I dont think there is anyone who doesnt know about this premier instituition. I have had the amazing opportunity to work here as a Research Associate and here. I would like to mention some useful things for anyone coming to IIT Delhi for the first time.1. Best way to reach here is by metro and the station you need to get off is IIT at Magenta line. Its literally 50 steps to the main gate which eventually leads to the Main building.2. Not everyone is allowed into the campus hence you need to have proof which the guard can approve of and let you enter.3. Food is amazing and affordable in the canteen with various small stand out cafes.4. You can also take a rickshaw or a yulu for roaming inside the campus as it is enormous.

The security staff is very helpful. Ask them anything at the entrance they will guide you well. IIT Delhi is one of the best institutions in India and the campus is mind-blowing. Check out my YouTube channel for amazing videos on IIT D.~ The Concept Guy

Being at IIT was always a dream , Once I went there for first time it was for there Technical Fest Robotryst I was in my 1st year at that time and I had a great experience there.The life there is so different And have been to many other IITs too but each IIT has different campus life and so is different for IIT Delhi . Everyday there is some events taking place in the campus from different branches and fields , some are organised interior by the students and some are by some other outside organisations .The library is so well maintained and has a mini computer lab as well which has iMacs there are 3 floors in the library and each floor has a separate reading or study section .The grounds are well maintained and is divided into two halves , first half is for inter IIT events and sports competitions and the other half is bing used by all students and general public where football coaching or sports practices takes place .

I dont study here....Im not intelligent enough to study here but i visited here to experience the event rendezvous and it was very good and i visited with my 5 friends and had a great time sight seeing. Took some good pictures and saw new things..the place is big and campus is very big and i had to see any things so i was in hurry...and things i noticed is the place is green and tidy...the place is well equipped with all facilities.. I had a bad experience but i wont tell it...overall experience was great...!!!

According To Friend of mine ..Placements : There are nearly 95% placements in our college, and if you do perform well in placements, then youll surely get a nice salary package. The average salary package offered in our department is 20-40 LPA. Roles are offered depending on what course you pursue, in which field you want to work and also your skills. Around 50% of the students do internships or some sort of projects over there.Infrastructure : Facilities available in classrooms and library are awesome. Classrooms are centrally air-conditioned and equipped with Wi-Fi facility and charging points. Facilities in the hostel are not that fascinating, but they are not that bad. The mess food is average and sometimes very nice. Rooms are old and very small, but at the same time, hostels provide you with all the sports facilities, common rooms, reading rooms, music room, dance room and a TV room. The canteen food is good and inexpensive. Medical facilities are free of cost for students. Institution-level sports courts are very nicely maintained, and coaches are available for every sport.Faculty : Teachers here are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are ready to help you in every aspect if you are sincere and keen to gain knowledge from them. Their teaching quality is good if you are attentive and willing to study. The course curriculum is relevant, and students who clear this course with good grades will be in a very good position in their life and earn a good amount....

The concept of the IITs was first introduced in a report in the year 1945 by Sh. N.M.Sircar, then member of Education on Viceroys Executive Council. Following his recommendations, the first Indian Institute of Technology was established in the year 1950 in Kharagpur.
