Well..its a big brand however I felt its slightly overrated. Quality wise the food is good as it uses good quality ingredients. Taste wise I would say its average especially the Biryanis. The cost is at a higher than its peers so there is higher expectations but it does the fair job of being around expectations but not meeting expectations. Overall not a bad choice if one wants to have Bengals cuisine but dont keep high expectations on taste. Again quality of ingredients I had no problems with the food, its just the taste did not meet my expectations of Biryani I had in Kolkata.

Its a must try place for everyone! Especially if youre a seafood lover and a Bengali food lover. For the first time I tried the rajbarir channar kofta curry and I must say its my favorite vegetarian dish from this place. Its paneer and potato balls stuffed with dry fruits and masala in a coconut and tomato gravy. For starters of course definitely try the Calcutta fish fry its a boneless peice served with mustard chutney and best paired with it as well. Also for the vegetarian do give the mochar chop a try.... Its a peas in cutlet shape deep fried... Very crispy. Do end the meal with the sweetest rosogolla ever!

Trying bengali cuisine for the first time and just loved it.I had:1. Calcutta fish fry- this is one appetizer you shouldnt miss if you are a sea food lover, also the fish used is of great quality2. Nizami murgh malai tikka- not your usual malai tikka, but liked the modification and also tastes great with mustard sauce given3. Kancha lonka murgi- was skeptical about this but it turned out to be quite good. Its coriander and chilli based and tastes real yum. Something different from the usual gravies.If you are in to try Bengali cuisine, then do try this place.

If u wanna try the Calcutta food and cousine I would highly recommend OH CALCUTTA.Had Ordered Few Dishes.Murshidabadi Murgi:Tender Chicken starter marinated with egg flour. This Starter was very good in taste and very well balanced with aromatic Spices served with a Mustard dip.Grand Trunk Chicken:The tomato based chicken gravy had a very good taste was was rich and creamy mixed with spices. The gravy had a good texture and aroma as well.Calcutta Chicken Briyani:The Briyani Was good. The rice was very well cooked with the chicken boiled egg and boiled potatoes. Was served with Raita and chopped salad.This Oulet really maintains the safety precautions because order was very well packed in air tight containers with a note mentioning the the the time when the order was dispatched the body temperature of the chef,the person who packed the food and the delivery valet . The delivery was also very prompt because the food was hot when it was delivered. Will surely order from this place again.

Previously gave a five star rating to the restaurant for their excellent and top notch services. However upon visiting a few days a go, i absolutely disliked it. No customer care found. No parking area. Sadly wouldnt want to go back to a place where i was previously very regular.

Recent experience with their mutton biryani was horrible. I have been a customer of Oh! Calcutta for quite some time now. I had ordered food earlier too. But this time around, the mutton biryani delivered was stale!!!!! Had to throw off both the plates. Unusual to experience such quality issues from such an upscale restaurant chain which charges one of the highest amongst its contemporaries. Spoiling the celebrations can not be measured in money though.... A review on Swiggy didn’t even evince even a feedback call from them.

This is the 2nd Oh! Calcutta outlet I have visited- the first time in Delhi & this time here in Vashi. And both the times I have found one thing in common- the food is quite bland when compared to authentic Bengali food. For example, though the quality of Hilsha was good, the mustard gravy didn’t have that strong, pungent flavour. Similarly, the ‘Mochar ghonto’ was perfectly cut & cooked- but it lacked the perfect balance of spices. It might be just the standard way of cooking for this group of restaurants and I don’t blame them. But after paying such high prices for food, my expectations were higher. I went there particularly looking for authentic Bengali food and got a cosmopolitan version of it instead.Other than the food, I have no other complaint. The staffs were really helpful and courteous. The place, though quite small, was perfectly clean.

Oh Calcutta probably serves the best Bengali cuisine in the world. They have a very selective menu in which you can really taste the delicacy of Bengal. We had Railway Mutton curry, Yellow dal and lucchi (Bengali Puri)Each gravy and every dish has its own unique taste to it. Their staff is friendly. I would highly recommend this. Try it atleast once.

Lovely authentic Bengali Cuisine served with great care and affection. Prompt and courteous staff. Seafood dishes are all excellent. The bhapa sandesh and mishti doi are must haves. Nice, well lit interiors with modern decor. Music selection could be a little softer and low key, preferably Bengali music? Great overall experience.

This was third restaurant back to back where we tried authentic bengali food!!.Again this is a small outlet with pretty decent ambience and some tasty Food.Here the order is to be given on digital menu card where in there are photos of all the dishes we click.. This is something nice, as a non bengali person will get a idea about the dish by looking at the picture.So about the food now,We ordered -Mutton kosha with luchi- the mutton was tasty but it was not fully cooked as it was Lil hard.Prawns malai curry n rice- Again this preparation was heavenly and prawns were slightly cooked and were tender and soft I just loved it.Hilsa in mustard sauce - this was steam fish and without bones.. It was good in taste.Bapda fish in mustard curry- personally I didnt liked the mustard curry when compare to the malai curry.. 😍Bengali chutney-this is very famous chutney and is have after the food.. It helps in digestion and is made of dates kishmish and a tangy base, which is seasonal, the one available with the restaurant was in tomato base. (it is also made in pineapple, olive, mango base!)Payesh- malpua and rasagulla payesh was not available with the restaurant so we had to resort to payesh which is made of rice, milk, khoya,sugar /jaggery.The taste was okay not Great but it had less sugar so I liked it and ate it guilt free.

