Went there on the basis of reviews. But had very pathetic experience. Good wasnt at all of the standard. Charges are too high for such food. Maybe it lockdown effect. Hope they will revive soon. And give good quality food.

An old epic place with branches all over. However, after all over they have come back to consolidate at this place. They have the genuine Gujarati Thali with the Mango options during the season. Visited @revivalmumbai after a long time. Many changes (detailed blog post shall follow) but the smile, service, quality and consistency is the same. Go visit now.

To start from the basics -Why to choose this restaurant ?Its located just opposite to Chowpatty and has a beach facing view .All the dishes we ordered were delicious.A new cool way to order at this restaurant ( via tablet)The service was quick and the staff was really helpful explaining the dishes in the menu and operating the device .The best thing I saw that was a lift specially designed for old people to avoid stairs.There was a manager supervising the staff and taking care of the customers .Excellent decor . The lights were put in order to create an illusion out of the mirror.Also they served a special drink carried out on like a thella !!!What more you want from a restaurant . ❣️

This restaurant is for Thali. If you are going for other options e.g sabji and roti then strictly dont go. Rumali roti costs rs 125 and its harder than papad.Ambience is only the plus point for this restaurant.Also they take 10% service charge + 5% GST. It means 15% extra .

Whenever you wish to have a scrumptious meal, one thing that comes to your mind is a Thali. A Thali includes variety of dishes from different Regions and States. In Mumbai there are many Restaurants that offer Thali, but a very few appeal your taste buds. The Thali at Revival was one such appealing and delicious meal. To have this Thali, you need to have a huge appetite; because apart from sweet, everything is unlimited.They serve the Thali in Bronze thalis. First they served us Tulsi Water and than they started coming with Sabjis, Rotis/Breads, Farsan/Savoury, Chaas/Buttermilk and two type of Dals and Kadhis. The Sabjis/Vegetable Curries were Potato-tomato curry, sprout-lentil curry and french beans sabji. There were 3 types of rotis- wheat roti, jowar roti and palak paratha/roti. The Farsan/savoury were Dal vada, Mix-Veg Muthiya and Pineapple Dal Dhokli. One sweet and another spicy dal . One Gujarati and another Bijapuri Kadhi. Chutneys, Pickles and Papad. There was so much, we couldnt understand what to have first. Wish the sweets were unlimites. The Menu Changes every day.Plus, Revival is located opposite Girgaum Chowpatty which makes it an ideal location to reach. The staff is warm and courteous. It is better to call and ask the menu and then book you table on weekends.All in all this was one of the best Thalis ive had in a long time.

It was a decent experience. The AamRas was made inhouse. The Chilman Biryani was delicious from inside. And the Fried ice-cream was really nice too.

Medium spicy and perfectly blended with much veggies. And sabji had the flavour of chulha. It was served in cooker. The taste of naan was also scrumptious.The sabji and the naan were perfect in combination.➡ Cheese chilli garlic open roomali - I had roomali roti but this was something very different and tasty. It was nicely crisp and the flavours of cheese nd garlic was very nice. Its aa must try dish.

This place is one of the oldest and I have been here plenty of times. the place is sea facing overlooking the beach. they have valet and pretty easily accessible.The ambiance is royal and seating is very comfortable. they have a seperate menu for pet dogs which is pretty unique. So they have an a la carte menu and thali which is unlimited. We opted for the thali. The thali is very reasonably priced in my opinion.The thali they have is actually a pan indian thali with a little more Gujarati touch to it. They had a good mix of dishes and well balanced flavours. There is something for every palat.Thali had all of the following1. Four vegetables of which one was Punjabi Chhole one was a south Indian style vegetable one potato gravy vegetable and one was cabbage. They were all good but nothing exceptional.2. One sweet Gujarati dal, one was dal fry, one Gujarati sweet kadhi and one was Rajasthani spicy kadhi. Except for the Rajasthani kadhi, rest of the three were pretty average.3. Three indian breads. one was fulka with ghee (my favourite) next was puri again great third one was kind of thepla but I am not sure. Irrespective it was good4. Three farsan one was khasta kachori which was exceptional and other was a pattice of sorts and great too. The next one was Ghugra again a Gujarati preparation but loved it.5. Three sweets one was Gulab Jamun which was very tasty but was tad bit hard. Second was Aam Ras which was great. loved the ras. Third was shrikhand again amazingly made. All in all loved the dessert.All in all this is a great family place to have the thali.

