Staffs was good.. Facilities also good and less cost comparing to other resorts nearby . I will highly recommend for friends and family.

Rooms are fine, services are not. Its ok if youre just with friends or solo, and want a clean and quiet place to stay nearby the town. We booked for three persons and they refused to provide extra amenities for the extra person, then we had to call customer care & get it shorted. Food is ok. Services are slow because theres only one person attending to all the rooms. They need more staff.

Staff doesnt even shown courtesy to open the gate waited almost 20 -25 minutes at 04:00 am a short guy wearing red hoody asked us to wait and when we left we saw the same guy watching us through the window never opt such a hotel ...poor guest management

The staff and manager are very polite, hotel gives a nice view to tea plantation. its walkable distance to the main town, however you will enjoy the village atmospher. and food is great, the person who is in kitchen is very polite. great stay in this hotel.

ProsLocated in the heart of the city. Well connected to all sides of Munnar and ideal if you just need a place to spend the night and freshen up for the daily sightseeing. Car parking is available and the view from the rooms is pleasant. The management was welcoming.ConsRooms are decent at best. TV quality is also just manageable. Would not recommend this place if you are looking to enjoy the weather from your room.

The Poopada Resort was so nice to stay. We can view the hills from the room also. The room was so clean and the food also delicious. Manager and other workers are very friendly. They are more helpful to us.

Absolutely loved the place. The view from topfloor was amazing. They provided us with hot water for both washroom and drinking. The staff were pretty good. And supportive. They also arranged for a tour guide for us in munnar m its in the heart of the town. Where the ksrtc bus stand is at Stone throw distance. Lovely food near by. They have a restaurant of their own too. The blankets and beds were comfy. Highest recommendation.

Recently we 4 friends stayed in this resort. I came to know that this resort is the first resort in Munnar. Clean room having very friendly staff having big Parking area. As per my request please take a cup of Tea u becomes fan of Popada resort. Know the renovation work. In progress. Glad to visit again with family.Im posting the butifull picture near Munnar.

Good Hotel

We stayed for 2 nights in Super Deluxe Rooms (306 and 307) during Christmas holidays. Although rooms were quite spacious but had no maintenance. Our comforter (kambal) had bid holes! When opened side table drawer, used liquor bottles were found. Management doesnt bother to clean the room properly before handing over even though we checked in around 7 pm (6 hrs after the usual check in time- ppl couldnt clean the room in 6 hrs!!!!!). A broken photo was hanging in the room and Bathroom was dirty with used soaps from previous ppl stayed in!This was the worst hotel we stayed during our Kerala trip. You can find other better quality well maintained hotels in this price around Munnar town. So, big NO NO from my side for Poopada Resort (its just a stand alone hotel without any resort facility) Munnar.

Bad experience. fraud hotel and management. Dont book this hotel, if you directly book this hotel and cancel the booking they will not refund your money even after they promise to refund the amount.We had booked this hotel for diwali (Nov) last year on 4th Aug 2018 and then we cancelled this hotel due to flood in kerala. They replied to our cancellation email after 1 month, confirming our cancellation and refund of the amount. But they have not yet refunded the amount after almost 10 months. Worst hotel. Beautiful from outside but when you enter the rooms... Stinking smell.. Broken toilet seats and also you cannot stand a minute in the toilets.. They give torn blankets and dusty bedsheets and smelly blankets. It was very cold in munnar.. And they dont even give proper blankets.. When asked for them they start quarreling with us. Poor service and bad staff. FELL ILL.

Nice location. Room size and balcony are good. Very bad bathroom and furnitures(including cot) very poor housekeeping. Not hygiene. Very old and bad bedsheets and towels. There is no restaurant and any other servive people. Please dont plan with this property

The property is little old. Apart from this everything is good. I didnt order anything at the resort as I was just there for night halt. Location of the property is good and its nearby town hall so easily approachable.

I stayed in the month of december 2016 with my family and also my friends family. This is a hotel in the munnar town itself. The rooms and facilities are not comparable to the room rate.In the room we stayed there was bad smell in the bathroom. Though their service is fast and approachable, this is a comparatively old property and not a resort. the location is central but not where you prefer to see scenic beauty or can enjoy munnar climate.

I have booked a room in this hotel under its name Super Deluxe Room. The three bed room super deluxe room is totally a simply an ugly room, Blanket & curtain are dirty, a small CRT TV is placed instead of flat screen tv as claimed. Bathroom is dirty, no proper drainage system. More over no cancellation policy prevails. They refused me to cancel the booked room and simply refused to pay money back to me. However they claimed 100% money back against the cancellation. The hotel is not showing any hospitality instead showing hostility. Room service isvery poor. Dinining is very poor. Total waste of money. I advised not to book room in this hotel.

The hotel is nice..calm and safe. Views of Munnar are not that good from rooms..the staff are nice.They called us to remind about our few things forgotten in room. Small TV, that too dysfunctional remote can be updated..otherwise its good. Food, we didnt taste..so no comments..

