Dr. Kahale was truly a blessing in disguise, at the time of performing an Angioplasty for my mother. At the time of our reaching the hospital, and passing onto him timely situational updates, he had a pro-active approach and presented himself at the Emergency Entrance. Things from that juncture, went on quite smoothly, with all the arrangements happening much in advance owing to our prior apprising. The situation then, was quite tense for me, as always is for any son when an event of such a degree of distress, takes centre-stage. In February 2014, I had mild chest discomfort. My stress test was positive for stress induced ischemia. On consultation with Dr Pravin Kahale, Cardiologist from Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, Coronary Angiography was done in April 2014.On a second opinion from a renowned Cardio thoracic surgeon from a big cardiac Hospital in Mumbai, I was advised to undergo an emergency Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) surgery and was advised that it was the last option for such type of blockages. I was also strongly advised that if I underwent only angioplasty then I will have to come within the next one month back for CABG.Due to personal reasons, I was reluctant for CABG. Hence, I went back to Dr Pravin Kahale at Ambani hospital. Dr Pravin Kahale explained the pros and cons of PTCI vis a vis CABG. He further clarified to me that I can also opt for PTCI of LAD which would be helpful. He also assured me that I will not need CABG surgery for many years after the stenting of LAD.In April 2014, Dr Pravin Kahale did PTCA and stenting of LAD. Post stenting, I was stable and was discharged next day. Since then I do not have any symptoms related to heart and am absolutely fine till today. My repeated ECGs and 2 D Echos have shown normal readings and also my blood pressure and diabetes is under control.In April next year it will be 7 years. New lease on life!... Dr.Pravin Kahale was God sent to us at a time when our then senior cardiologist had run out of all possible medical options and declared the inevitable for his patient (our Aunt). Miraculously under Dr. Kahales expert care, my now 90 year old aunt not only survived the hospitalization, but is presently leading a fairly normal life. I think the hospital should change Dr. Kahales title to Heart Success doctor rather than the Heart Failure doctor.He has treated us so nicely and courteously, which is a very rare quality. I had chronic heart problems and my aorotic valve was replaced in 1993 and it was not successful. In 2013 I consulted Dr Kahale after some major heart problem and was operated having done bypass and new valve replacement in 2013. Dr Pravin Kahale is an outstanding cardiologist based at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. I walked into the emergency department at Kokilaben Hospital a month ago with severe chest pain. The speed and efficiency with which Dr Kahale and his team addressed the cardiac emergency was exemplary - it would be no exaggeration to say that a delay of even a few minutes would have brought about a completely different outcome. Not just the handling of the emergency but also the treatment and care given after the angioplasty procedure were very impressive. Dr Kahale went out of his way to explain what had been done and what care needed to be taken going forward. His manner was reassuring and he facilitated a quick recovery with a combination of drugs and rehabilitative treatment. Dr Kahale has given me a second lease of life and I am grateful to him for this.

Dr. Kahale has been very instrumental in helping my father retain a great healthy life. My fathers creatinine was very high moving to a stage where he would need dialysis and at that time my father went into the hospital w angina for which angioplasty was done by Dr. Kahale. Dr. Kahale treated my father w medication brought the creatinine to normal and has prescribed the best medication which doesnt even affect the kidneys. He also, has treated my father w a holistic approach and prescribed fewer drugs for his over all well being. So we dont have to see an added doctor for diabetes management. As a Physiotherapist, I believe using fewer drugs is better as there is lesser damage to the overall well being of a patient. So I would vouch for this doctor. He is very ethical, shows compassion and has high integrity.

I had brought my father to Kokilaben Hospital in an emergency situation when he was undergoing a major heart attack at about 1.30 am in the night. It was a hospital to hospital transfer by ambulance and an extremely stressful time for us. But the emergency team at the hospital swung into action immediately and Dr. Pravin Kahale was the on call cardiologist that night. He was very prompt and precise with the next course of action and my dads angiography and angioplasty was done by him within the next couple of hrs taking my father out of danger. At that time of duress what really helped us was Dr.Kahale took the trouble to talk and explain to us in detail what was going on. Also his confident and very approachable attitude really helped us get through that night. Even after that Dr.Pravin has been always available and patient whenever we have had any queries or questions (which is very reassuring when your family member is recovering in hospital).
