Siddhivinayak Temple traces its roots to the year 1801 when it was originally built by a man named Laxman Vithu. The construction of the shrine was funded by a rich, childless woman named Deubai Patil with the belief that Lord Ganesha will grant the wishes of other women who havent had a child yet.

The best devotional place where the Devotees praise Lord and pray for their wishes to come true. By the blessings of Lord Ganesha many start their day. The place has a great ambiance where the air too is filled with devotion towards god. Really best place to worship God seek blessings and wait for wishes to come true.

Shree Sidddhivinayak Mandir, situated in Prabhadevi, in the central part of island city of Mumbai, is a temple devoted to Lord Ganesh. It was built in 1801 and its renovations began in 1990 and completed in 1993. The current temple is multi angled six storied structure built with granite and pink marble. The Ganesh murti installed in this temple has many special features. Its two upper arms carry lotus and axe in right and left arm respectively, while its two lower arms hold japamala and a bowl of modaks in right and left arm respectively.the centre of forehead has a third eye.Instead of sacred thread, the snake crosses idols trunk from left shoulder towards right side of abdomen. the temple is visited by thousands of devotees daily and the crowd is at its peak on Tuesdays. In Siddhivinayak Mandir, a devotee is likely to bump across celebrities from different fields such as Bollywood, politics, cricket stars etc. This mandir is a smart mandir where you can book a darshan through internate and also participate in arati virtually. The mandir complex also has a small Hanuman Temple.

A Hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Shri Ganesh is a standing testament to beauty and architecture. Constructed in 1801, the temple entertains thousands of devotees every single day. The Siddhivinayak Mandir evolved from a little place of worship to the Grand Temple that stands today in the later 50% of the twentieth century. Siddhivinayak is notable as Navasacha Ganapati or Navasala Pavanara Ganapati among devotees. If you are visiting the temple try to reach the temple by 4.30 AM for Morning Arti so that you avoid long queues. There is also another special queue for senior citizens. Try to visit the temple during weekdays and also be careful with the children.

Its a Lord Ganesha temple which is “swayambhu” [means self-manifested, self-existing, or that is created by its own accord] it means that the Lord Ganesha statue is self created or it is emerged from the ground as said by the localites living over there. Thats the reason its the most holy place in Mumbai. Its a Divine experience entering in the temple a very peaceful and happy atmosphere you can also sit there for a while chanting aarti, mantra etc.You also need to taste their Prasad made of pure ghee.Overall a very good and nice place to visit

The temple was worked by the contractor Laxman Vithu Patil financed by rich Agri woman named Deubai PatilDeubai Patil Childless, Deubai Patil,Financer of Temple, built the temple so that the Lord should grant children to many childless server donne home is believed that wishes are fulfilled in this templeImportance of Idol The idol was cut out of a solitary dark stone and is 26 high and 2 wide with the trunk on the right making it unusual. On the two sides of the icon ,Riddhi and Siddhi are placed and stomach is not too wide as compared to the other Ganesha symbols. The trunk of this deity is turned in the right side and this is one of the most popular and different forms of Ganapati. It is said that it is very easy to please this form of Ganesha and similarly difficult if annoyed.Because of these two deities along with Lord Ganesh, this temple is known as the Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple and Swambhu as not made by man.Technology and religion now moves hand- in -hand.Now many e-sevas services and online booking for darshan ,pooja and Prasad is available making it hassle-free.There is provision for all services.Siddhivinayak Temple Timings:Pooja DetailsPooja Booking Office timingsDaily between 6.00 am and 9.00 pm at the Pooja Booking Counter outside Gate No.: 3.Wednesday to MondayKakad Aarti – The early morning prayer: at 5.30 a.m. to 6.00 a.m.Shree Darshan – morning at 6.00 a.m. to afternoon 12.15 p.m.Naivedhya – afternoon at 12.15 p.m. to afternoon 12.30 p.m.Shree Darshan – afternoon at 12.30 p.m. to evening 7.20 p.m.Aarti -Evening – The evening Prayer : 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.mShree Darshan – at 8.00 p.m. to 9.50 p.mShej Aarti – The last Aarti of the day before bedtime : night 9.50 p. m.
