Budget stay in pothamedu munnar, and a good view point too, can enjoy the view from the room itself.

The service is not as expected. The food they provide was not cost efficient and the way the make is not satisfied. They asked us to pay 2000 for the first day and 2500 for the second day which not of a good manner.

This place is unique.. What to say.. The view from this resort and the reception of very own Jinnu bhai is equally awesome.You will fall in love at first site to this place and there ambiance. Food is very good and the cook is all the more caring for your taste you ask.Jinnu is exceptional in providing you that extra care you always lookout for .End of our trip was made memorable by Jinnu and team by taking us through a breath taking off road drive on his classy and awesome Jeep..offcourse this is not for the faint hearted 😄All in all Amazing Munnar guys.. Thanks a ton Jinnu bhai and Team :)

Over all stay and hospitality was very good. Location of the hotel is very good too. I had only one concern about the hotel being aroubd 5-6km away from town and there is no transportation facility available. It would be great help if any transportation or contact for transportation to main town can be made available. Thank you for making the stay at HollyHock a very nice one. God bless.

Pathetic service. Not recommendedThey book for deluxe rooms through Goibibo and when you visit there, there isnt any deluxe room available for you.

Its a average hote with very limited rooms. Very less staff.Due to its location, insects pop inside the room very often. View from cafeteria of this hotel is amazing.. you can spend hours sitting there.Hotel is not on the main road of Munnar, so when I went there, roads were in pathetic condition.“Raja†the solely responsible person was really helpful. Food is good and they maintain the cleanliness. They has their own kitchen and cook by their own.If you are a Airtel user, you might not get networks there in your room. Overall experience is good. I’ve uploaded some pics with the view from this hotel.Cheap n best.

For starters.. Terrible service. Rude and very irresponsible staff. No proper facilities. No hot water, actually no water at all. Planned a stay for 3 days, cut it down to 1 day, all thanks to the facilities provided there. Mediocre rooms. Also terrible food.

Its nice place to stay with natural view. Located little inside from the city. We can get good natural view. Food also good and average cost. They arranged fire camp in night.

The Holly Hock is located at deep in hills. The night sky is awesome for stargazing. Surrounded by trees ... That are washed by high speed air... & causing trees to make sound of gushing sea waves.There are separate rooms from where you can enjoy the scenic beauty. (Large windows)I saw the Sun Rays coming dashing the mountains from open gallery like room.And food.- Try chili panner.

We booked for a Group stay of 25 nos. Good quality tasty food.But Quatity of portion is very small.So each person must have order seperate dish. Stay was Good. Staff co operative.

We had booked this hotel for two days. When we reached the hotel, the view was breathtaking and initially Jinu greeted us and welcomed to the hotel. There is some connectivity issues with Jio, but later we realized that the Wi-Fi was no good as well, it barely worked.There are no restaurants nearby so we had to only depend on the hotel for food. The dinner was had in complete darkness as no they had no electricity backup.When we complained about the same, the staff was not at all helpful and rather apprehensive. The breakfast was again terrible. There was no availability of hot water as well.With hopes of a homely stay and good Kerela food, it was rather disappointing. I would be avoiding Maat Hotels from next time.

Nice property. The accommodation was so comfortable. Served with a nice food and hospitality. The locality of the hotel is very easy to reach. I found each and everything very well managed in this hotel. Staying there was really a nice experience.

A wow location..little difficult to find initially but excellent..in midst of the clouds with full fog and excellent view is great..no card accepted is the one thing little odd. But very near to all shops and hotels..peaceful silent and chilling..run by two ppl ..deepak was very helpful and friendly..a nice stay with my family..homely made food limited though but good..

The view was wonderful. Clean room and bathroom. Staff was nice. Really quiet place. The breakfast was quite poor. They should work on that if they offer it in the price of the room. They could use some of the wonderful local products that they have, like the tea and the strawberry jam.

This review is for the restaurant attached to the hotel. The restaurant offers terrific and serene view of valley as it located on edge of hill. A good place for relaxing, chit chatting and enjoying the view. We had tea and french fries here. It tasted well.

The place is on the edge of the valley. I would strongly recommend Googling for the pictures. Just 2 people manage it and share responsibilities like cooking, managing customers, etc. Hence, the service is a bit slow but the quality of food, well behaved behavior of staff would more than compensate it. View is simply the best in Munnar. You wont be disappointed. Go ahead and book without worry!

A wonderfull place to spend a couple of days with friends and family in a lush green surrounding...service was good and was reasonably priced

Youll get an amazing view from the cafe.The young staff are really helpful who even agreed to drop our group of 6 to a nearby hotel on their scooters(2).But they do not have prices of food items specified on their menu so that they can ask any amount as they wish..

The hotel is a bit far from the city it would be better if u have ur own vehicle.The location of the hotel is very good and especially the view from hotel is terrific. Restaurant is available. But the food served is not worth for money. Better get ur food from city. They arranged camp fire And vehicle for site seeing, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is disaster. Totally disappointed us . I booked it after referring some reviews from different sites. All they were saying that it has great location & views. Yes it having good location and good views from hotel.But this point is also its negative point. Its located so far from main Munnar city and it will also take around 100 rs. to reach there by auto. Food was so bad and tasteless. Even they charges for water bottles! We traveled whole Kerala not a single hotel charged us for water. Main its manager is so scary *or not giving that surety that you can trust on him. In night you found out yourself in scary situation because there were no humans contacts. We had that kind of fear that here anyone can come , break down doors and can harm you ! Its name should be scary hock instead of Holly hock !

