Nice ambiance with rustic look. Place have beautiful lighting and images all around may give back some memories of 70s. Staff is helpful but not completely informed about dishes (allergic people get confirmed about ingredients directly from chef). Serving is decent but food is very rich. It is high on spices. curries felt like over cooked and you do not get the flavor of the vegetables. Overall decent experience.

It is a Theme based Restaurant. I found it Interesting. It has a great ambience and the food was also good.U must visit if u are looking for something vintage, rustic interiors.

Mother India Restaurant is totally based on a Bollywood movie theme. Even the restroom of the restaurant has that niche retro feel.The decoration of the restaurant also soothes the eye.The staff are very jolly type and friendly.The food served was very good, and the mint served after that was fantastic.You can visit this anytime.

Good place, great food, authentic ambience, simple Bollywood music. A bit more costly than the usual ones in the same segment. Tried vegetarian food here.. everyone in our group liked it.

Ambience:- The interior is nicely done with a mix of small and big elements from the Indian film industry. One can easily spot this huge wall art of the legendary Nargis from the movie Mother India.Menu: The menu has been crafted in such a way that its divided into 4 parts. Each carrying starters and main course from the 4 parts of India i.e North, South, West and East.They offer a wide variety of both veg and non veg dishes.Theres also a wide variety of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on offer.Staff: The staff was courteous and responses however lacked enthusiasm. We could spot dull faces around us.Food: We ordered Aagre ka jal-jeera and Almond & Saffron Shake from the drinks menu and Chowk ki Gaulti and Ghee Roast Chicken for starters. They offered complimentary Masala Papad, which is always a nice idea to impress the customers however the Papads were half cooked.The Shake was thick and creamy however too sweet for our liking. The jal jeera was tasteless.Then coming onto Chicken Ghee Roast the description read Chicken roasted in ghee and tangy spices however we could only taste the ghee. It lacked the spiciness we expected.Moving on to the Chowk ki Gaulauti, it was so so. Definitely not one would expect from a restaurant rated so well.Overall the ambience and the service was good but the food was pretty average, Average enough to spoil our afernoon.

I had lots of expectations from this place but I was really disappointed with food. Food is pretty average, doesnt go with such a premium place.Ambiance is great, low light, party space available, good place to have quality time with family or date.

A fabulous place to dine in, and this places true to its name is like mother India with a variety from all the parts of India.All regional food is carefully brought together on the detailed menu and they do keep up with the regional flavours too.I loved the nadru k kebab made with lotus stem. Which is a kashmiri delicacy.The dimsums are not to miss also the yummy dahi ke kebabs.Talking about main course they have marwari South Indian and Kashmiri food. I love the laaal Maas and rogan josh. The paneer lababadar is really nice too. The dal makhani is always an essential.Do not miss the kesar badam kulfi and Gulab Jamun for deserts.

Visited this place today for lunch. The decor is truly amazing and has a very old world charm. The staff is cordial and friendly. I ordered kastoori kabab, rara gosht, rice and iced tea. Loved the food and presentation. However, the service time is very long and it took forever for the food to arrive. The service time is my reason for this rating, otherwise, I absolutely loved the flavorful food.

Mother India is pure Indian restaurant located in CP that serve North Indian,Rajasthani,South Indian and many more dishes.The ambiance is very large and decorated very well.It has two floor.Seating arrangement is very nice and cozy.Food is just awesome so the service is.Everything we tried out was heavenly delicious and mouthwatering.Some of the dishes name are Malai Kofta,Chicken Tikka,Paneer Tikka and virgin mojhito.I highly recommended this place for group dinner.

It is one of the good fine dine places. Their portions are quite enough for 1 perso. Acc. To me. So order wisely to avoid wastage . taste of everything os good. I liked their dahi kebab. Little expensive but thats ok for this category of restaurant at Cannught place.

Best thing I found here is the rest room which is so unique which makes me to give an extra star. Also you will get complimentary papad without any charges.

This place has very nice ambiance. Offers decent quality food. The price are little high but the food will quality will not dissapoint you. The best time to pay a visit to this place is for evening dinners. As it is in CP, you dont have to worry about the connectivity to your place.I think it is food for once in a while visit.These guys add additional service tax with gst and that is what I did not like about that place. I did add a picture of the my bill for your references.

