Currently the generation of this plant is permanently stop/closed by the delhi government due to lot of pollution by the coal burn in huge amount.Thats why its closed permanently.And the generator/alternator, turbine and generation transformer etc. are under removing working progress.In this plant total number of alternator unit was 5 ( 2no 210MW & 3no 95MW).The Switchyard of this plant is under working for other company.

BRPL distributes power to an area spread over 750 sq. km with a customer density of ~3100 per sq km. Its over ~2.4 million customers are spread in 21 districts across South and West areas includingAlaknanda, Dwarka, Hauz Khas, Jaffarpur, Janak Puri, Khanpur, Mundka, Najafgarh, Nangloi, Nehru Place, Nizamuddin, Palam, Punjabi Bagh, R.K. Puram, Saket, Sarita Vihar, Tagore Garden, Vasant Kunj, Vikas Puri, Uttam Nagar & Mohan Garden.

This power plant serves a lot of nearby areas. The total capacity is around 705 MW.It has a huge turbine hall, its own water sewage treatment plant and substation. Also it has its own wagon tippler for unloading of coal and an ash handling plant.Adjacent to the plant is its own township and colonies with all the basic amenities available.The security guards of CISF are very particular and strict and they do their duty nicely.It also has a huge canteen which is very much pocket friendly and a fire brigade station.The staff are very helpful and cordial.

Give power supply to Delhi but temporarily closed. Campus is well maintained. Government and private schools within campus give quality education to neighbouring areas.

I live here.. amazing place... Probably the best township in Delhi.. large space is available here. Pretty safe due to guards. Although the quarters are quite old, the area is very clean. But only employees have unlimited access to the place.

Walkable distance from tughlakabad metro station. This power station is right in the middle of the city. As like all NTPC townships this is equipped with all basic infrastructure. However, the area outside the township is too dusty and it is actually a respite to come inside.

It is a township in a city. Peaceful with no hustle and bustle of city, but one can experience city life just outside the gate. All amenities with security available.

This place is an ideal place. Theres no power cut and safe for all girls and old age peoples

M giving 3 stars because the locality is worst here. If u are a girl then u should definitely not visit here alone . U r safe inside township but outside the gate there is no guarantee. And please dont carry expensive phone and other things and if u r carrying then be careful. There are no. Of boys (around 10-15 in a group) who keep checking your expensive things and they also carry knives with them to escape easily if they are caught picking your pocket. Honestly saying its not safe for boys too ( outside the gate)

Canteen is awesome, perfect place for summer training, trainers are good. It is Delhis first and own plant, going to be closed soon. Indias first 95MW TG was installed here and have served for more than 40years. PROUD OF IT AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

Quite large and oldest thermal power plant. Entry is restricted as u need pass for entry . Only trainees and allowed personals can visit inside the campus.

As the name suggests it si coal thermal power plant. With the high security by the CISF. It is spread across in acres.A large area to store coal. A railway track is also there. They have there own railway engines to transport coal. Last time when I visited they have shutdown they one chimney due to the pollution. Government of Delhi gave order to shut this Plant. The cafeteria of the employees is very much cheap as this comes under government sector and hygiene is also maintained Cafeteria food also taste good. They have many machines and department. From It department to Training. ✌🏻

The working conditions are very comfortable for the employees here and one feels great working here with a government PSU. I did my internship here and Im still very obliged with the authorities who taught me so well.

Badarpur Thermal Power Station is located at Badarpur area in NCT Delhi. The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC. The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) for North India Region under Ministry of Power, Government of India was established at Badarpur in 1974, within the Badarpur Thermal power plant (BTPS) complex.[1] The power plant permanently shut down on 15 October 2018.

Proper planned township, environment friendly net and clean, but lot of structure are there is not in use

Excellent!!! Wish a miracle happened to travel back in time and reverse the decision to shut down the Badarpur power plant. Feel a sense of tremendous personal loss and also feel it is a big loss for the nation.

Now its closed temporarily.It Had given electricity when it was maintained and running conditionOne of oldest power plant in Delhi.

It is first plant of ntpc which adopted by ntpc. At the time of adoption it was outside of delhi. Now it is in delhi. So now government has planned to close this plant. This is thermal plant of ntpc. It is nearest to tugalkabad metro station. Its distance from metro is 500 meter.

Entry restricted , good colony for ntpc workers n staffs. Two schools in the township Kendriya Vidyalaya and Notre Dame...
