Visited on January 2021. Beautiful, clean, neat resort. Spacious rooms, Has kids play area, tranquil area, food was also very good. Polite behaviour of staffs.

Very cozy, comfortable and tranquil. If youre looking to get away from all the hustle bustle or even general restlessness this place is the best option. There is a common park for the kids, organic farms to explore and common and private campfire facilities all inside the spacious boundary of Camp Noel. The only downside is the road towards the place (it is a bit winding) but once you get there youll see that it is definitely worth it !

Beautiful place, go there for a peaceful calm stay. Very courteous and helpful staff. Food was tasty though items were limited. Loved the stay at camp noel and the visit to nearby farm. The route is difficult to reach but its worth. A suggestion is that they could put a bit more effort to improve the facilities in bathrooms.

Perfect for couples and families .Just relax and enjoy the nature ,no need to visit any nearby view point or any trekking .The resort itself looks spectacular than any other tourist spot.Nb - journey to this place takes almost 2-3 hr from munnar town. There wont be any shops or anything near the resort.

Camp Noel.. Me & wife were here after our marriage. Had great time staying in here. Amazing place for couples to spend some quality time together. Staff is good and professional. Food is also good and they also have fun n recreation activities.Nearby attractions include Top Station (6.1 km), Kundala Dam Lake (5.5 km), and Pampadum Shola National Park (4.5 km)

We had a one day stay with our 4 year old son. Stay was good 👍 with neat room and bathroom.. Hot water was available.. Regarding the ambience it was pretty nice.. Food was buffet.. Amazing property in a quite secluded location at vattavada. Stayed for one night with family and it was quite a great experience. Very family friendly and safe, must say about the amazing service provided by staff.

A good place to stay with your family. Excellent food and services. You can spend a whole day inside this property itself. Infact, no negatives to point out.NB: what really negative was the congested Koviloor town. People have a habit of parking vehicles on either side of narrow steep road.

WARNING: Do not take the shortcut route Google maps offers you. You need a 4x4 jeep to reach the resort. Take the longer route instead via Top Station: even this route is in a bad shape right now. Try reaching the resort before sunset as there are no lights and hardly anyone around. Only BSNL phones work here. Location is awesome however food is just average.

Mindblowing Location & Excellent property, services are fine, still there are chances of improvement. Kids would love thats sure. Food quality is Ok, but choices are few. But as its a season after a great pandemic, cant blame anyone.

Pros:- Resort is well maintained and very beautiful- Rooms are good- Climate is fantastic (goes below 10*C at night)- Wifi is available in rooms- Well suited for couples and families(have a good kids play area)- A badminton court is also present(average)Cons:- Very hard to reach the place- No network coverage in the area- Complimentary breakfast was average- I felt that they try their best to squeeze extra money out of you in every ways they can***They charge extra 1200 for grill chicken. They dont allow us to do grilling by ourself. The same person who told us its against their rules to allow outside food later asked us extra Rs.500 to allow us to do grilling (stick to your rules 😁) dont just make rules to loot money from guests- The food is expensive here and there are no other restaurants near the resort.- Activities are limited and having no pool is a down side- Hot water is not available all the times

I stayed at camp noel with my friends during Christmas 2020. Single room cottage was clean and well maintained...very good stay for families with quite a no. Of outdoor activities for adults and children...however the hospitality was pathetic..although their check in time is 12 noon our cottage was not ready even at 5 pm..Buffet dinner @ INR 500 was sub standard, cold food was served inspite of complaining .. complementary breakfast was average..sad and dull songs were played during campfire which were not changed in spite of complaining..

