Dr Vij did the gastric by pass surgery on my mother and now she has lost mostly 70% of her excess weight in 1 year and half now its going slowly but she struggled for a year because of inablity to eat and a side effect of acidity causing immense paralizing pain in stomach about which Dr never informed us before or after, so she has to be extra careful of not eating anything hard,I also planned to get my self operated but instead of surgery I went for baloon treatment I got admitted for the procedure assuming that this procedure will take 1-2 hours so i will we back at my home by eod, but the procedure failed because of my obesity Dr was not able to insert the baloon in the food pipe, and after struggling for an hour I was out of operation theater in critical stage not able to breathe my Spo2 levels were dropped to 40% because I got severe neumonia in my lungs it caused due to forcefull insertion of tube in my mouth which caused bleeding and resulted infection, I was admitted there for 2 days and returned back home and then again got admitted for 5 days inlocal hospital for neumonia treatment, before the surgery I paid a complete amount of 1.5 lakh Rs for the procedure but after the procudure failed they refunded me 1.3 Lakh and deducted 20 thousand for 2 days hospital stay, so basically they charged me for putting my life in danger,Later I got to know about India top bariatric specialist Dr Pradeep Choubey at Max Saket New Delhi who had done over 80000 surgeries so I visited him and got appointment for surgery there I told them everything about my past and my mother surgery and he explained me that what your mother got is simple gastric bypass and what we do here is Roux-en-Y gastric bypass which is a classic more difficult procedure and within 1 month after the surgery I was normal and after following strict diet for 2.5 months I was able to eat regular home food and lost 20 kgs so basically what my point here is that my surgery was not at all painful as compared to my mother we both had lost weight but a good and painless recovery is also important and plus Max Saket is like 5 star Hospital in service and care and here the surgery costed me 5.5 lakh Rs for 2 occupancy room,So I would suggest that always go to the best Dr for these kinds of big surgeries.
