Good College but nowadays its becoming not good because of worst management....All management committee acts like a dictators... Specially Controller of Examination head...But Lecturer are so good and very helpful to students...

NIE is one of the top colleges in Mysore and Karnataka the placement are very good. To get admission in CSE branch you should get atleast 5000 rank in kcet to get addmission in counseling or you go through management q. But the fees of mq is very high around 10 lakhs as donation and fee is separate around 2.5 lakhs.

This is one of the reputed private engineering colleges in Karnataka.This college offers bachelor and master degrees in various engineering disciplines. Infrastructure is nice, especially of EEE and ECE departments, because they are newly built. There is a separate departmental buildings for each branch.Various technical and non-technical clubs operate in this college. College gives great support to its students for innovative projects. Sports activities are highly encouraged here.Placements are fantastic in this college. Many great companies come here for recruitment of students. As this college has tags with many foreign universities, doing M.Tech abroad after graduating from here becomes easy.I too study engineering in this college. College is good, but not good in hostel.Worst hostel management, they ask us for a big amount of fees and would not provide facility worth the amount. Food is not at all good.Except cleaning part, nothing is good in that hostel.

It has been two years since I graduated. Passed out with no job in hand even though I had 8+ CGPA, on my own for months I looked up for jobs and then cleared the interview and worked at a Ministry of Defence company, for one year and now selected at another central government company, meanwhile still looking for a job.The faculty is all good in their own ways, some are the best some are the worst. It solely depends on how many extra curricular activities and groups you join, where you do internships, what your final year project gonna be. So dont expect placements, especially in Mechanical branch, to be all done good. Name sake IT companies held interviews and some people were selected.Overall, if you get selected into college, have fun, study well and more importantly do things that add well into your resume for career growth. Even if there are backlogs, clear it within final sem. It doesnt affect that big a deal when you are out on your own looking for job after graduating.When it comes to infrastructure, the campus is having a NH running through it, in a way. The old buildings are well maintained and as sophisticated just as the new ones. The labs are also dated with some old equipment and some new ones. The canteens food are ok ok, bit expensive. Theres leisure time carrom, table tennis, mini football court, shuttle badminton court and other recreational activities at scheduled times. Make the best use of reference section of library.4 years are just gonna pass as soon as you begin to realise it!

I personally recommend not to go by the hype that has been created for this college, and go through this review which might be helpful.1. Administration: Though they claim the college is being run under the guidance of a youth icon N. R. Narayana Murthy. Its not PRO STUDENT.Certain examples of how they put forward rules for their own personal benifits are :-> Ex Dean had postponed a few internals for his daughter who is studying in the same college as they were headed for a personal vacation. And also came new rules of re-examination as his daughter had failed in a few subjects.-> Students who have serious medical conditions (surgery&etc) who was unable to take part in the test, was not arranged for an alternative. Hence lost a year. But if were any teachers children the alternative would have been considered.-> Many such instances have come into light and alot of teachers have to removed from high positions as they were implementing rules. In the last two years pricipal has been changed twice, and also many other major position such as the Dean, COE. So you can imagine what state of mind the college has been running in.-> Doesnt have 100% working labs. And the library has not updated their books ever since.-> Doesnt have a working student portal which has been functional throughout a sem.2. Teachers: Its an unequal blend of very helpful caring and highly egoist behaviour. BEWARE IF YOU ARE A MANAGEMENT STUDENT YOU WILL BE IN TROUBLE CONSTANTLY.-> If at you all man up to challenge a teacher they will make sure your stay in the college is disturbed in the worst way possible.This is from a parents concern that you make sure you give it thought before you put your child into this college. Cause once you are in no is there to answer to your concerns.

My views of NIE Mysore.I was very lucky to study in such prestigious college.I was in very quite and clam environment for 4 years to have peace of mind and concentrate on whatever things I wanted to do.Overall I met fabulous people.I accept the infrastructure is limitation but thats okayFaculties were encouraging . Few of them were very impactful and very dynamic .Placements and reputation of college is very good.To be honest college life in NIE provides you time and environment to be whatever you want you just need to be self motivating and curious enough to explore as NIE will provide you atleast the basic tools to start with.It applies to any educational place.NIE Mysore will provide everything for everyone to start with but it is depended on attitude of students how far they can go (generic to any place you go for studies).But overall NIE ,Mysore has Good infrastructure and Free environment. With student friendly staff and resources, makes it an Excellent place to study.