A bit out of the way... about 1hr45min away from Munnar...A lovely location to chill with family and friends but not much else to do... An appx 25acre property in which some cottages, a childrens play area, some vegetable and strawberry patches which you can visit... One can take 25km jeep ride (2hrs) around the surrounding towns/villages, visit some small vegetable and strawberry plots etc.. but thats it... not much else to do. Service was great... food was made to order (as occupancy was low as we visited during a non holiday week) and well made. So not sure of how it is on full occupancy when its mostly buffet... (please note there is no other restaurant/resort nearby that one can go out and eat..). The staff though mostly new were outgoing and eager to help. We managed to purchase lovely strawberries from the in house farm.Things they can improve upon...maintenance ... we stayed in a two bedroom ensuite cottage... but the shower did not work in one of the ensuites..as the shower knob was broken and not replaced..similarly the washbasin had hot and cold water taps.. of which one was broken and not replaced... Small issues but affects the overall upkeep of the place... (though work was going on in some of the other cottages.. so maybe this too will get a face-lift).. would have loved to have more of the locally grown produce (strawberry jam, tamarillo juice, passion fruit juice) instead of the the standard mixed fruit jam, watermelon juice or pineapple juice).. Small things that could have pushed the rating from 3 to 5..

We spent 2 nights in a 2bhk cottage at Camp Noel. The experience is unforgettable, be it the climate, the cottage, the service or the food. The temperature ranged between 9 degrees at night to about 16-17 degrees during the day.The place has a charm of itself and you cannot but stay for more than just one night. Although the resort is said to be over 25years old, it is very well maintained and you will never feel that the place lacks any amenity. The cottages are beautiful with french windows in all rooms, 24*7 running hot water, fireplace (they provide you with the wood n some fuel). Theres a play area for kids; theres also a shuttle court and options to play carroms or frisbee.If you plan to stay here, please dont skip their jeep ride. Its a 2 hour drive through the villages and local roads, which you may miss out on your own vehicle. In the jeep ride, you get to visit the local strawberry farm and vegetable farm. The driver who accompanied us was a gentleman and kept us entertained with interesting pieces of information about the place. He was also very patient as he waited for us to see the farms and get back to the jeep.The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, including the managers, the kitchen staff and the jeep driver.There arent many places to visit nearby except for the local farms. If you want to do nothing and just sit back n relax completely in the company of nature, this is the right place for you.

The property as such is awesome. Huge area with a lot of facilities for a family; big play area for children, camp fire, barbeque..... The cottages are well maintained except for the water quality. Black water was flowing through the taps and had to wait for long for clear water. Overall I would have given 4 stars, but the experience we had with the manager there Mr. Thampi is the main reason for the bad rating. We had a buffet dinner arranged by the hotel but when we went for dinner 45 minutes before the closure there was only a little bit almost all food was finished. When asked asked the manger Mr. Thampi about it his reply was that this was all they had and we had to eat whatever was left over. I dont know this facility is going to survive with such irresponsible personals. Hope the management see this review and fire such ****** for smooth running in future.

Amazing property, couple of great supporting staffs, freezing climate, camp fire, large lawn are ( thats all its left to remember about this place after my trip). This is the second time I am visiting this resort and unfortunately the new management team has utterly failed to keep up its old glory. Let me list out a few things which I have experianced while this trip. 1. Food was very average intact some of us didnt even get food as buffet food was over , A very rude-rediculas manager, waste (black color) water in bathroom pipes, very old furnitures ( infact if you dont check the chair before you sit, it might break your back. I almost did ), everything is over priced. Its infact a great place to have a chillax time with ur friends and family but these new folks are screwing it all together. So thats it, now you decide! Cheers

One of the best resort/stay I have ever experienced in my life. Colonial style buildings are so nice to see. The location, atmosphere and everything is fine. Have dedicated fire space in rooms. Good hospitality and food. Breakfast is buffet and complementory. Things for routine life is already there, we need to just enter here with dress only. Soap, Brush, Paste, Combs, Shampo, Oil, Moisturizer etc will be provided in rooms for visitors. Landscaped areas, facility for playing kids are awesome. Once we stay here, we will be attracted to get to there frequestly mainly due to the beauty of location and the amazing climate. The thing need to improve is lighting around the property, light is just OK, since the property is close to the forest less light makes a small fear in our heart.

Remote area with access to wifi and neat cottage and atmosphere

When I called them at they morning they said we have rooms for bachelors. After that when I again called them at night then they said there is no room for bachelors and also camp noel resort is strictly for family only🙌dont know whats happening there.

