Initially I got mild fever followed by loss in taste and smell. When I approached Dr Thomas, I had started getting a dry cough which needed immediate attention.Dr Thomas was very quick in addressing the symptoms and arranged blood tests and CT scans. I was referred to Dr Jacob Thomas for my father by his cardiologist at Lilavati. My dad is a heart patient with CKD, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. He was having fluctuating sugar levels due to mismanagement of his blood sugars and being a kidney patient had to be moved completely to insulin. It was really a task understanding his blood sugars and trying to bring them under control since there are so many restrictions if you have heart and kidney ailments. When I consulted Dr Jacob online amidst all the current covid situation, he was very considerate about my fathers condition and advised we have the CGM patch fixed to his arm for continuous monitoring and to access his condition. He was kind enough to have his staff come by our car to take the daily readings so as to avoid direct exposure to patients considering my dads weak condition. Great clinic for a Type 1 diabetic too! Dr. Jacob helped me get my blood sugar under control while reducing occurrences of low blood sugar. He has guided me to manage my own blood sugar levels! :)

My mother had history of hypertension and elevated blood sugar levels for which the local doctor had prescribed medicines. However these were not effective. When we consulted Dr. Jacob for the same he changed the medication for hypertension and for blood sugar suggested to attach a CGM device that would monitor her blood glucose every 15 minutes. We did this for 14 days without any medication for elevated sugars and realised that my mothers blood sugar was controlled very well with diabetic diet and exercise alone and medication was not needed. I am a sixty years, went to Dr Jacob Thomas on 3rd June 1919 with high sugar(369) to be precise. But his reassuring confidence gave me hope and motivation to control the hih sugar levels.
