I’ve odered medium steak and got well done. The food was average and price were high. You shouldn’t order the shrimps coz they were awful. Only the fresh orange juice were ok. For this price you will find something better.

Average of all! Food, service wasnt bad but nothing special or nothing authentic or warming Bulgarian as in the way they have presented themselves. For a single visit it was ok, basically because of their excellent location, I.e bcs of the view!

The Food was really tasty and delicious.We took “Steak plate for 2 person” with a special souse (Garlic and potatoes) and 2 Soft Drinks : 80 BGN = 42 EuroThe Restaurant has a nice View to the Sea.

Amazing food and service, the only down side is I like the dish my partner ordered more than mine! If you are in Golden Sands and like good meat and wine, go here

A bit on the expensive side, not too impressive, small beer selection and overall an ok experience since nothing was bad regarding the service (which my reviews usually emphasize on). Nothing felt special, nothing was exceptionally good either, the beer on tap felt heavily watered down, the food looked pretentious but tasted just average.

Prices were quite high for Bulgaria, but comparable to other tourist restaurants in the area. The waiters were not that nice, but it was not my worst experience either. I tried the качамак which can be spelled as Katchamak in English. It was really not Amazing and we needed to pay for the cheese on it even though it was like two spoonful of it ( 3 leva per person ) and they made us pay some more things that would nit not necessarily be the case in a typical Bulgarian restaurant. After this mediocre experience the waiter asked us to give him tips , which we didnt do so he stared at us angrily.

As with most places ive found in Golden Sands, this is another tourist rip off!No prices on the bill matched the menu, as I couldnt understand the receipt I could not really argue but we were majorly ripped off. Waiter was not interested in helping explain.Food was very basic and small portions for the prices charged.Please dont go here!

We wanted to have a drink at some place quiet and I really liked how this restaurant looked like on the outside. So we decided to stop in there to get something to drink and a dessert, as we already ate. However, we were treated like dogs by an older waiter. When we told him that we want a dessert and something to drink, he pulled off the menu out of my hands, by yelling like a desperate No dessert for you then he left. He returned after one minute very angry saying that this is an restaurant and you cannot take just drinks here. Thenhe kicked us out of the restaurant. This is unacceptable behavior, how can you treat your customers with such manners?!!!! Even though we only wanted drinks and dessert, the restaurant was more than half empty. A customer is still a customer, no matter what he serves...unacceptable to treat the people like you did with us. I will never come in this place ever again and I will make sure to let my friends and relatives know about it.

Absolutely terrible. Do not waste your time and money on poor food and service. They had no soup and lamb. I ordered a medium rare steak and had to return it twice. First time it came well done and second was blue. Third was still very rare but I just ate what I could. To top it off, we were kept waiting for 30 minutes as they could not work out how to accept some cash and some card payment. They blamed us for not paying one way or the other! And then the waiter asked for a tip.

Absolutely fabulous atmosphere and staff. So welcoming. Food is fantastic and is very cheap. There is a fantastic selection of food too, even in the less busy season. Would 100% recommend.

The wine was fine. The place is nice, but the staff is not even trying to be pleasant. We have ordered Milk pork and lamb. Were very disapointed, since it was not just from the fire but warned up in the stove. For lamb, I would say, it was acceptable. But the pork was awful. It was dry and almost with no flavour. Too expensive for that quality. Will never come back.

Had a lovely meal here, recommended by the waiter we had veal steak on the bone, it was deliciously cooked on the grill, the only problem was our main course came before we had chance to eat our starters so a bit rushed, but the food was great, not cheap but worth it if you want a great steak this is the place to come.

Nice meal with typical Bulgarian dishes. There was also a pleasant Bulgarian folk dancing show.

Amazing rerestaurant. In an very old fashioned house. The restaurant is full with antiques from 18th. 19th. Century. There is a live music band. The food is original Bulgarian cuisine. I love it!!!

An insensitive staff! Racist and unwilling to be nice and serve people properly! I asked if Romanian was spoken and the waiter told me to speak Bulgarian because I was in his country and then he said 2 3 more miserable things and left!

Grandmas food, I asked to pay the bill with the card and the waiter suggested cash for the tip.

Expensive and rather run down restaurant. The food has been a great disappointment. The calamari looked like bubblegum and had no flavor. And the mussels nothing special. I think there must be better options around the area. The restaurant was only 10 months old and it took a long time to bring the food.

Just fall for an unfriendly tourist.First, we were a table of 4 people, there is only one card for the whole table.Its time to order, I wanted to order the pork ribs myself, the waiter starts to explain to me that the ribs dont taste good and that I should take what the others eat. I then told him that I would still like to have the pork ribs. In addition, you had to order side dishes such as French fries or the like separately and the ketchup with the fries also costs extra. I also ordered an aioli dip.The food is then served as a starter with a tomato, cucumber, peppers, onion salad, the sauce for the salad has to be mixed with oil and vinegar yourself (was not a problem, it tasted okay too), the salad was served very carelessly, much too big Square tomato and cucumber pieces and 3-4 small onions can be found in the salad. Awful restaurant. Poor service, unfriendly staff, poor food. We ordered stewed vegetables for the price of 6 lev (photo attached), and this is just cooked freezing carrots, peas and corn and pork kebab with vegetables for 20 lev (photo attached), hard meat, not salted from vegetables, 1 slice of fried pepper and a little fried onion . This restaurant is not recommended to anyone.

If you want to try fresh seafood, you will hardly succeed. I asked several times - frozen mussels or fresh ones ??? I was told that of course fresh, ONLY FRESH! In fact, it turns out that from a portion of 800 grams of mussels, only 10 are fresh, and the rest are frozen. The second dish of mussels is the same, they threw 3 fresh ones, thats enough for the taste.I myself am a chef, for over 15 years and I am good at high-quality seafood.Service: the waiters are professionals, but as soon as they see that you are not a money bag, they lose interest and want to work mediocre.

Good location, but the food was not to our taste and the prices seemed high. Hygiene rules are not observed during the pandemic, none of the waiters having a mask or gloves. In fact, the lack of masks and gloves at the waiters seems to be a problem throughout the resort.

Bad restaurant, Service 0.0. Even 1 star is too much to judge. We wanted to try Bulgarian cuisine, but the waiters didnt want to help us. We asked 3 times to explain the menu, but they were way too busy with other things and didnt have time for us. Instead of an English Menu, we were given a Romanian and Bulgarian Menu and we had to figure out what it contained. We were seven, they could take a little effort to help us. Then we thought, it would be, maybe those people are too busy and have too few staff. Then we had made a choice and asked the waiter to place an order. They had no Kebap, which was in the menu, no Tarator (Bulgarian soup), which was also in the menu, also no grilled chicken, which was also on the menu. We just saw the chickens on the grill and no they were already ordered according to the waiter. Then we thought, its enough! we are leaving. Then we canceled our order and we left for a Georgian restaurant Tbilisi, where we had a delicious meal and were also very well helped. So I absolutely dont recommend anyone to go to The Old House.

Avoid this restaurant. High prices, horrible service. I ordered grilled pork ribs but they were so strong that I couldnt cut them with the knife.
