The best authentic South Indian breakfast Ive ever had! A unique dish they have is Sett Dosa with butter & podi, absolutely delicious. It had a sweet tinch and was generously loaded with butter. The Podi Idli was yum. Their sambhar and chutney were just perfect. I loved their Pineapple Sheera, it had pineapple pieces, not too sweet and no added colour. Thats how authentic they are. I generally stay away from food with synthetic colours. Nice Filter Coffee. Preferably visit on a weekdays as theres a long wait time on weekends, especially Sunday. Decent ambience and good staff. They are a bit over priced, however, when the food is so delectable, its worthed! Kudos to this restaurant for having maintained the quality of their food for decades and generations.#highlyrecommended #authentic #mustvisit

There is no complaint about food here. And the quality and quantity of the parcel and the food is great. I suggest that you should order for a meal from here and have fun. I think this will be a good experience for you. I am happy with this experience. This is not to harm your respect but it is necessary to write here.I recommend the manager of the restaurant and the high official of that, that you should pay attention to the staff of the restaurant. The behavior of the staff with the people who came to the restaurant was not looking right. People who come here scream like the local market, yet the staff does not answer properly.they reply According to their wishes, after seeing the people, they answer.

I cant believe it took me so long to come across this gem of a restaurant. A very rustic deli serving authentic south indian delights. The place is always full with people so do expect 10-15 minutes waiting time. The staff was very cooperative in ensuring that our entire group of 16 people could eat together during rush. The service time is fine and the food taste is simply outstanding. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Medu Vada and Onion Uttapam which were absolutely delightful. But the show star was their signature kaapi served in the traditional dabra vessel and that is a type of coffee I wont mind traveling 70kms for again! The prices are surprisingly economical too, highly recommended!

Average taste with above normal price... They charge for even one extra Chatni and extra Sambhar. The issue is not extra charge but the issue is that the initial chatni and sambhar which comes is sufficient only for 20-25% of dosa literally... This is where they compell you to order extra chatni-sambhar and then charge extra over it.

Cafe Madras is located at Matunga circle. It has been around for quite a long time now and has that old school charm. Even though the area has many eateries around, it still holds its own. The place is only known for 1 thing and 1 thing that should matter - Food. Authentic South Indian Food. No matter what time of the day you go there, youll have to wait your turn. Such is the reputation of the place that people always come there for a bite or two. The food is absolutely sumptuous and worth every penny. The staff are thoroughly professional and courteous. If you are from the south and know the language, you can strike a chord with the staff who love to speak a word or two in their local dialect. The prices are very pocket friendly considering the quality of the food. Youll feel like coming back for more.
