We started going to the race course last year in 2020 post 1st lockdown. It was amazing. It felt so good to be out in such a wide open air environment. Its so spacious and green. It is really a beautiful place to be and just enjoy company of friends.We went with couple friends and their dogs and met plenty of people with their kids etc. Everyone was just enjoying playing or chatting or walking. There are few smaller parks within to walk and so lots of options.The only annoying thing was that the horses have their polo games at the field hence we had to wait till that was over in order to step on the grass and enjoy. Sometimes games ran late and because we drove from Khar it started to become late for us since our daughter sleeps early...But it was worth it nonetheless. Just being able to be out in such a big space made all the difference to our physical, emotional and mental health during the pandemic.I dont think there are any bathrooms which is another point of concern actually but the restaurant is just a 10min walk from the race course so could be an option.Absolutely recommend to any adult or child.

Very good place for running and jogging, also you can play football, do yoga on the grass and many other activities. The place is very vast covering large amount of ground.

Mahalaxmi Racecourse is one of the best joggers park provided in south Mumbai region with 2.2 km dirt track.Actually its hourse racing track and opened publicly to runners, morning walk, jogging, yoga exercises, playing cricket, football, cycling, badminton and such a huge area to relax & leisure.It’s quite an experience to run in the vicinity of Derby horses, and there’s a nice green inside the track for a stretch.The track has no admission charge and is open to runners from 5am-9am and 4pm-8pm.Racecourse place is full of greenery, cool breeze, freah air & some times horses around which gives nice cool vibes while running.Alot of stray dogs n cats are around with  friendly natures.Horse riding and driving lessons available here.Parking is free for bikes n cars.Because of Covid youll see the difference in the opening and the closing time for the race course like it closes early in the evening as compared to the usual timings...

The outdoor sitting at Gallops is a perfect arrangement over the greens. The weather plays out to make it romantic.The food is amazing.Now the bad side.The service spoils the entire fun of the food & atmosphere. The servers are not trained and polished, they are not in the best of spirits.They give you the table for a 2 hours period ( thats cool as they state it in advance) but within a hour you will see the waiters wanting to get you the bill, which makes you unwelcome to the restaurant.There is a 10% service charge which is not worth the deliverables.The turf club members get a 20% discount on the food & 15% on the Alcohol.

Too many people.Too many stray dogs too.But great for a walk and run.And to run my dog too.

I am lucky to have this place near my home. And we can daily go there for morning walk and exercise. There is 2km track for jogging and walking and space for yoga and other activities. And everything is free and parking also free for two and four Wheelers.

The atmosphere is great,filled with greenery and fresh air.For morning workout or jogging this is the perfect place as it includes two circular track ,both of 2 km length. In between these two tracks there is big circular ground, where you can play football, cricket, etc (only sat n sun when there is no horse racing match) and it includes a core exercises area and a nice place for practicing yoga.Thankyou😊👍

As the name says, its a race course located in Mahalaxmi Mumbai town area. Awesome place to be. If you dont get entry hear atleast you can hangout at Haji Ali sea face. Happening area and has a very beautiful crowd. Haji Ali is a tourist place. And one of the richest area in India.

Attended sunburn festival there, great place for events and gathering.Can accommodate more than 30,000 crowd.Near to the nearby mahalakshmi railway station just 1 km, you can walk to that place.Evening view is great there you can see the sunset(for photographers).Great place to host a concert.

It is said that very big players of underworld frequently used to visit Mahalaxmi Race course. Sunsets are amazing. I saw few aged people running on track. Experienced Royal from heart after bidding on horses.. Mera wala ghoda 5 No. Ka hai... aur apna Jockey Sandesh hai. Must visit once in your life and do bid on horses. Rest its an old vintage club, ample space of parking, good area and environment for jogging & walk in morning or evening.

Go Secretariat go..!Mahalaxmi racecourse reminds me one of my all-time favorite movies, The Secretariat.Have been going to this place since last 6 years and only on the The Great Indian Kingfisher Derby. It takes place on First Sunday of February every year and has been there for many many decades.The atmosphere is breathtaking and entertainment is in the air. Beer and street food lovers can really have gala time here.There is an entry fee and a mobile permission fee (total approx 400) that you could buy from gate no 5 and gate no 6.The best thing here is legal betting on horse racing. One could bet from 5 Rs until Lakhs of Rs. I suggest unless you understand everything about horses, jockeys, coaches, stables, horse foods, races etc you should bet just for and in ranges of 100 Rs to 500 Rs on each race.Hang out with old timer uncles and aunties while they try to lay their bets. Their experience about the horse races is amazing. Also get to see some cool dudes and trendy dudettes. Mumbais best cars can be seen here for free. If you have a great day, you could get to see Bollywood celebrities around.For best time spent, do not take your vehicle their.
