On entering the restaurant, you’re greeted with a really great ambience. The lighting of the place is also beautiful and soothing. The food overall was amazing. Everything that we ordered was really delicious. The staff were friendly though the service was a little poor and slow. Overall, it’s a must visit and one of a kind restaurant in Chembur. Would highly recommend it. Would rate it 8/10.

Had a horrible experience at via Bombay today.I visited and was given a table of 2 and was asked to scan the QR code to place my order. On placing a soup and platter, I was waiting for 45 mins with 0 assistance or update. Hence I decided to get up and leave after letting the staff know and they had 0 idea about my order status. The manager or staff has no courtesy to even explain the reason or to stop the customer. Importance only given to big groups that is drawing money to them. Never wish to get back to this place.

The hotel promoter spends a lot in creating the environment & the ambiance. LBu they don’t give attention and spend the right amount of money in training their staff. I Though they were polite, unfortunately had very limited knowledge about their food. The food was very ordinary. The Jain soup we ordered had very strong garlic which we could not consume. The starter we ordered - chilli pakoda, was not cooked well and the chilli was just raw.... I can go on. But overall a very disappointing evening !

ViaBombay. So I visited Via Bombay on Christmas. I wanted to visit this place since the day it opened and finally I got a chance. So this place is owned by Mr Ashish Sajnani and is located in hotel Jewel of Chembur. Its more of a family place with a good pleasant and comforting vibe. The cuisine served is Indian but diverse. They have a good spread menu.I appreciate the service and the hospitality I was treated with. What I Tried?DRUMSTICK SOUPThis was unique and a great one to begin my meal with.STARTERSMAHARASHTRIAN PLATTERA paradise for a Maharashtrian indeed. Also, not just Maharashtrians, but every Mumbaikar too.It comprises Dal Vada, Sabundana Vada, Veg cutlet, batata vada and most importantly Kotimbir wadi. They served all of these with 3 chutneys - tamarind chutney, spicy chutney and dry garlic powder. Recommended.ANDHRA CHICKENAndhra food is definitely spicy and this is a spice tour along with veggies like peppers and onions.MAINSCHICKEN SUKHAI had a tough time choosing another dish after I saw Butter Chicken in the menu however I wanted to try something different. This was South Indian style sukha chicken with bones coated with delicious marinade gravy. Recommended.DESSERTSTRAWBERRY CREAMSeasons delight is strawberry cream. Here they call it From Mahableshwar to Bombay. The strawberries were irresistible and the glass was hard to share. The cream was perfectly whipped and fresh with pure sweetness. Its a treat you shouldnt miss tis season.KULFI FALOODAAbsolutel loved how well they served this dessert. Over a weighing chain plate which certainly made me thing Do I have to weigh my calories consumed or rather just be blah and relish this sinfully yumm dessertIt was a really nice lunch and I had a great time.

Viva bombay has been a new opening in chembur right next to le cafe . I had really high expectations from the place . But kind of a bit disappointed from the place . The service is very slow and the staff is always confused with the orders .One must say their menu is very precise but less of options for vegetarians . The service from the staff is good they are well versed with the menu and try and suggest you the best .1- Drumstick soup2- Khichiya3- masala papad4- Roti basket5- Hari mirchi ke kebab6- Paneer Pasanda (which was too sweet to be eaten )over all a 3/4 for the place.

We visited this place for a family get together and were pleasantly surprised by how courteous and understanding the staff was. That for us was the highlight. Of course the food was delicious too. Of the things we ate were:Vegetable Pattice With ChholeChur Chur PaneerMaharashtrian PlatterUnfortunately most of our ordered items turned out to be fried and hence heavy. Wish the person taking order couldve recommended us otherwise. Anyway, everything that we ordered tasted delicious, especially the chhole that came along with the pattice and the chur chur paneer! exceptional! For drinks we had New Zealand Style Mojitoand Tuskar and it was refreshing and fizzy all the same. A great tangy and sweet twist along with food. For desserts it was the Royal Punjabi Kulfi With Falooda that came very interestingly on a weighing scale and Baked Rasgulla which looked like caramel custard but the taste blew our mind!Over all, it was a great experience and we would definitely visit the place again to try out more food.