Amazing food and service. For a non-bengali it was a delightful experience to be passionately described about each dish that was ordered. They made us wait for the hilsa due to some confusion and more than made it up with free desert (baked Sandesh).

This place was known for its bengoli food authenticity which has changed now. They are just a like another food chain company. Merging mainland china and Oh!Calcutta is not going to help. Also food quality has dropped we three people has stomach upset later in evening post afternoon lunch in hotel. We cant proof on document it was them. But 100% we didnot had anything else.

Really appreciate the way they went out of their way when I reached around 3:15 pm to accommodate us. Also, suggestions of theirs with last minute orders ensured that there was also a sweet tooth before we left. However, it should be cleared that they are no longer in Shastri Nagar but moved more close to Infiniti Mall Andheri

Went for the Bengali new year special buffet and were more than happy! A good spread of both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. This is where the Bengalis go! So you know its authentic 😎There were 4 options of dessert too!The Baisakh special buffet is on till the 23rd of April.

Oh! Calcutta is simply a hype for Kolkata food lovers. I ordered a Chicken Biryani on 26th Dec20 via Zomato...the Biryani that I received had frozen chicken alongwith the rice which was little warm but had no fragrance or taste which usually the Kolkata Biryani has. Also, these stupid restaurant people had given me Potato n an egg in a separate box and that was frozen too. I was extremely hungry then & really wanted to enjoy n relish a Kolkata Biryani. But Biryani from Oh! Calcutta really was awful. I wish I could give a negative rating to them. Zomato gave me a refund for the Biryani which am thankful. I shall never order or dine in at Oh! Calcutta. Keep fooling the food lovers.

Visited this place yesterday to try hands on some Bengali cuisine.. tried grand trunk chicken with rice. Place is an almost fine dining family restaurant. Food tasted almost North Indian and didnt find any Bengali flavors as such but tasted good. Quantity was pretty less even for a regular portion and staff seemed a bit off.

Good bengali food is their specialty. Marinated mustard fish wrapped in banana leaf, mutton curry and liquid date jaggery ice-cream are must try here.

Paid a visit on a busy October afternoon, so much so that we had to wait in a queue for 15 minutes to get seats assigned to us. The wait was worth it as the food was simply put, delicious. We took the buffet in which adequate options were there for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. The arrangement couldnt have been better. Kudos to the chef. On top of that, the staff was extremely cordial, especially the manager as they took extra care that we had a good time. Overall, the experience was very pleasant. I look forward to my next time there and highly recommend the place to everyone.

As usual Food was tasty & service was also excellent. They truly deliver authentic Bengali dishes in its original way. We travel almost 20km to have this authentic Bengali cuisine. Couple of improvements - Dishes are exorbitantly priced & to much of (7.5%) service charge makes the bill fattier & a big hole in customers pocket. Cant think of frequent visits.

Awesome next to authentic bong food. The staff is courteous to suggest the dishes if you are naive at bong specialty. Too many options for vegetarian as well. Portion is very small and is extremely pricey. The desserts tend to get over so make sure you reach early to satiate your sweet tooth

Food and service was very good but gravies were too overwhelmed by raw mustard flavour even for a Bengali person. True for both the Pabda dishes.Liked the pressure cooker item...it was the star.Sweet dishes were okayish. Not a place to have them definitely from cost value perspective.

One of my favorites. Each and every visit has been a joyous experience. These guys can dish out vegetarian stuff as good as the Non veg one. Availability of Hilsa fish, a big favorite with my Bengali friends, is their another of their unique offering. The staff, I have always found, is well behaved and courteous. I have only one grudge with them, they serve bottled water for which they charge their customers more than Rs 125. The Management refuses to see reason and have been denying their customers and well meaning patrons choice of other equally good and reasonably priced bottled brands like Bisleri, Aquafina, Kinleys etc to name few. Charging more than Rs 125 for a liter of water is not only atrocious but tantamounts to fleecing customers. Oh Calcutta, we love you but request you to stop this practice.

Nice quaint ambience with excellent service and gr8 tasting bong food, however finding a parking outside on the narrow lane is a challenge. They dont serve alcohol even though on food delivery apps it says they do.

Oh Calcutta! food is absolutely delicious . Of late I have been savouring their Bengali Thali food. There is great variety and the quantity is huge...hard to finish. Its real value for money and very tasty. Both veg and non veg Thalis are great. A good way to sample Bengali food for someone unfamiliar with it as well.

So, when I got to try out, Bengali Cuisine, for the first time, I was immensely excited, because I have had heard, rave reviews, about Oh Calcutta, in the past!Oh Calcutta has three outlets in Mumbai, and I had visited the Lokhandwala Outlet! The Outlet is pretty spacious, and they have a Tab wherein, they have their Menu, and pictures of dishes along side each dish! I was there to cover their Hilsa Fish Festival, and not having any knowledge about Bengali Food, I asked the Manager to serve me, their best sellers!The Service, especially was pretty amazing, and I was served some of their best dishes. The Hilsa Fish Festival is on till the end of Monsoon, and they have a specially curated Menu, containing the best of their Hilsa Dishes.In their Starters, the bestest were their Ilish Fish Fingers! The Hilsa was cooked to perfection, and was not overfried! The Mayo Mustard Dip especially, was the bestest part of it! 😍In their Mains, I totally loved their Pabda Tomatoer Jhol, which is a Butterfish cooked in a spicy, Tomato based Curry, the Curry especially was delicious! The Fish was cooked perfectly, as well! 😋