I ate vegetarian clear soup which was not tasty. Also I ate vegetarian biriani. I think that it was not fresh, cause peas were already out of the day. I could feel it. My husband ate dahl fried which was great! And of course you will like here view which was very spectaculous in the evening. There are not much people around so you can here birds singing too and enjoy silent with little noise.

This Hotel is located in a beautifull area. Rooms are available from Rs. 2500 to 3000 if you want to have nice view. I give them only two stars because breakfast is really poor and not in time. I want pay this much anymore for thos hotel. Rs 2000 should be enogh for one night for a view room and complementary breakfast.

Very Nice place to stay. Food is very good. Clean rooms and Beds, Jinu and batch was very nice. They put all their efforts to serve us. Literally awesome.

Hotel location is good for us. it having same things as shown in goibibo application . Only once must keep some eating material with themselves because there is no restaurant near to it. we find restaurant service poor at that location. Else it is nice to stay at hollyhock

Ok Ok rooms, get a blanket as only one will be provided. Breakfast is not complimentary, please check the menu before ordering anything to eat. Sometimes a bread omlete could cost you 100/- RS. Alas negativity view is good from here.

Loved the location..nice view.. its only 2-3kms from main town.. but the food there is expensive. I didnt had food from there.. the staffs are very friendly and polite.

Located in a very nice place. The views from rooms are soothing. You can have food with some splendid views of the whole Munnar. A descent resort close to Munnar town on a budget.

At a very scenic location. They even have the photo area and they charge 10rs per person to click pictures from there. I didnt try the food there, but the tea was good.

1 star less for the not so good room service. It can be improved. And food is too costly. A plate of idly costing Rs 100 is unreal and unfair. Rest all is fine. Location and the scenery is splendid. Comfortable stay.

We had booked the deluxe room through Makemytrip. The experience was the only bad one throughout the Kerela journey. When we first came, the view was brilliant, but from there on the bad experiences started to unfold each worser than the previous one.The rooms were clean to look at, but later we came to realize the blankets and the pillows were stained with dirt.The restaurant was not worth the price they quoted and good food wasnt available as well. With no normal water available, only mineral water, each priced much higher than the MRP.No light backup, if electricity is cut, they dont have any generator, and a lot of mosquitos. We went for a walk, and saw all hotels having electricity except ours.If you only want a good view I would recommend it, but the poor service, bad restaurant quality with next to no Wifi connectivity and the distance from Munnar town made it a very bad experience got me.

The view of Munnar and adjoining hills are really beautiful from here. You can enjoy that from your room. But every room is not view friendly, and fooding here is costly.

Hotel is located at terrific location . It was simply ausome. u can get spectacular view of the valley & sunrise . The facilities r good .They have hardly 4rooms . Food overthere is very costly .

The rooms were awful. The commode was overflowing and when we asked for a repairing it they said it cant be repaired. So we asked for a different room , the staff said a deluxe room is available but we have to pay extra for it and we were ready to pay also but that room was no better than the others. After so much discussion, the staff accommodated us in some other resort(spice jungle) . Spice jungle was better than hollyhock but again not value for money. So my suggestion is dont waste your money in this hotel :)

Wonderfull place to stay in munnar .. where you can enjoy your meals with scenic view . Rooms are maintained hygenixally. You can get veg and non-veg too .

I gave at least 1 star since we experienced to sleep here, but dear fellow travelers, dont try it here, I cant recommend this hotel to each of you who wanted to visit munnar, the bed is big for 1k, yes but its dirty, the toilet is so smelly and and the bowl was about to separate from where it was placing,. And instead of giving us blanket, they put a recycled top cover like a comforter and it was so dirty. And on bed we noticed something like dirt falling from somewhere. Myghaaad. The food was so expensive like supper expensive, a fried rice and smelly chicken curry for 2 is 700+ RS.. eeehhhh

Decent Hotel at < Rs ** . Staff was very cordial & arranged local site seeing also . Could not charge mobile due to frequent power failure - around 8 km from Munnar town...

Any tourist can enjoy the bison Valley view, from this hotel. It is a good hotel for a family to stay.overall at last I find it as a good hotel to stay in Munnar.

Worst service. Worst room. Did not wanted to try any food. Toilets leak. Taps were broken. The only good thing would be the view, hot water and wifi (which kept giving up few times). For the price, there would be much better hotels/resorts.

The view from the resort is fantastic, superlative. But small place; so do not expect much; nice and cozy; service is poor; car parking is difficult. Better to plan your food elsewhere.But very good value for money.

Rooms were dirty, and the staff was very impolite, my advice to travelling couples would be to carry your marriage certificate because they harassed us about it. Lucky for us my parents sent a picture of it on WhatsApp. But for the effort of showing the marriage certificate, the rooms were so bad and the food equally bad. Only the view is good enough, but the whole experience of Munnar was made bad thanks to them.
