Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal is labeled as one of the spooky places in Delhi but I dont find any ghosts here in two visits of this place. Yes the place is deserted, silent which give some eerie feeling and make you believe some coincidences as ghostly experience. Like the one we felt which looks a coincidence if I think more about it. But if govt develop this place more the footfall their will increase.

A small fort with remains of the place. Not a good idea to see as it is ignored by govt as well as tourists.. No facilities, no cleanliness on the road sides. Have something spooky environment. We felt cutting of trees n people talking behind the remains of fort. However there was no one. Some one threw stones. Not safe for girls. Even the caretaker will also give you a strange n spooky expressions as nobody comes to visit this place. No person is allowed to enter inside that place. Not even in day time.

The Bhooli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is a haunted mansion in the middle of a dense forest on the north-west border of Delhi. Today the remains of this royal mansion & courtyard are seen. When I visited this place yesterday it was a sunny afternoon but the place seemed dark being surrounded by dense forest and since barely any visitors throng there, it was a deserted place. The tour guide and the security person both were not in uniform and stared at me with a strange feeling in their eyes. Soon two girls arrived there wearing completely black dresses and sat down right in front of the entrance and did not talk to each other.I realized that this is a spooky place and proceeded to walk around the mansion. There was dense jungle on all sides with eerie silence interrupted by an odd Owl making sound occasionally.

The maintenance here is very bad , No rules regulations work here , Close this palace whenever they want . May has been gone here for 2 alternate days, both days were closed, but it was open in Google Map. There are no guards .Bhuli Bhatiyari ka MahalKarol Bagh, the busy market of Delhi, has a hidden secret. The area is identified by Delhi’s new landmark, the huge Hanuman Statue next to Bagga Link Services. Right behind this Bagga Link, a small serpent road goes deep into the Southern Ridge of Delhi. As you advance few hundred meters on this road, a strange structure on your right will cast a spell on you.0This structure is claimed to be the most haunted place in Delhi. There are no metal gates to be locked. The only thing that guards this massive structure is a note written at entrance, which tells people to not to come near this place after sunset.I had an unofficial chat with one of the govt employees associated with this place. He told me that no security guard deployed by govt survived his job for more than 2-3 days. He added, “I don’t believe in all this, but there is something suspicious & scary here”.1What is Bhooli Bhatiyari?2Bhooli Bhatiyari (or Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal) is a Hunting Lodge built by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 14th century. It has its resemblance with another of Feroz Tughlaq’s structure, ‘Malcha Mahal’. The structure is entered by a huge rubble masonry gate, which takes you to a small zone. Another doorway with corbelled arches welcomes you to the huge open square courtyard. On sides, we have rooms, used by people who stayed here during the hunting season. Towards north, it has a semi-circular structure accessed through a plight of stairs. On one corner, we have a modern toilet, which was built by Delhi Tourism in hope to promote this place. But it lies deserted as no govt guard was able to come near this place. We can imagine, that the hunters back in Tughlaq days could have seen the entire ridge from this mini-fortress.3This structure also has those elements, which are commonly seen in Mosques and Palaces built by Junan Shah Tilangani. On outside, the Lodge has bastions like a fort. The entire plan of this Lodge appears as if this was a safe house of the Emperor during some calamity.4Why the name “Bhooli Bhatiyari”?There are two theories behind this title. One theory suggests that this place, after the Tughlaq Dynasty, became abode of a sufi saint named ‘Bu Ali Bakhtiyari’. Bhooli Bhatiyari is simple a distorted form of his name. The other theory suggests that there was a Bhatiyarin (a tribal lady from Rajasthan), who forgot her way and ended up here. After her, the place became famous as ‘Bhooli Bhatiyari’.Is it Haunted?Personally, I never had any haunting experience at this place. I have been there alone, with family, friends and with huge groups during Photowalks. But perhaps the scaring spirits in this area don’t like me. The closest we went were when we were doing a Photowalk and 2 of our group members decided to drift away from the group. They went deep into jungle and tried to click a white wall that they saw. When they adjusted their cameras, standing next to the wall, they realized that the wall just vanished. They came back running to me and narrated the story.GPGP-2013-800pxIf you have experienced anything special here, do share with me.

Descent peace place for good mind, squirrels, birds are there in attached park, bhuli bhatyari ka mahal is at walking distance from Jhandewalan Metro station which is at Blue line, you can find shortest way from Samaypur badli metro to azadpur to switch on pink and then rajori on blue to continue to Jhandewalan, it is shorter as compared to rajeev chowk route. But there is nothing more like to see as there is no big mahal, but it is peaceful with greenery, at once it can be seen it is all lonely but its not true. People are here to watch it.

Overrated and dirty place. No signs of Ghost or any Paranormal activities. It is only filled with trash(chips packets, beer cans, guthka, beedi etc). First time I visited this place in afternoon and second time in night. It is just an abandoned place behind Jhandewala Hanuman Mandir. Caretaker tried to scare me that there are ghosts in this place but I only experienced kooda, kachra and khandar. My recommendation - this place is not safe for girls. Girls should never visit this place alone as drug addicts(nashedis), sharabis are there in night.

Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal is an example of Delhi’s 700-year-old Islamic heritage, which is named as one of Delhi’s premier haunted places. It was also a royal hunting lodge. Probably the castle of Bhuli Bhatiyari is a small fort built with the red stone of Aravali. This fort has two entrances. After entering the first entrance, a very small passage comes and after this, there is a gate to enter this palace, which takes us to a large courtyard. The rooms are built on the sides of this courtyard, which used for the royal people. There are stairs toward the north of this palace, which leads to a platform. It seems that the Sultan would be enjoying the festivities taking place in the fort and he would be watching the view of the forest from the fort. Even more in this palace, there is a turret-like structure outside the fort.Bhuli Bhatiyari Ka Mahal was built by Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq of Tughlaq Dynasty in the 14th century.