Really nice place here.

The location by the hillside and the architecture of the cottages gives it a special feel. The property is huge and the cottages are spacious. Its suitable if you want to spend some lonely time. Meanwhile, its also good for groups wanting to enjoy a campfire and barbeque night. All the cottages have a fireplace inside and a lawn in the front. Except for visits to strawberry farms in the village, there is nothing to see in this place.

Beautiful place but had a very bad experience. It is very hard to reach this place require almost 1 hour journey from vattavada forest checkpost. Camp will not provide any plates in the room not even for your snacks and chips as outside food is not allowed. We asked and they turned down felt ao bad in the beginning. There is no 24/7 hot water , water was so dark and dirt looked like sewage water even in the kitchen sink . So we complained they said it is normal. Complimentary breakfast was another bad experience lot of guests entered the restaurant and waiting after having 1 peice of bread so they could fill another set of 5 puries . We waited like 1 hour still did not get any puries so we filled ourself with bread and jam. There will be only one towel per room. The place doesnt have network except for BSNL. And land phones in room will not work so if you need anything better get the managers watsapp number. Overall the location is very beautiful . We expected a rich experience but disappointed big-time.

If you are going to Munnar, you should go to Vattavada, the land of farm fresh vegetables and fruits. From Munnar, about 45 kilometer, we reach this fantastic Resort locality. Roads are in zig zag way . if you love off road driving, one of the way is suitable for that. Calm and quiet atmosphere. An ideal place to stay and enjoy the cold weather. Good ambience. Excellent view from all cottages. Exotic location. Co-operative staff. Good food. In addition to the cottages, library, conference hall, and the cafe Venice-the dining area, shuttle playing ground, facility for trucking etc are nice. If you miss Camp Noel, that is a big loss

Spacious rooms, good location and food. The rooms are so good and must say their awesome service too. High speed Wifi is available at the reception and restaurant but dont expect the same in your rooms. Only bsnl and jio have ranger over there. The only problem is the road towards the resort.Its so bad and not maintained, and also dont expect any restaurants nearby the resort as the area is located at the top. Will recommend highly to patents with children and for get togethers as they have big cottages (01 and 02 bedrooms) and bug lawn areas with children play areas.

I stayed at Camp Noel with my family and it was a very pleasant experience.Resort is located at Pazhathottam,which is like 2 hours from Munnar.Pros : A very calm & serene resort ,with vast greenery .Amazing breakfast,very simple items yet tasty.Very friendly & courteous staffCons : Road to Camp Noel is not easy after Koviloor.No range or wifi available.No network for any other mobile other than BSNL.Vattavada is not still a popular destination as compared to Munnar so its not as developed and the crowd will also be less.Camp Noel is an old property but well maintained.Tips :Dont follow the google map from Munnar to Vattavada as it shows shortest path ,but it not easily accessible.Instead follow this route :Munnar-Mattupetty-Top Station -Koviloor-Vattavada-Camp Noel.

First of all, the resort is at Pazhathottam near Vattavada which is almost 40 kms away from Munnar town (takes more than 2 hours by road during the day). So it is not a great place to stay for those who are planning for sightseeing in and around Munnar town. But the good thing is that, this is away from all the noises and pollution of the town and has got a better climate as well. It is more cold and has much better air around.There are only individual cottages in the property with a bedrooms, dining area, kitchen and a fireplace. Toilets were clean and functional. The furnishing inside the bedroom and the bed in general was good, but nothing exceptional. The area outside the cottages are well maintained and has an old world charm in it. There are a lot of places for photoshoots. Food was great and can be ordered into the cottages or can be had at the dining hall.The cottages were not having mobile coverage when we visited and hence gave us the chance to enjoy the views of the hills and farms nearby. Plan to reach the property before nightfall as it can be pretty foggy in late evenings.

It’s a Scotland ambience. Exotic location. The travel from Munnar to this resort also rewarding. Vattavada itself is a major attraction with its carrot and strawberry farms. Food is great though bit overpriced. I highly recommend it.

