If you consider that this is the largest ignou campus, then it doesnt fit the largest campus expectation, as there isnt any place to sit , space is so much but there isnt any sitting desk or chairs even there isnt any handwash in the bathrooms as this is Covid time.Related to dealing issue youll have to go to one counter to another.However youll find your work done at the end.

I tried my best to get in contact with them. Emails, phone calls just tried everything but NO RESPONSE at all. Such a ridiculous experiences. I have not been able to get admission all due to their ignorant behaviour.

They do not give u back any refund. I am struggling to get my money back as my admission got cancelled. Nobody means nobody responds to my email. Even I have sent an email to thier head and escalated this issue. They are also not atall bothered about students concern.

IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National open University) offering different types of Bachelors and Masters Degree programmes. Ignou is 2.5km from saket metro station and 3.3km from Qutab Minar metro station.

If you wana go to IGNOU Maidan Garhi HQ then take auto(10 INR /Person) after alighting from Saket metro station. You will have to puckup Autos which are going to Maidan Garhi. Autos generally take 10 minutes to reach there. Its(IGNOU HQ) in the Left side of the road while going. Thearea name is IGNOU Chowk/Road Where its HQ is located. Sometimes traffic may be dense but overall its smooth.After alighting at IGNOU HQ Gate, we should simply fill Up the Guard Register and go to the concerned Block. In case of confusion, Ask from Guards. They will guide you which block/building to go. Do your work afterwards. While returing follow the Same route in Vice Versa mode.PS- The IGNOU HQ, Maidan Garhi is A grade in matters related to Hygiene, Cleanliness, Social Security, for leisure in Parks and so on.

Alright,so heres the thing. IGNOU just dont care about your career , even if youre sincerely sincere dont you ever,ever take admission here. Theyre totally a waste of time:i) They wasted my whole year last year by Postponing June exam to February 2021ii) This year,they too gonna do the same thing, Havent even uploaded assignment marks n status, Im unable to get admission in any PG course as theres no surety about the result n without it I couldnt get admission n many other students too, n all the admission dates have been passed of other universities.Such a pathetic institution.

Courses offered are highly valuable but feeling very disappointed at university information centre KOCHI. While we are calling KOCHI Regional office and THEVARA SH college University centres, for knowing one informations, The Staff behaving in very rude manner. They are talking with high preassure & not giving proper information. Please replace that staff and appoint some polite staff.

Visited this university for the first time. It was an above average experience. If you’re going for an enquiry, the enquiry counter is available at the entry gate only; this means as soon as you enter the campus, you’ll find SSC (Students Support Center) on your right hand side. If you wanna visit any block, you’ll need to mark your entry in the entry register for that particular block. The staffs whom I met, were helpful. There is an ATM as well inside the campus (It’s also become a basic thing in all the campuses), parking area, etc. Overall, it’s a good place and I liked it.

Nearest metro station is Saket. From there you can take sharing autos called Gramin Sewa for ₹10. My experience wasnt bad at all as I had thought before going there. They might sometimes sound a little rude but thats because of they are handling so many clueless people who come there with their random problems.They do actually listen to peoples problems completely and then tell the possible solutions.There are tolerable washrooms in each block and cold drinking water dispensers.

In 1970, the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare organised a seminar on Open University in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the UGC and the Indian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO. After the seminar recommendation an open university in India has been established on an experimental basis. Starting in 1974, the government of India appointed an eight-member working group on open university, the leading role was given to G. Parthasarathi, the then Vice-Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University.The working group recommended establishing an open university by an act of parliament as early as possible. They recommended that the university should have jurisdiction over the entire country so that, once it is fully developed, any student even in the remotest corner of the country can have access to its instruction and degrees (Working Group Report, 1974).The working group suggested several measures to be followed in instructional and management processes of the open university which included: admission procedure, age relaxation, preparation of reading materials, setting up of core group scholars in different fields, setting up of study centres, vehicle of curricular programmes, live contact with teachers and so on. On the basis of the recommendations of the working group, the Union Government prepared a draft bill for the establishment of a National Open University, but due to some reasons the progress was delayed.