Loved the food, ambience and services

The place had a different feel to it all over. Artfully done with yesteryear paintings and artefacts, the restaurant had a completely different look. With live music playing, the singer was singing some classic melodies along with some contemporary fusions.The food was delicious too, covering delicacies from all the corners of the country. The music though was a little loud, drowning out the conversation and making it difficult to hear the other person speak.

AHHHHHH DUDE THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually can never finish my plate cuz I end up ordering the lots of from menu! So I always have extra to eat for the rest of the week! I lived in South Delhi for many years and this Indian restaurant delivers all the taste and qualities a REAL Indian restaurant in CP would serve!!! Yum!!!!!

A nice,cosy,casual dining restro right on the outer circle of cp with rustic interiors.In there,i had the paneer tikka khaas khazana in starters which was kinda different from the normal paneer tikkas and for all good reasons.also tried angeethi ka bhuna bharta along with kadai paneer which were perfectly spiced and were pretty delicious to have.in breads,i tried the butter roti and butter naan which were good along with a garlic naan,which was strangely the best of all i ate there,simply because it was cooked that good! Apart from all this,i even tried their watermelon and apple mojitos and would suggest the latter variant to try out of the two.And yes,if you like old romantic bollywood songs for a change then you would love this place even more ;)*And the hospitality & service was upto the expected standards as well but charging a 10% service charge for that i feel is an archaic/outdated practise in 2019 because generally,people do leave behind a decent amount of tip in appreciation of the same ,so why take money for serving your guests twice this way?either you shouldnt have service charge or you shouldnt accept tips of any sort for doing the same thing(hospitality/service),right?Hence 1 star less,just for that one wrong,outdated practise of taking tips as well as charging service tax as well(which i declined to give because i would rather leave behind a tip if i would really love someones hospitality but you dont have to charge everyone the same percent as different people can have different expectations and experiences from any xyz restro).hence 1 star less for this malpractise of accepting the old,traditional tipping as well as the modern concept of service charge for doing the same thing!

The restaurant was good, its decoration and ambience is of retros like that of 70s but didnt like the food much. Its wasnt upto our mark. ...lot of spicy n buttery not fit for health.

The decor of bringing antics together in Morden dinner was amazing. After seeing the menu, covering from every corner of india we were confused what to order as we wanted to try everything. So we ordered a Non Veg platter which had Mutton kebab, 3 types of chicken dishes and fish tikka. Taste of all starters were distinct and you can make out. Loved the fish tikka and malai chicken tikka. Chicken main course dish Mandi chicken curry was not tat great, it tasted as boiled chicken mixed in gravy which was disappointing, whereas the Mutton dish Bhunna Ghost was amazing. The gravy was thick and the taste was distinct. In bread I would recommend if you have sweet tooth then must try Kashmiri Naan, rich with dry fruits and amazing taste. Overall the experience was amazing.

Must see place if you are in Connaught place. The decor is amazing. The vast menu has sections dedicated for different regions of India and you get an extensive variety of Indian cuisines to choose from. You may go to this restaurant 5-10 times and still have a complete new full course meal. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Youll be up for a surprise when you visit their washrooms.

Editing this review. Rating it 1/5.This restaurant was good. It had an expansive food menu spanning across all the four directions of India. I could come here and have a learning experience about my countrys food. The music changed to reflect that. This was 8 months ago.Now, the story is different, much much different.This restaurant should be re-named Mother North India. The owners seem to have given in to the overtly unimaginative North Indian Delhi palette. The menu has shrunk by a lot. People cant learn about new Indian foods and resort to have average, run of the mill North Indian (butter chicken/paneer with naan).Case in point: I ordered Kolkata fried fish and it has just arrived with mayonnaise while an early 2000s remix song plays overhead.Its truly saddening. Ill just remember it for that one good meal I had 8 months ago. This will be my last visit.

Good food,.good restaurant and very courteous staff. However i felt that restaurant lighting needs to be improved (was quite dark). Food was finger licking good. We ordered Naga spring rolls (veg), bhatti da murg (roasted chicken), dahi kebabs all this in starters and finally rara gosht (mutton) with chicken briyani in main course and everything was so delicious, mirchi paranthas are highly recommended. From the bar menu Aambli LIIT (long island iced tea) is must try. Hope this helps and enjoy.

What a decor.... Such a classic restaurant. In centre of Delhi. Have a variety of menu available. Pricy stuff. The decorations are full of old Bollywood posters and old adds. A good family restaurant. Service is good. Not crowded. Well maintained.