Beautifull place

This is our second experience at this resort and no doubt this is an amazing place. if you like to isolate and be with nature then back your bags immediately 😊. I have to tell about kitchen the chef is a wonderful cook. we are coming again this December ğŸ˜

The ambience is good. Cottages are spacious. However need to make sure that you are booking the cottage rather than the deluxe rooms as cottages as good view,an indoor fireplace and spacious bedroom.There is also a big campfire that they will setup outdoor. Great place to hang out with families or friends.But people who are relying on Google maps alone to reach this place may get misleaded to take a narrow and bumpy road pocket road through the tea estate at Yelappaty. Do not take this road unless you have Off-road vehicle. Take the main route itself. Better to ask directions locally once you reach Top Stations.BSNL the only mobile provider available and better to take some liquid cash for payments as ATM are bit hard to locate

This is one of the finest places in terms of its own beauty and sorroundings. Build in a 13 acre land this property is full of greenery, various fruit trees, flowers, majestic 360 degree views. Cottage rooms come with own fireplaces which are rare to find these days. The caretakers were really warm and caring. Food is average. Located about 40 kms from Munnar. Last 9 kms may take about 40-45 mins but has the most stunning landscape of tree plantations on either side. Their is no traffic on the road, may be due to extremely bad condition of road. Might feel like too much just to reach this place but after that its worth every last bit of your effort. Highly recommended.

What I liked :1. Good behavior from staff2. Chilling winds in the night and camp fire with DJ.3. Excellent landscape.What needs to be improved :1. The food quality and variety- Food options are very limited even in buffet.2. Getting to this place is huge headache . There is not even a single advertisement or sign boards any where in the Munnar Town. No mobile signal after you leave munnar. So cant trust Google Maps. Vehicles upto the size of a tempo traveller can make it without much trouble. But bigger vehicles and sedans are going to find it extremely challenging terrain to get to the resort.3. Despite the campfire there isnt any other activity in the resort. Not even a swimming pool.4. The rooms needs proper maintenance.5. Hot water isnt available round the clock.6. Since only BSNL has signal that too weak the resort should seriously consider expanding their wifi to rooms as well.

Camp Noel is 53 km from Munnar City. But the location is splendid. On top of hill just beside Top Station. And you can find lot of greeneries, mountains, waterfall, strawberry farm around the location. So if you are looking for a place far from locality and close to nature Camp Noel is best choice. Service was awesome and hotel staff are very polite. Note: only BSNL network is available so it is good if you have BSNL connection.

Excellent place in Munnar. This is not in Munnar but close to top station. Location is amazing. Service, food are all very good. They have independent well maintained cottages with fire place inside. Easily you can stay here for 2 days. A huge property with ample space between cottages. Privacy is assured.

Its not just a stay, it is an amazing experience which I will suggest all to have atleast once. Peaceful and relaxing, you need not worry about anything. Their food is also good and available at very reasonable price. Located at a distance of almost 50 km from Munnar, but these extra miles are worth traveling for the unique experience. But the tourists who are interested in sightseeing shouldnt visit this place as it will not serve their purpose.

This is an offbeat resort perfect for those who seek peaceful vacations and stress reliefs. The property is almost 2 acres of beautifully landscaped area with individual cottages and a club house. The place is very far from Munnar town. The only mobile network that has coverage is BSNL. Wifi is free and available only in lobby and restaurant. Rooms are a bit old but still adjustable. The view is wonderful. Food is of genuine quality and taste.