If you are not much of a traveler and havent been able to witness the beauty, stories and the feel of our very own city - Bombay - then this place should be your next destination to be at.Via Bombay , for sure has to give you all the nostalgic moments back if youve been a apart of the real culture and helps you get a taste of the authentic indian meals. Their ambience fits perfectly to their theme with their major wall creativity being only Indian newspapers. They have posters and newspaper hung and framed everywhere. But at the same time everything seems to look simple and calm. The food is undoubtedly the most perfect and authentic one. I tried some really new and different things like Bhavnagri Khatta Meetha Chillies from Gujarat, Prawns balchao in homemade bao from Goa, Galouti Kebab from Lucknow, Sukha Chicken with Kora Rotti from mangalore and our north indian style dum ki kaali dal with chura paratha. All of these are highly recommended dishes. The khatta Meetha chilllies with amrud chutney was something really good to start with. Not spicy and tasted amazing with the chutney ( more like sweet dahi and some amrud powder )the prawns balchao was a really good combination of perfectly cooked goan style prawns balchao (its a tough job to cook seafood to such perfection) with extremely soft bao / buns (more like less sweetened south indian appams)Galaouti Kebab definitely did its job. Literally melts in your mouth! Its a very filling appetizer to be honest. The mains included the kaali dal (very soft and creamy) and parantha, manglorean kora rotti and chicken ( I am not a big fan of chicken pieces with bones with less gravy and more masala but this is too good to be missed out on) and kheema naan (not stuffed, just a bit of minced mutton spread between the soft buttery naan)The unique cocktail that I tried was their Patiala lassi! Rum based and had coconut milk. The dessert was super cool! Ive been very excited since Ive seen their presentation for Kulfi Falooda and definitely would to try it in future. Although Lonavala Chikki Chocolate Icecream just grabbed my attention and now has my heart. Im not fond of chikkis but this one was a mix of belgian chocolate icecream and sesame seeds, very soft and easy to eat, and decent size.A brand new addition to chembur which will soon be popular all over Mumbai for sure!

The food is ok not that great... Sarson ka saag n makkai ki roti is worst.... Bland taste n makkai roti so dry. Very less option in menu for main course there was only one Paneer main course option and that too was in white gravy which was tooo heavy and bland. Drumstick soup was good. The veg platter not so great. Kulfi taste was awesome excatly like Mumbaiya Kulfi and the caramel custard was nice.Yes Ambience is good like old Mumbai feeling but food is the most important for any restaurant and it that doesnt taste good then no second thoughts for this restaurant. We got Panipuris complimentary and it tasted awesome.Chicken Biryani tasted good. The Karari Roti was extremely nice with onion Tomato masala and species. Overall experience not that great. Via Bombay is a restaurant in Hotel ‘Jewel of Chembur’ and soon, it could become a jewel in the Indian cuisine space itself. The restaurant is known to serve delicious Indian and Asian cuisines, at relatively fair prices. In their own words, the restaurant is described as a way to travel back in time to the Bombay that was, and enjoy authentic Indian and Asian flavours. Flavours that roll on your plate and linger in your memory. Well, to be honest, we couldn’t have described our experience at Via Bombay any better. The place is brimming with posters of old and classic Indian Ads that would take your mind on a trip down to the nostalgia lane. The place has a sophisticated vibe and there is a different kind of warmth in the air of this place. That may be due to the décor and the lighting of the place or maybe the credit goes to the extremely welcoming and courteous staff. This place is an example of hospitality done right.Coming to the food, we started off with Palak Patta chat and it set our tone for the evening. It is very difficult to find good Palak Patta chat in Mumbai, which is authentic in flavours, and memorable in taste. But this one comes close! After having the crispy chat, we were looking forward to other dishes that we ordered and our expectations were high. We were also recommended to try the Drumstick Soup, which was pretty good. Next on our list was Dahi Tikki, which was equally awesome, if not better than the chat.In the main course, Via Bombay Baigan Ka Bharta, Pind de Chhole and Sarson ka Saag/Makai di Roti, are high on our must-have (recommended) list. For desserts, we had the Royal Punjabi Kulfi With Falooda. This thing looks as awesome and is as instagrammable as its name sounds, and it tastes even better! It was our favourite dish and the highlight of our evening. Its taste was very natural and it was just the right amount of sweet, not overbearing at all. This one tops our ‘must-have’ list by a mile! This place is highly recommended to those people who love Ghar ka Khaana and have a soft spot for desi flavours. It has got good options for vegetarians as well, and it is fun for the whole family. There is something for everyone here!