It is a nice property with beautiful views from the terrace. Running hot water for a limited time. Also has a decent parking facility. The only drawback is that it lacks an elevator and some rooms need maintenance.

When we entered the rooms we were about to fell down because of the stinking smell. First day, the bed sheets were very dirty and blanket were very thin and torn. STINKING SMELL IN THE BATHROOMS. not a 3-STAR. It is even not 1-star. Even though the location is beautiful but hotel is worst. It was very cold Munnar and when asked for extra blankets... They start fighting. Worst staff. Manager not available at night. We asked the room boy to smell the toilet. He couldnt even stand there. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

Great location. Not maintained properly. Hot water time from 6am to 10am but doesnt supply before 7am. Bed smells musty, blankets smelly. WiFi poor.

The staff is very cooperative. Perfect location,neither too far nor too close to the market. North Indian Food is quite expensive. The only problem with the resort is they dont have lift.

First of all there is lot of confusion around booking (especially through web sites) this hotel. When you reach the hotel, the hotel staffs explanation about room/tariff etc is totally different from what you read/heard from the web site (eg: goibibo). Never try food in this hotel, it is pathetic and over priced, it is better go outside and have food. Pros, very close to the town , Cons, bad and over priced food, lacking clarity at the reception about bookings (I strongly feel that they use ******* for marketing purpose only but never honor an online booking at par).

Poopada Resort had given us a homely atmosphere while i stayed there for 2 days.Now i recommending my friends when u go Munnar stay at poopada . My 5 friends with family stayed there on last month & all of them were satisfied.

I am a software engineer and visited Munnar last week with my parents, wife and 7 month baby. We planned this trip after almost a year as we were not able to go out because of new-born and had some good expectations from this trip to relax and enjoy our stay in famous Munnar. We booked this hotel from*******website with an option as PayAtHotel and received confirmation. with in few minutes hotel manager called us and asked to transfer **** Rs. in advance to confirm this booking (It is no where mentioned on website), when we denied he said your booking is not confirmed. I raised the complaint to ******** and they resolved it after talking with hotel and assured me that hotel manager was not aware about terms and conditions and my booking is confirmed.On check-in day, I called hotel manager and said i would be 2 hr. late for checkin. The manager reverted with saying you dont have confirmed booking and all there hotel rooms are occupied with guests. I was shocked and my trip started spoiling from here. I called *******help center and explained this problem, they again called hotel and negotiated to give me an alternate room in some other hotel (On search I found that this was very low standard hotel), I refused to take these rooms and in response I was asked either to choose this option or I can cancel my booking. Since I was traveling with my family and has no other option, I accepted new hotel thinking to raise complaint once trip is over.We reached hotel, location was just Ok, its situated in old Munnar around 1.5 km from main city hub. Some how, by this time his 2 rooms got available and he didnt hesitate to fill those with us in same hotel. When asked, why they cancelled earlier, they give more priority to advance paid bookings. Hotel owner was standing along with manager and on talking with these guys I found that they dont care about their words/terms and conditions from ******* and consider this website as inferior to give any value.We checked-in into rooms, Here is how their deluxe rooms look like - Rooms were smelling and toilet jet was broken and was wrapped with tape, floor appeared as wooden to me in picture but actually it was made from cheap tiles. Room had 14 inch old time T.V. 1 tube-light in room, bad mattress were like hostels, there was a mirror hanging in room hardly of *** Rs. overall it was not at all Deluxe room and was a 1 star budget hotels standard room. Hotel boast itself to be a resort, but its actually a 4 stories building. No food room service, if you are more than 5 people than they can prepare food for you.Further, I asked hotel owner to fix the broken tap and asked when they knew that jet is broken then why they didnt fix when Guest are coming every day. he gave lame excuse as we are not aware. He made an excuse that plumber is not available. We asked to change both rooms (ours and parents) but he agreed first to change only one. When we refused, hotel owners father started shouting and turned door with force making a big blast sound :), probably he was a egoist and had great proud on his cheap hotel. When we saw adjacent room as un-occupied he has to change other room as well.Bad experience didnt over here, since we had a 7 month baby with us we were dependent on hotel for sterilising milk bottles and giving us hot water, for these we had to call Hotel guys tens of times and some time has to come down 4 floors just to remind him that its very urgent as baby was crying continuously. Problem is, that this hotel has only 1 person who does all rooms cleaning, baggage lifting and provides all room services. so its hard to manage guests.In short, I booked this hotel thinking its well located (Its not), rooms are good (they are not), stay would be pleasant (it was worst), hotel guys are cheaters and money minded with low self esteem.I will never recommend this hotel to any family or guest, there are much better hotels available in Munnar in same price band. Room categorisation of this hotel are wrong. Their Deluxe are actually Standard, Super Deluxe are low grade Deluxes. Dont expect much from if you still choose to stay in it.
