The place is divided into 3 sections on 3 floors. The ground floor gives you the feeling of travelling in a railway coach. First floor is surrounded by an aquarium with beautiful fishes in them. The second floor decor is modern and quite artistic. The staff is very polite and will help you in choosing from the variety of options on the menu. Food comes to your table fairly quick. We tried the following :Crispy Thread Paneer - Pieces of paneer were covered with crispy noodles. We had to bite through layers of noodles to get to the paneer and it didnt taste that great.San Pai Chicken - Probably the best dish we had here. Tender and juicy chunks of Chicken sauteed in Oyster Chilli Garlic sauce with Bok Choy & Bean Sprouts to add that extra crunch and freshness were true delight in terms of flavour..😍Grilled Chicken Bao - Disappointing in terms of taste. The combination of the elements just didnt feel right.Chilli Basil Coriander Pot Noodles Veg - Another flavourful dish which was delicious. The gravy was full of spices which gave this simple dish with few elements that something extra..🤤Dal Khichdi - This was not on the menu and they were happy to provide it for us. It was hot and delicious, just the way it should be.Peach Ice Tea - A bit too sweet for our liking..
A fun filled lunch with lip smacking food and a beautiful ambiance here. It was a really good place the servers were constantly in check with our experience and our comfort. They were very hospitable, the service was a little slow but the ambiance made sure we weren’t bored while waiting for the food.
It is a really amazing restaurant with train theme at ground level, aquarium theme in first floor and comfy sofa chair set up in top floor... its like the best experience .. food was amazing.. only drawback is the quantity if food .. quantity of food is very less ...its hyped onky because of its infrastructure... otherwise the food n menu is completely regular nothing different n even high prices for less quantity.. its worth a visit..but...remember to carry your own snacks ..the restaurant might be claustrophobic for some people
Pros:1. Great Ambience. Very carefully designed. The ground floor has two-tiered train based theme. Brought back memories of the sleeper train journey. The top floor has hammocks and aquariums.2. Great Service. The staff was very supportive to our requests. Prompt service.3. Yummy food. Good quantity.Cons: Slightly overpriced. The hammocks were uncomfortable to sit throughout the duration of the meal.
This hotel is an aquarium theme hotel. Though the hotel has 3 storeys, including the ground floor, the seating space is very limited. One has to climb few flight of steps of spiral staircase to reach first floor where the seating place including roof is surrounded on all sides by aquarium which gives an unique feeling. When it comes to food choices, it offers mostly sea and non veg varieties. The veg choices are very very limited. The service is very slow even during non peak hours. The only parking available for cars is on main busy road right below traffic police no parking board. One has to take chance with ones car parking. Food is on costly side considering the food quality (veg). Overall a place to visit only when one has a chauffeur driven car, looking for sea or non veg food and has plenty of time to wait for food to get served. Hotel also offers valet service.
Located on the main road, this place is very easy to reach. This restaurant revolves around three themes, one on each floor. The ground floor is themed reflecting Mumbai locals and hence the seats, tables are just as you see in trains. The first floor is an aquarium, where you get to enjoy meals with fishes swimming around you. The second floor is floral, with swings and high-low seating. We chose the aquarium to enjoy our meal. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The food too is good in taste and portion size. They also gave us a complimentary cupcake which was a sweet gesture. The highlight though are the fishes that keep moving around. Overall a good place for a casual lunch or hanging out with friends.
Customized themes are classic ambience and they work really well in restaurants. Well, the best place that we go to for inspiration is nature and everyone sure does like a bit of water, air and land inspired theme around. Cafe Hydro, at its best, has managed to integrate 3 different themes together in one go. They have 3 different sections and each one of them is inspired from a different concept. Railways, a very important part of life for any Indian have made their way into this place in the most chic, classy and elegant way possible. The classic blue seats added a sort of zing to the place and made it look even better. Over the railways, are we the pretty flora inspired seats with a view to kill for. Hanging seats with a warm ball like feel sure add to the fun. An even better addition was done in the form of an aquatic themed arena over the topmost floor. We loved the place. The best part is No Tax & They give u thé bill with some bubblegum lollipops. Actually Veg options are less & more of non-veg but every dish is served with 2 classic toppings and the food is quite reasonable With amazing chefs.