The beach view is more than you ask for. The hotel ambience is pretty good as well. I felt thali is not worth the money. Dont get me wrong its a quality food but I found taste pretty bland. The service wasnt that great despite few customers in afternoon.

I had this place on my list for Thali after watching Street food around the world feat. Vicky Ratnani. Loved the food, the ambience, the sea-facing view, the service except the dude who takes reservations. Usually the wait is around an hour if they say half an hour wait. Do ask for Pintu for the service, hes very polite.

Complete family restaurant ..This place offer buffet at Rs.449 per person which will cost you 519rs. After Gst... and you can eat any thing unlimited except for confectionaries. There is a limitation in sweets, you can only choose one from a three.. The price is bit expensive yet it can be visited once in a two month.The place is clean, hygienic and have a good ambiance.Good for family who are open minded because they serve drinks too!!

It serves you with very nice dishes from punjabi n gujrati flavour. Dont miss its thali. You can enjoy you lunch and dinner by looking at the sea n chowpatty beach as it is situated in building opposit to chowoatty beach. Recomended food is its gujarati thali.

The location top notch. The entrance top notch. The stairway leading to restaurant on the first floor, needs work,its pretty much cramped up, watch your head 6 footers. Reservations are recommended. The food (thali) was really good.

The Jain biryani is too good. Went for the red one. The taste was scrumptious 😋 .. must eat..Also the starters are good.

One of the few places where pets are allowed

This place offers a HUGE variety of all kinds of local foods. Everything tasted succulent. We took a thali platter, being refilled every time with whatever we felt was worth repeating. Id recommend smoked buttermilk, not for the taste itself (westerners beware, the taste is not what one might expect), but for the show how it is being prepared. Service was excellent, beyond expectations. Toilets are clean, as is the whole establishment. All in all, a great experience and I totally recommend.

Possibly the best Thaali in town! Bursting with flavours, authentic preparations, great service.... Especially if you want to bring guests from out of town/abroad... Its a unique experience for sure!

Delicious Food and good variety of different dishes. Good value for money. Liked the machines installed in the staircases for the differently abled persons. A pleasant surprise to see a family with their quiet golden retriever. Pet lovers can love this place. Value for money vegetarian food.

Simply wonderful. Thali is always fabulous. This time we had the opportunity to have Festivals of States food. It was truly unique and the taste was top notch. The service too is excellent. Highly recommend it to everyone.

One of best Vegetarian hotel near Marine Drive, I would recommend, Smoky Chass here is the main attractive in this cosy place. Staff is polite and mannered. This can he best place to celebrate birthday with a prebooking table.

The food & service is good. Had to wait for about half an hour to get a table as it was weekend but we got it at the time promised, worth the wait. Less star because its a Zomato Gold partner restaurant but it was not applicable on full menu.

The food looked great but we never actually got to eat there. We were seated at the same time as a large group from a tourist bus. I think the staff assumed we were part of the group as nobody took our order until we flagged them down. Then we sat for about 20 minutes and got nothing - no water, no service, nothing. Finally we told them we had to go (we had a train to catch and wanted to eat before we left) - the host admitted that they didnt realize we were eating by ourselves and werent a part of the group and so our order had never been submitted. We walked to a cafe a few doors down, ordered and were served our meals in 10 minutes.

Just loved the thali.. we were just amazed by the service and the ambience they had.. and they were serving like you are in some family functions with too much ghee and butter.. Loved the food.. Highly recommend for every vegetarian
