Tegu Mess at Mysore. Wow what a taste man. The mutton was awesome. Loved it. Tegu mess you can find in Mysore VVpuram. It’s must visit place in Mysore for Non Veg loversSpace is less. If on weekends more people will be there. You need to wait and take the space to eat. But it’s worth to wait n eat. I considerably prefer this place.
As far as I have heard about the spicy food here about, it was really good and tolerable for taste buds even for mild taste seekers. Or it was mild just the day I went. Overall the price is bit upscale but quality of mutton and dishes in general is easily the good reason to recommend. There’s no parking space out front. Two wheelers and four wheelers have to park elsewhere in side roads and reach by walk. And the restaurant is in first floor and is accessible by a flight of stairs only which is a drawback I feel.
Very Good Karnataka Original Country side food. Great Treat for Chicken & Mutton Lovers.
A hearty & homely non veg unlimited meal is all I can say about this place. The best part of this meal was that, the food did not make us uncomfortable after eating; unlike most non veg meals after eating, makes you wanna skip your next meal. The place is quite small and busy, so make sure to visit early lunch hours so avoid waiting and get to taste everything on the menu before it gets over. The staff who serve us were super courteous, and fed us like their own family; served us little extra even when we said we are full.A meal comes with unlimited mudde/idli, ghee rice, white rice green curry pepper curry rasam and butter milk along with a meat dish of your choice - chicken, mutton, keema, or mutton liver. We ordered chicken meal, mutton meal and half portion of Keema and mutton liver. The mutton was cooked to perfection and the curries are super delicious. And the ghee rice is flavourful and idlis are soft and big sized. The chicken was lightly undercooked for my preference.
Tegu mess serves local style non-vegetarian food like chilli chicken, pepper chicken, mutton kheema, mutton pepper, idli, ragi ball, ghee rice etc..Its a tiny place run by a family and is usually crowded in the afternoons. Their menu changes daily, so ask for whats available when you are here. The staff and owner are quick at their service. They are very generous with the portions they serve and prices are very reasonable. If you are meat-lover, this is a must try place when in Mysore.
Tasty and hygienic food. About 2km from Railway station.Parking has to be on the road.Located in the first floor (no lift available), so elderly people plan accordingly.
If you like a sumptuous non vegetarian breakfast, youve come to the right place. Awesome Marathi style non vegetarian food will make ones mouth water . I personally have always liked the place. Ssllurrp...
Tegu’s Mess is one of the restaurant that serves authentic Kannada cuisine such as Ragi Muddhe and Mutton Saaru (Curry). Due to its high levels of protein and iron, this is considered to be a heavy but healthy meal. The curries are spicy and thick and have a generous portion of meat. The flavour of the meat is blended with the spices that make almost all the ingredients important for cooking. Other well-known combinations are Neer Dosa, Idlis and Ghee rice with your choice of curries.
Wonderful mutton delicacies served here.. Neat and tasty food...do not miss this if you love authentic local mutton...
Basic ambience, breakfast for 2 will set you back by 500. Good taste.
I have been visiting this place from past 9 years and one of delicious food hotel in mysore,i do not have to write much as most of guys know about this place, before this used to be for morning breakfast and lunch, now a days its been open for dinner also and you will get parcel facilities whole day, most of the time Monday or Tuesday it will off else it will be open on other day..must try is absolutely Chilli Chicken with Malige idli or dosa..and Mudhe oota is everyones favorite...But, yes as years passed this place became commercial and found missing in taste , i used to visit every sunday morning, but now do not feel like eating here, yeah one in a while is good..forgot to mention, lunch is unlimited here but sides you need to buy separate if you feel sides provided with lunch is less... i suggest try dry kima balls too..
No need to provide much review on this place, this is one of the iconic places for non veg lovers in Mysore. Since the popularity is high, the prices have also gone up. But for the taste must try atleast once.
Food ok good taste but for eating for food not convenient its too small restaurant. Better take parcel
Though the food was tasty, the chicken served was hard to chew on. We took 3 chicken meals. None of the chicken pieces were good, but rubbery. Expected tender meat, but was disappointed.
I went from Bangalore to taste but service is not good mess tables and hairs were fall in gheee rice …. No salt and spice in mutton was completely dried they don’t serve hot food no good food hanumanthu palav is far better then theju mess
Tegu mess is earlier they were surve good food ...But now a days they are not bothered about customers . And no space for customers to sit . Owner should think about this .
Very crowded place ...good for only parcels and owner has think about extending the area of sitout
The Mutton Kheema Unde (kheema ball) Curry is a wonder! I ordered Fish Curry Meals. Really a fantastic combo of Ragi Mudde, Iddly, Rice Mutton gravy and Fish Curry! The Fish Curry was a great treat for a person like me who used to consume marine fish. A great culinary experience! There is no exaggeration in the YouTube reviews by Kripal Ammanna and Ebin Jose!!!!
Its over rated. In Mutton Kheema balls there was hardly any Kheema, it was only batter. The Mutton Soup was OK.
Taste ok at par 😬😬 not at all spicy 🌶 for non veg without spicy taste very bad so If u ppl like to have non veg food like vegetarian les spicy u May try 🙏
Good taste. Keema was average. Overall descent. Dint live up to the hipe created.

Ultimate non- vegetarian food available here,With good responsible serving
Old mess with traditional table set up. Maratha cousin. Idly and gravy was good and tasty chiken menu. Mutton quality in kheema was not so good. Best palav and boti gojju. Need to order your self after sitting in table. Similarly how waitre shout for order. Early morning is best time to visit.

Tasty but heavily crowded, less price but limited menu
You will typically get a homemade like non-vegetarian food and its dam tasty. But I found this place to very over crowded at afternoons and you hardly find place to sit and have food peacefully. If you want enjoy your time here then you got to visit this place at night or early afternoon only then u can have ur meals peacefully. Taste is superb.
Very good & homely taste for non veg eaters. This is very old place & is always crowded. To enjoy the taste, you have to be there by 12.30p.m
A mess with a limited varieties, home-cooked type dishes that goes easy on your stomach. They serve some no-nonsense menu that is more of an authentic local affair.Opening as early as 6:30 am, dish out idlies and doses with leg soup and chicken curry for the breakfast along with palav. Mudde and rice along with leg soup and curries is the best thing for a lunch.
Peaceful place to visit...Our kannada people.. they happily invite people as their own.
Amazing Food, delightful service and wonderful experience!!
People who like delicious juicy properly cooked mutton you need to visit this place. Its not a big restaurant though but food is delicious.
Keema balls tastes heavenly!
Its a typical mess with wholesome food. The thalis came with a choice of Thatte Idli, Ragi Mudde , Ghee Rice and Plain Rice. Then the non veg choice is chicken or mutton gravy. I liked the food..a little spicy....but the folks serving you are really very sweet and thoughtful. Keep asking what you need... service is prompt. Avg spend was 200/- per person. Worth a visit.

One of the very few places in Mysuru that offers a palatable Maratha nonveg cuisine. Definitely a must visit for all those hardcore non-vegetarian food lovers.PS: A word of caution for all you hygiene freaks, you are better off ordering food from this place rather than visiting it.
K but costly, 1 idli single kalu soup 100 rupees