Cafe Hydro is such an outlet which really blows your mind off , the multi cusine restaurant really surprises you as soon as you step right in .Its a 3 floor restaurant, and each floor is dedicated to a certain theme .The outlet in whole is Aqua themed. So the ground floor is themed after Mumbais lifeline i.e. Local trains .Even the flooring is upon railway track. And seating is designed like train seating the props are the rack where luggage is kept.It is very detailed execution. The first floor is about ocean ,Also what amazes here is that the walls here are of one huge fish tank , which just really makes it more beautiful. Its very lavish. The second floor is garden theme, even this has fish tank in one side, but the seating here changes and there are cloth swings , various masks are stick on wall. The lighting and everything makes it so soothing. Cute seating area and whole concept makes it soo amazing!!It even has 3 different kind of seating.Talking about the food , we had an amazing experience.Heres what we had ?🔶 Dynamite :-This was a 3 layered juice which had 3 different layers , and it was very nicely presented taste was also perfect and refreshing.🔷 Spicy Guava :-This is our all time favorite mocktail but this was quite actually more spicy.🔶 Chicken Manchow Soup :-The soup was great , it was spicy and also the chicken pieces were big enough. The flavor of ginger , garlic and chilly was strong ,Only it was may more thick🔷 Chicken Zaffrani Tikka :-Pieces of chicken perfectly marinated and cooked , which had an amazing smoky taste is all you need as a perfect appetizer.🔶 Chilly Chicken Dry :-Presentation of this was good , fried chicken pieces with an amazing marination tossed with a Little sauce and not loosing its cripsyness. Taste was good it was spicy.🔷 Burnt Garlic Chicken Rice :-This is usually our favorite item , but here it was tasting quite bitter in between. Quantity was very good .🔶Brownie with Ice Cream & Ice Cream:-Brownie with ice cream is something which we always prefer and this is best part of any meal it was really good , even we took only ice cream, 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream rich and full filling.Taste :-⭐⭐⭐⭐Price :-⭐⭐⭐⭐Staff & Service :-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Ambience:-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐( its really great )Value for money :-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐C.n.f short review✔️ Every worth penny ambience.✔️ Great food and good service✔️ Perfect for quality time with friends and family. So Cafe Hydro is such an outlet which you cannot miss !! We recommend you to visit in the evening, to enjoy the ambience❤
Quite a Cool and decent place for youngsters and kids.. Menu is different from other restaurants which is quite good... Only tried veg food for kids (kids party) which was amazingly delicious viz. Desi chilli poppers, fresh fries, burgers, Mumbai bao, onion rings, pasta..Would definitely like to go next time to try out Indonesian, Vietnamese food in Menu..
Food is pretty ok, nothing to WOW you. A good attempt to make stunning interior, doesnt seem to work though. Service needs serious improvements. Worth a visit once, may not visit again.
The ambience and decor are the best highlights of the restaurant and while they have been updated recently the service was not up to the mark at all.Food even when being pricey was good (is around 300 per dish) and edges more on fine dining as the potions are small.Chocolates at the end with a bill were a refreshing trend. We had to call the wait staff multiple number of times for simple things like a refill of water. The restaurant is also not easily accessible unfortunately due to a large portion of construction of roadwork going on before it.
The food was great but the table service was very bad. We have to ask for the menu and also for water, thats very unprofessional.
It is must visit place to have a unique experience with fishes all around you and taste some asian cuisine.I ordered paneer tikka bao (5/5) : It was freshly steamed Chinese bun hot soft and fluffy like a cushion. It tasted really well with the paneer tikka filling with some purple cabbage. A big Must try!!Mango chilli blast (5/5) : Indeed a blast in each and every sip i could taste the sweet taste of mango and then the spice of red chilli.Malaysian Flat Noodles (4/5) : It was simple stir fried noodles with some blanched spinach and some of their seasoning. If you are looking for something with spice then this is not recommended.Overall a great experienceAmbience - 4/5Food - 4/5Value for money - 4/5
Very nice place. Staff is very helpful . has very great ambiance. Must visit place
A very nice place nice food Nd nice infra♥️
Went for my birthday celebration! Enjoyed it thoroughly! The ambience, the service, the themes, the underwater feel, the props and specially the Chick-Oh-La-la dish and Mee Geereng They serve one of the best Peach iced tea. The hammock style seating area, the dark underwater dining area and their train seats theme ! Amazed!!! Such small space but what a creative use of it! Kudos Cafe Hydro! Thanks for making my birthday Special!