As all is fine about the hotel I just wanna touch upon the errors I did during the tripI didnt get in touch with the hotel until I was lost on the wayBy the way, Yes I was totally lost on the wayWith Google Maps guiding me I could just cross Tamilnadu ..... no signal thereafterI thought I was smart enough to take snapshots of the route and I followed the sameBut after an hour and a half of wrong route drive I found that I was not in the right route .... I was perfectly as per Google but unfortunately there wasnt drivable roads after that point .... Its a beautiful hotel in deep jungle. Staff is very helping, imp point to note that there is gate entery to the jungle which close at a particular time therefore you must check with camp reception about that if you are late in the evening. No network in the camp except BSNL which the camp staff provide. An awesome place for newly married who loves nature. Absolutely calm place. If you love peace and nature two day stay is better then one. Campfire and parking available. Food also awesome

This place is nearly 45-50 Km away from Munnar bus stand...and the road is very scary but beautiful..Once you reach there you will forget whole pain reaching there....My suggestion is first you visit other places of Munnar and then come here.....You need not to go for sightseeing by from here.....Just relax there....There is one vast tea garden there which is just 1-1.5 km away from the place....I must say that you can spend whole day with loved ones there.....and just behind you will have Anaimudi Shola National park......The best part about the place is very secluded and also very safe to visit with family......The locals usually dont know other language but Malayalam......The food in resort is awesome and reasonable....The provide packaged mineral water for free.....The staffs are very cooperative...Tips:You should have a BSNL sim as other sim dont have coverage..... One more tip please go there with cash as you will not find any ATM or card payment option there...Just enjoy the beauty of nature....you will feel closer to Nature.....loved it

Wanted to visit the place for long and was very happy with the experience. The Staff was the best I have ever met. I am not someone who say I am satisfied with the location, service and food at once. This was amazing. The manager or GM was very courteous and highly professional. The breakfast was exceptional. Three of us friends wanted to thank the chef in person. I would say this is one of the beat resorts in Kerala.

Best hotel have ever been to. Location is difficult to reach but awesome service & hospitality. In such remote area also whatever food u asked for is provided wit a smile on their face. I had been here in 2011 August. Cottages are beautiful, views of mountains, chilled breeze & wood fire.. Wow

Wow! Just wow! The place is breathtaking! Amazing location and wonderful hospitality. It is quite far from the main city and you may actually dislike the road to the resort... But once you are there, you will be left speechless. The mesmerizing western ghats, beautiful sunrise and sunset, lovely food and courteous staff... Sum it up and that is what Camp Noel is.

Very very luxurious and perfectly stationed in the lap of nature (around 40km from munnar)..Great sport amenities place,hot water and tremendously peaceful.

Though its a bit difficult to reach this place, after arriving here its bliss. Amazing landscapes, misty mountains, great service and polite locals. Do roam around and see the local farms, the fruits sold here are also of amazing quality. Overall, a good place to step back and relax with family/ introspect alone.

We cut short our 2 day stay to 1 day. Place is very scenic and beautiful. We were 2 couples and a kid and there is little engagement on the property itself so go with right perspective and plan. It’s quite isolated so nothing much else to do. Meals you are fully dependent on the resort itself and a dinner buffet costs 550/- bucks which for us had two veg dishes, rice and chapati.The staff definitely is very helpful and polite and second best part of property after the scenery.Our big put off was our scary and nerve wrecking ride through the off road route that google map shows. It’s damaging to the car and we reached that section at dark so that made it quite a hell ride. The verbal guidance of staff was not very helpful to us and more confusing.Ensure you add stops on google map of Vattavada so that it takes you to the alternate and actual motorable route. It will be a good option for those who prefer to stay away from the crowd. Ideal for a stay and relaxation rather than sightseeing. Very courteous staff at Reception. Good resort, rooms are good and clean but need to clean more than that, Bathroom should clean and care more. Otherwise everything Awesome. Especially the Loan settings. Gardens 15acre property. Should visit once. Vattavada Pazhathottam. We enjoyed a LOT

Camp noel is an amazing property in Vattavada. Mind blowing views from room, excellent service, room boys and managers are simply kind and awsome. One thing i thankfull to them as the area is not have any coverage for any network other than bsnl and i dont hove bsnl sim, they have given one phone with bsnl sim card for my use in entire my stay time. really amazing service. food also good but little costly but acceptable. Main thing to note all travellers that its just only maximum 50km from munnar but it will take almsot 2.5 Hours from munnar, mind it plan accordingly. try to reach there before 6 and that will be good. Roads are not too good, some offroading alos u have to experience.
