a great way to start your day by looking at Dr. Kalaam!👍👍

Such a nice place and really a great tribute to the legend and pride of India. The place gives details of some moments from the life of Mr. Kalam. The place also has audio-visual playing all the time, which describes briefly about his life. Memorial also has some of the personal belongings and collections of Mr. Kalam.It can be covered up within 15-20 minutes. The place is located exactly behind Delhi Haat in INA and they are inter-connected.The place doesnt charges for the visit, hence its an added retreat. But make sure you dont enter from Delhi Haat as then you will have to pay entry fee of Delhi Haat. It is just 5 min. walk away from INA metro station(either Gate-1 or Gate-3).