Such an awesome place. Good ambience, peaceful atmosphere, Tasty Food, Helpful Staff.Had a great time in cafe Hydro.
Best place to have tasty non veg meal in borivali. Great food, great ambience, great staff. Simply enjoyed my time wt family. Food was much above my expectations... Ordered for murg tangri kabab, spicy peri peri chicken and chicken pot noodles and everything was yummy anf finger licking...
Wanted to visit this cafe since its open but never got a chance and one fine day I have decide to go it was around 11 in night we entered in the cafe. 1st glance I felt its a small outlet and then Manager told us they have 2 more floors we went to 1st floor. The ground floor look is like train coach 1st floor they have bit colorful walls and ceilings are type of fish tanks kind of aquarium even the walls. The service was good. One family was already had order there food and while we were going through the menu we heard a screen from other table and then we encountered what Happened. To our surprised they have served her Non Vegetarian food she ate that as of she was not aware but later she realised that something is wrong. After seeing this I was not in a mood to order anything but my friend suggested me lets order a pizza and Juice then will leave. So we ordered a pizza and it was really delicious. The service was low but the attendent of our table was very polite and he was trying to confirm us that we will get Veg food only haha poor soul I felt for him. It was not his fault but he apologising. If you are a Vegetarian I wont suggest you to try this cafe as they have such a limited options for Veg. Nor they have parking space so be careful if you have vehicle.
Great joint for a quick bite and great ambiance. Nice quick bites on the menu which is delicious. (Loved the chicken wings BTW 😉)
Extremely bad experience. 1* is only for the ambience. We asked them for nachos, they said unavailable. The food quality is not good at all. We asked the waiter for cold coffee with icecream, he mixed the icecream in the cold coffee only. Then we ordered pizza, the pizza was very sweet.. And had only ketchup in the base. Never recommending it to anyone. Waiters are untrained.
Food fun fishes and malt (non-alcoholic beer) 😋😁😂A beautiful ambience after a long time.Surrounded by aquarium you can enjoy super awesome meals.
Nice ambience. But food quantity is very less. Any chicken starter has very small piece.
First floor is not so mentioned, like the lighting and ambience, didnt liked it much. Second floor was nice, but very less sitting arrangement.(only one couch type sofa, rest are stool types, and high bench couch) in all OK types, nothing extraordinary...
Nice ambience..Delicious food..Budget friendly..
People in the F&B business have long understood that it requires more than simply tinkering with the menu to earn repeat clients over customers.Serving tasty food wont do much good if the customers never even walk through the door in the first place. Consequently, a perpetual arms race of restaurant redesign has become a defining feature and this scramble has been especially frantic in the recent years with fast food giants and casual dining chains revamping their interiors.Cafe Hydro has kept all these things in mind and created a restaurant that appeals to diners senses. Everything here , from the Color of lighting to the appearance of the waitstaff is intriguing and does influence the dining behaviour of patrons. This place is absolutely elegant from the moment you walk past through the gigantic glass door to the top floor, every niche and corner is created beautifully. They have an aquariam with beautiful fishes on all the floors- the walls and ceilings, that makes your dining experience one of a kind.Staff is extremely polite and well versed with the menu. The manager, Mr. Rahul Sharma, hosted us extremely well and made sure we were comfortable. Full marks as far as the hospitality is concerned.** What We Ordered -~ Mocktails :• Orange and Kaffir lime Shikhanji - Kaffir lime, orange chunks and orange juice. Extremely refreshing. Had a tangy flavour. Dazz of Kaffir lime added to its taste.• Hydro Special - Another amazing mocktail. Cranberry based.