Janata bar is my go to place for a great evening with friends. Good food, Good drinks, Happy atmosphere, cooperative servers, excellent service, great speed of delivery of food and drink.No wonder it find itself in many travel books and is famous with locals and travellers including foreigners alike. Also a very safe place for girls. Unlike a typical bar restaurant where only men frequent you will see many of the equal gender and that also builds a unique melting pot of faces and voice. People share seats when it is full. They have three sections. Non AC on ground floor and Two AC sections on the top floor. They need to take care of fire safety since the route to the top floor is by a narrow staircase and the kitchen is right below.

This Hotel is at Bandra Hill Road Junction, You will see the sophisticated crowd visiting this place. The only challenge is of place. If you reach after 8 pm there then you have to wait till the table gets empty or may be share the table with someone. Ambiance is good but yea lot of noise as its compact place so upstairs they have 2 sections one section of 150 sqft with 10 Tables and second section of 100 sqft with 6 Tables. So you can imagine how much noisy it would be when all tables are full and with so much noise you try to speak than the normal tone of yours. Whatever but with crowd that comes there you forget all this. I recommend friends, couples and family to visit here for food and drinks.

Table space could improve. We had 3 heavy weights n could have had the kids get another table. But the guys just refused. Several times. Guess its maximising your assets. N it was Sunday too. I would not complain on a Saturday.

Heritage venue... Excellent Indian food (Id suggest avoid the Chinese), well priced, prompt service. Only issue is that because the place is small, they ask you to share tables with unknown people during peak hours which isnt ideal.

Good place to get cheap beer in Mumbai. Although it was a bit cramped for space but service is smooth and quick, reasonable price. Courteous staff, I forgot my bag in restaurant, the guys who was servings me literally ran 100m to hand over my bag.

Walk in for a casual drink with a friend. Always overcrowded, the staff still manages to find you a place, may it be sharing and awkward glances at people sitting infront of you.