Interior is amezing. You can find almost all varieties of food from Kashmir to Kanyakumari here. Well south Indian meal was not good but later I tried Delhi style kababs and Mushrooms. And it was good. Interior is really amezing. This place is lil over the pocket if you drink beer or other alcohols. You can check Manu before entering into the restaurant. Good luck

Good place to visit with friends and also you can take out your girl on this place. They have a private vip sections you can book online cos you cant get it there due to long line crowd always in que waiting for their turn to eat the delicious food they make.

NOSTALGIA !!!The first thing you get after stepping in..!! They got it all those things which will take you through the beautiful memories of yours, only through their ambience..

The place had catchy Menu & good ratings which made me visit here. To my surprise it turned out to be place with good decor n even better music. The menu is very elaborate. From north to south, everything in India is majorly covered. You will find the delicacies from Punjab Rajasthan to Bengal and from Maharashtra to Tamil Nadu in here.The servers need good training though. They dont know the dishes well, they will be clueless if you ask their recommendations. They will also try to pass on work to one another.I ordered Dal Baati Churma and Bharvaan Aloo. They couldnt go any more wrong with Dal Baati. No taste, nothing. Absolutely bland. But the Bharvaan Aloo was really nice to have.A family friendly place.

Great family restaurant

A must visit place. Went there for the first time. But definitely planning to go again. Whatever I ordered was so delicious and tasty that i would recommend every food lover to visit this place at least once. A special mention for the ambience.

Very slow service. Also service was not efficient. The waiter forgot some items and served them at other tables. Food quality was fine. Ambience is very poor. Melamine crockery being used, gives a very cheap feeling.

Price to quantity ratio is biased towards the price. Ambience was as expected from the photographs (retro). The food was good. Nothing to complain about the taste. The quantity, however, should have been more. Staff was courteous and so overall an OKAYISH experience.

Every single thing was fantastic! Before we even got our food, I was in love with this place. Genuine / authentic interactions with the wait staff made for a lively dining experience. Great place with lovely ambience. If you are above 30 and have ever been to your ancestors in village during childhood, this place would bring back so many memories. Those big radiograms, old switches, red landline....Talking of food, they do bring some best recipes from all over India with genuine taste...

A nice, quite place for fine dinning with family and friends. Atmosphere is good where eating and talking go hand in hand. Food is good, aesthetics is also good. They serve food speciality of different regions of India. They have ground floor and 1st floor sitting. If you want a more sober and quite dinning experience move to the first floor.

My friend @ I Went there when were visiting Connaught Place and looking for a good restaurant. the place were nice and interesting decor--taken from an old indian movie. We ordered tangy salad as starters, then followed by lamb dish, biryani rice and butter chicken, food was amazing.I would recommend this place for the food and atmosphere.

Absolutely a phenomenal Indian restaurant! Went here with my good friend for a dinner, this place caters to groups and even couple dates. Everything Ive had was delicious and reasonably price! Definitely coming back!

The restaurant is divided into two floors with excellent wall arts and decorative items, the plus point is the open space it owns. All the paintings, wall art, antique, vintage style telephone and lighting will drag you in old era.Its fabulous outlet with beautiful decor with awesome DJ sound in projector light.It is a really nice place with great ambiance and greater service. The waiters are generous and food is delicious.Its lovely blooming fragrance and that orangutan fascinating fruity odor in its environment is enough to start your happy hours with your friend and families.If you want some quite place with homely ambiance then this is the place. Food is amazing as well.

Awesome place. Worth the money. Food is really good. The staff is extremely hospitable. And the ambience is superb.

We had masala chai, and it was decent. I liked the decor but found the music too loud for my ear. They had played 1970s songs in full volume, which was quite uncomfortable. I usually like to hear these songs in low volume. After your meal, spend some time exploring their decor. They have some fancy and unique antiques.

Such a beautiful place to go with family. Awesome food and ambience. If you love your mom then do let her know she is the mother India of your life and she is at par with the feeling that this restaurant has to offer.

I went to this place a year ago and everything seemed gpxbxcbxvreat but my recent experience was pathetic.No live music anymore.Food quality was very very poor.We ordered Non-Veg platter which was ok, but French fries and other main course veg items were terrible, prices seemed way expensive for that quality. I did call the chef to the table to taste and took away the dish to modify it.Not recommended at all...