*The mocktails here were a highlight for me*~ Appetizers :• Vietnamese fresh Spring Roll - Fresh vegetables with mint, basil, lettuce and coriander also having a small piece of pan fried cottage cheese and ramen noodles, rolled in thin rice paper sheet and served cold with tomato soya chilli dip. It was bland but delightful. Im not sure if it would blend well with peoples palattes unless you like conventional Vietnamese food.• Cottage cheese Brochettes - Asian spice, marinated tend fresh and succulent chunks of paneer, bell pepper. It was skewered and grilled and served with Chipotle mayonnaise and sweet chilli pineapple salsa. A good dish.• Onion Rings - Crumb fried white onions which were really crispy. Loved the crunch. It was served Asian spiced grilled tomato sauce and cheese dip.• Desi Chilli Poppers - Stuffed jalapeno with cheese, deep fried American corn served with roasted pepper mayonnaise and chilli cilantro aioli. loved the aioli. The poppers however lacked cheese.• Burger - Buns spread with spicy marinara sauce, layered with slices of tomato and lettuce, glazed onion and crispy veg patty. It was served with classic salty fries. Was really filling and scrumptious.• The Mumbai Bao - A medley of steamed Chinese bun with spiced potato patty (tasted much like the traditional Mumbai vada) sprinkled with garlic chutney and served with fries green chilli, Vietnamese chilli sauce and pickled daikon. Absolutely loved the blend of flavors.~ Mains :• Green Thai curry combo - Traditional fragrant Thai curry based on coconut milk served with fresh steamed jasmine rice. The Thai curry was a tad bit watery for me but tasted yum nevertheless.~ Dessert :• Lychees glazed with ginger honey sauce and served with vanilla ice cream. This dessert would take me back to Cafe Hydro in a heart beat. Absolutely loved it.Do Visit - Highly recommended.Bon Appetit :)
Trust us, this place has the cutest interiors we’ve ever seen. Extremely reasonable price & worth your money. What we ordered :Cheesy Paprika FriesFries with Asian seasoning dust served with yummy creamy cheese sauce! Great Infrastructure 😍, Interiors are so so cool with fishes in aquarium 😍 above you. Food is also great 👍🏻
This is a very sweet place to enjoy some quick bites and spend some quality time with your loved ones .
Customized themes are classic ambience and they work really well in restaurants. Hanging seats with a warm ball like feel sure add to the fun. An even better addition was done in the form of an aquatic themed arena over the topmost floor. We loved the place.Coming to the food and drinks, we started with the Mango Chilli Blast. A touch of spice with the sweet flavours of mango made it great to go. They had a hint of crushed chillies here and there with a touch of salt over the rim. In small sips, the spice was a bit overpowering but the bigger ones made it taste better. Next one was the Orange and Kaffir Lime. This one was strong, delicious and refreshing. The taste of kaffir lime overpowered each of the ingredients and made it taste better. It was a decent one. The Peach Cooler was served in a tall glass and had its own share of fame. It was more of a cooler than usual ice teas. The quantity was huge and it was quite rejuvenating too. The Cold Coffee was chilled and tasted bitter sweet as well as chilled ice in perfect proportions. The next thing that we tried were the Cheesy fries. They were sprinkled with cheese powder, and served with a side of cheese sauce. This one tasted okay and became too cheesy. They could have avoided the cheese powder which would have definitely made it better.Coming to the Chilli Garlic Pops, they were amazing. Fried to a perfect amount of crisp and loaded with cheese, it was drool-worthy. The garlic could have been slightly more to make it taste better. After this, came the Desi Chilli Poppers. These were stuffed with a river of cheese and jalapenos. We even tried the Veg Burger. Now, this one was stacked with crispy patties, lettuce, a taste of mayonnaise and impeccable flavours. The burger was accompanied with a side salad, fries and even a dip. It was quite filling and could definitely make up for a quick meal.Coming to the desserts, we tried the chocolate walnut brownie and the gooey chocolate cake. The brownie was loaded with walnuts. It had a smooth taste with a crunch given by the walnuts. It had a scoop of ice-cream to go with it as well. We loved this one absolutely. The gooey chocolate cake had a top of burnt chocolate to it. The flavour of burnt chocolate made it taste delicious and added a lot of smokiness to it. It was different than the usual extra-sweet chocolate cakes.Overall, the ambience rocks and the food is decent. It could be improved a bit but it surely won’t disappoint.Ambience: 5/5Taste Quotient: 3.5/5Service: 4/5