Visited this restaurant on just a passing recommendation from a relative. Was informed that they serve good thalis for lunch. Situated in Chembur opposite BMC office. The restaurant is a part of a hotel namely The Pride of Chembur. I 2as really surprised and happy to have visited it on just a passing recommendation. Very nice interiors, good menu and really nice service. The food quality is also very good, had the thali and was really impressed. It consists of Sukha Bhaji / Gravy / Dal / Rice / Curd / Chapati / Sweet Dish / Butter Milk / Papad / Aachar. Its the same with Veg & Non Veg. Prices are also not too expensive. They also serve Alcohol and have Happy hours and various other options... Bar is well stocked. After the billing they serve you Ice Pepsi colas which we used to have have when we were in school. Recomend it to the ones who relish Non Veg food...

Worst food. All food is sweet and tasteless. Not sure if chef has tested the food himself / herself. I ordered Asian soup, it was watery, I ordered noodles it was sweet. When I asked, why it is like that, waiter mentioned it is for children. I mean what ??? They have designed the menu very thoughtfully but I guess they have not added any effort in improving the taste. It is fancy but not even worth trying once.. I only like papad in via Bombay, thankfully that was readymade.

This isnt the first time Im having that dish served with fulkas) the taste has gone drastically down , the fulkas were served close . Slow service . The only commendable thing and the reason I have a single star is for its hygiene ..nothing else . We were 5 members had to shell out 7.5k for average and below average food with alcohol . Better go somewhere have a buffet with alcohol at a much cheaper rate . Ruined my Christmas

A place that has got some delicious food. The service is cordial. The ambiance is not very happening, yet it will end up attracting you. A bar right in front of the seating area is a treat to watch. They serve various cuisines with a specialty in North Indian and Maharashtrian cuisines. For varieties of the reasons, this place can be visited- good food is the best of all reasons. Tried various dishes and loved most of them.Anarkali: A seasonal mocktail- strawberry based. Fresh strawberries were used. Crushed ice topped with fresh strawberries. Pink salt over the rim of the glass goes well with the drink. A few chia seeds in the drink could have done full justice to the drink. A highly recommended drink.Gannewaala Peg: A gin-based cocktail with sugarcane syrup. A sugarcane stick dipped into the drink. With a perfect amount of bitters, this drink is a must try.The appetizers are really delicious here. Tried a few of them.Palak Patta Chaat: A must try dish from their menu. Served with grilled apple. The crunchiness of palak patta is worth every attention. The presentation is so picturesque that you can’t stop yourself taking a pic or two.Chilli with Amrud Chutney: The amrud chutney was so good- complements the chilli. A great choice. Chilli- not too spicy and anyone can have them. A highly recommended dish.In the main course, we had Masala Bhat, Sindhi Mutton, and Butter chicken.Butter Chicken: Boneless pieces of tandoor chicken goes well with the butter gravy. One of the best recipes of butter chicken, I tried at this place. Too delicious, Yummy. Would love to visit the place again just to try butter chicken.Sindhi Mutton: A disappointing choice. Not a great choice. May be an off day with the cook.Masala Bhat: More of a home-cooked Tehri. Although delicious but failed to justify our choice.Overall, A nice and decent place for a meal.My ratings:Ambiance: 4/5Food: 4/5Drinks: 4/5Service: 5/5Overall: 4/5

From past few months Im exploring Chembur, and I tell you, its not letting me down. There are few amazing places to dining in Chembur! One being Via Bombay. The route to our gastronomic senses via Via Bombay was a good chocie that I could quickly decide for a person who just came to India and wanted good Indian food. The theme of the restaurant was not overly or daunting, but presenting Bombay in a very vivid mood through subtleties. We were welcomed with complimentary Paani Puri in a Brass Plate and खट्टा पानी in a लोटा. All free things are not bad! (A marketing gimmicks could be, but I loved the concept!) The food that we ordered was palatable and tasted authentic enough, with no such complaints. Again, while we were engrossed in clearing our bills, they provided us with Sanas काला खट्टा & नारंगी Liquidy tubes for us to suck. Meeetha finally kuch ho hi gaya!