The Mumbai bao @cafehydro_mumbai, Cafe Hydro is such an outlet which really blows your mind off, the multi cuisine restaurant really surprises you as soon as you step right in. Its a 3 floor restaurant, and each floor is dedicated to a certain theme. The outlet in whole is Aqua themedThey specialise in multi cuisine and hence their menu is primarily divided into 3 parts which is Indian, Continental and Oriental. I loved the choices of dishes taken as the options are amazing for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Prices are not high and quantity served is great. Price for two is -1200In The picture- The Mumbai bao- A meddle of steamed chinese bun with the filling of fried spiced potato dumping sprinkled with traditional mumbai garlic chutneySo the ground floor is themed after Mumbais lifeline i.e. Local trains .Even the flooring is upon railway track, and seating is designed like train seating. It also has a small bar with seatings made in a local train style. The first floor is about ocean ,Also what amazes here is that the walls here are of one huge fish tank , which just really makes it more beautifulThe second floor is garden theme, even this has fish tank in one side, but the seating here changes and there are cloth swings , various masks are stick on wall. Cute seating area and whole concept makes it so amazing!!The service was great, we got food on time, the crowd is good at these place, the way it serve the food is okay(quiet normal)Happy Dinner ❤❤
Loved the ambience and the sitting arrangement... They have really worked hard on the structure... The food was also very good... Paneer bruschetta was very good and one must also try burgerest...
Food is tasty no doubt... but costly as they serve just two pieces for any dish. So just a suggestion just pay attention to quantity as well.
Superb ambience..good yummy food... Courteous staff...staff has good manners and etiquettes...Mr.Sunil n Prem gave us a great service..place to visit with family and friends...lil pricey but over all good experience...will surely visit again
Nice place to visit .upper Deck is cool with Japanese sitting and a corner swing seating for group of 4.something different than usual seating.food is good
Food was too bad. Ambience good but place was too cramped. Vigilance must be done by BMC.
Goos food good ambience good service. Over good place to hangout with family n friends
If you want to eat out in a very different ambience and you ca spend little extra, this place is for YOU.Food is okay. Not that great not that bad...Ground floor is designed like a train. You have upper birth and you can climb and dine there (i personally felt a little wiered) ( ac was not working also.).First floor was normal but it was smelling.Second floor was closed but i got a view it was nice.
Rating it a 2 star just because of how the place looks. The waiter first denied us of availing the zomato gold offer. The food was tasted pathetic in every way possible. Some of the dishes didnt even make sense. When asked to serve mango juice, we were given slice(katrina kaifs ad) in a keventers bottle(without the label ofcourse). Do not waste time & money.
Cafe is awesome... Interior is superb. At least u should go n try it out once
Good food and service. Ambience is great
Concept and ambience is good. Appetizers are decent too. Garlic bread not so much.

Its very nice place but food is not tasty...
Quality and quantity as per the rate not worth !! The ambience is unique but not jaw dropping. One time visit only !
Good ambience and tasty seafood.Service could be better.
Lots of aquarium ,like neptune restaurant in dubai. Food is okay. Kung pao potatoes was v salty. Nasi Goreng was very very spicy with no egg on top.
Good taste but slow service
If you fond of food.. u ll love the place. The chef is extremely talented and makes food outstandingly good.. and the best part is no where in mumbai or india u will get to eat under big aquarium .. beautiful marinewater fishes and makes you feel u r sitting underwater... Best experience.. very much recommended this place👍
Best scene ♥️♥️environment is great
Best place and good ambiance different varieties of food interior is photogenic
Good food, good ambience, good service
Its best cafe to visit in borivali..!! Interior of this cafe is just amazing. It has 3 different floor with different interiors.. 1) when you enter the cafe, on the left side their is high table sitting arrangement and on right side mumbai local type structure which is also divided in two parts, lower and upper..! 2) when you go little upper you find dinning tables with great ambience. on this floor if u look at up side then you find very big fish tank.! You feel like you sitting under that fish tank. Fishes are just roaming upper your head. Its feel very lively..! 3) its the last floor of this cafe. This floor has 3 different type of sitting arrangement. Sofa type, chair type, and last one, my favorite jula type sitting arrangement. Its all about interior. Cafe hydro is famous for food also. And really I liked the food also. Here is some dishes I tried over their, 1) spicy paneer roll 2) patato wedges 3) drink- hydro special. All 3 dishes are fine. Love to visit this place. All time favorite cafe. Quite costly. But its worth it.
Very beautiful place amazing serviceGood foodNice decor
Wonderful place lovey burgers
Great ambiance. Awesome food. Definitely try PanAsian cuisine.
Amazing ambience and decor. Food was average- momos are a must have.
Very beautiful ambience.... Fish tanks around you... Nice food ....
Great place to hangout with your friends. Always get the first and second floor seats as the third floor is cramped.
Awesome interiors , good food , good service !!!
Amazing food and lovely ambiance.
Best ambeince, apt for kids, finger licking food and slowest service...
Interior of this place is really great all the floors are great specially the 2nd floor. Food is fantastic. Waiter are very polite and good. Overall awesome place. Soon will be visiting again
They have some amazing cuisine with a fusion of Asian and Indian Street food. The mocktails are rich in flavors that are less known in the Indian culture.
Good themed interior and good food too
Great place to experience the train travel on the ground floor & fishes on the 2nd level
We had reserved our table but as dineout didnt informed cafe hydro we were not allowed and it was very embarrassing as it was my friends birthday and we wanted to just have a good time but due to no communication between those we had to face the outcome was even continuously calling on the cafes number that they have updated but it was always on busy tone if they would have atleast kept there phones ON we wouldnt have face such humiliation was really a bad experience.
Themed ambience with Train bogey concept on the Mezzanine floor and Acquarium concept on the first floor. Staff was courteous. Music was trendy and not too loud. We ordered a Sangla Tong (Hot and Sour chicken soup) and a Grilled Chicken Bao. Both were fairly good with generous pieces of chicken. The icing on the cake were the fried noodles which were served hot and tasted yummy. For the mains we were recommended to try the Whole Grilled Pomfret served with a portion of rice, mashed potatoes and some salad. The Pomfret was nicely done and tasted good. The indianized version of mashed potatoes was very good. We had a Mango Chili blast and Hot toddy mocktails to go with the food. Overall a gratifying VFM experience since we got a huge discount with Dineout.
I always like to go there. Food was great.staff also best .
It’s a very pretty place with good food but the service is quite slow like we had to wait 30 mins for one dish to show up and the after finishing that another 30 mins for the next dish.
I love this place very much bcus of the themes 3 floors train section beach and garden awesome food tasty mocktails worth it ❤chiken biryani , chiken grilled bau and the spl mocktail pine juice
Limited food options; quick service and good ambience
Top class food. Amazing aquatic ambience.
We ordered pasta which was not properly cooked. We were also not asked for water.Disgusting service.Got very disappointed by service.
One of the most beautiful cafe with Aquarium them. There are 3 levels all of them have their own charm but top level is what I loved the most. Would say that its the perfect place for friends to chill out and even for couples. Now coming to food, well its matches the expectation set by the interior. Perfectly cooked food with great taste and most importantly we didnt had to wait much after giving order. All the staff members greet you with a pleasant smile. Really impressed with cafe hydro. Would surely recommend it.
Try butter chicken and rumali roti...kung pao chicken at this place is just amazing...
This place is great for hangouts. The ambience is great.Interiors are good. Theres an aquarium on the first floor. Its beautiful.Food is awesome. Try the cheesy potato wedges here. Youll love it..

Awesome ambience and superb interior with the feel of aquarium around you... Great for quick bites... We ordered fries and burger... It was worth the price... Excellent service and cozy atmosphere makes this place a good go... 😍😍 Very happy after this visit 😊
